    Description

    • This set comes with the 50 pre-cut 8x10 mats, 50 backing boards and 50 clear bags.
    • The 8x10 mat opening size is 4.5"x6.5" for 5x7 print. Color: Black
    • The mats are beveled cut with white core and 4-ply thick (about 1.4 mm or 1/16 inch). The backing is white on both side.
    • Please Unwrap the plastic wrap & Flip the first mat over to see the actual color mat.
    • The re-sealable adhesive strip of the clear bag is below the opening of the bag instead of on the flap.

    Fantastic product for artistsThis has to be one of the greatest ideas ever created. I was so used to buying mats one at a time and making my own backing board and buying the transparent bags to go over it for protection. This way everything comes all at one time, I am saving a lot of money, and this just is a complete win-win situation for all artists. Yes I do.......(see photo)....This booth of my Maui photography is full of Golden State Art mats: 4x6s, 8x10s, 11x14s, & 16x20s. For years now I've been purchasing their mat packages (mat/backs/bags) in these different sizes and have been totally happy with their quality and prices. I sell at the Maui Swap Meet on Saturdays and these mats give an additional beauty/completeness to my photography that my customers appreciate. Stop by if you're ever on Maui and see for yourself. The backer boards seem (to me) to be thicker than most backs (if provided) with store bought mats. The bags are crystal clear which makes me believe that they are Mylar/polyester.If these mats, backers and bags are not archival quality; they are pretty darn close.As a lifetime photo enthusiast now in retirement I have time to do justice to the many "special" prints laying dormant in boxes and albums. This is truly an exceptional deal for those who need a quantity of photo mats; or you could split this deal with family and friends.The mats, backers and bags come very well packaged from Golden State Art; via Amazon Prime they arrived in 2 days.5Professional look for a great price.I cant belive the value for the price on these. So many uses and cheep enough to use in a classroom setting or a steal for a professional pice of art.5very nice for packagingThe clear sleeves work very well to package or display any craft item. I make cards and use these to put the cards in at a craft show. I don't seal the bag in case the customer wants to "see the card in their hands." The sleeves are perfectly clear and durable. They do have an adhesive strip if you want to seal them. They are really worth the cost.5My choice for art prints.I tried these to matte my art prints and I have used nothing else since. Love the way they make my art look. 5DAMAGED GOODSThe mats are good the backing boards are good - but 2/3rds of my mats were scratched in the same place!I tried to contact the company before leaving a bad review through email, no response, and I tried to call the company, but the phone call did not go through both times. I did not want to return all the mats because I already used a few before seeing the damaged ones and I do not want to UNDO my framing!If I get a response from the company and can change my review I will.2Good Show KitThese are a really good value, the quality isn't anything special. It's the same lower end mat board you would get in any other inexpensive kit or at a local craft store (For much more there). I've bought at least 4 different mat packs from GSA at this point, it's good stuff.5Matte setsI wish it had said backing board would be black.. needed, wanted white.. the black that is same as the front matte, nothibg sticks to it. Very hard work work with.. I need these done by next week or I would send this back along with the other pack I got from other company did the same.. I looked it over carefully before placing the order and did not see black backing board listed.. updating my review.. yes these were what I was expecting.. outside package said differently.. thank you.
