    Glad I bought this before the rains started! It's large, it's fairly thick, and it's truly waterproof. Somewhat confused by the claim that it's 'ultra lightweight' but that's not such an important feature for me personally. This fits over a backpack of any size, which comes in handy. Chemical smell is to be expected, but it's not unbearable, and fades with time when allowed to dry. Head opening and hood could be a bit larger, and grommets would handy for camping and shelter applications, but still a solid five stars based on the quality to price ratio. Hope to see this in brighter colors in the future. I carry this in my day pack any time there is a chance of rain. 5Big and Heavy! The size is definitely extra large and the material is very heavy. This is not a summer showers type of rainwear. You will get warm under it. Sadly, you also may pass out from the fumes this thing packs. It smells like a chemical plant. Do not let it sit in the box and packaging until you need it. Open it up and air it out, preferably outside and away from plants and animals.After wearing it for a while outside, the smell does go away for the most part. 3People love this poncho No joke --I've gotten multiple complements on this poncho, even one from a complete stranger. It's a large poncho and made of a relatively thick material. It's absolutely better quality than those $7 ponchos you see all over the place. And the weight of this model means it doesn't flap so much in the wind or get easily snagged on stuff. (Of course it's a bit heavier than those cheap ponchos) 5Happy with quality but beware that larger size may not be needed if you're 2XL! This is very thick. The 2XL however is much larger than expected and would likely fit 4XL+ we were pleased with quality but need a smaller item. 5It worked great for me and my girlfriend at a football game This is MAN sized. I am 6'6' and this was big on me. It worked great for me and my girlfriend at a football game. 5Broken seams Upon opening the poncho I noticed there was a hole (pictured) in one of the seams by a button. Not a huge deal, but just be weary of the seams since it looks like they're done with some kind of heating element. Then after looking at the hood I noticed another seam that's holding the string in is also apart (pictured). This makes the hood string useless since pulling it would just separate the seam even more. Kind of irritating, but I can't return it because I need it in 2 days.Other than that the material seems to be strong and it fits very large which is what I'm looking for. If you're under 2XL maybe get something else smaller as this would be pretty massive.If this holds up over the weekend I will probably give it 3 stars, but for now I'm doing 2 since it came to me damaged. 2I put some self-sticking Velcro down the open sides of the poncho (the snap closed it a bit) and the poncho closed up nicely. Du Bought this because I'm tired of getting my pants and inside of my boots wet with short ponchos. I'm 5'7" tall(?) and not heavy, so I thought I'd try this poncho. Wow...is it big! I ordered these ponchos for the Eagles, Niners game because it was forecasted to rain and let me tell you that we sat in the rain for this game for 3 1/2 hours and was COMPLETELY DRY! I am 5'7 and it was nearly to the ground and my boyfriend is 6'1 and it was still long enough. Definitely worth the purchase. 5Got it for my bug out bag and it takes up more space than I would like folded up VERY large and a bit bulky when folded. Got it for my bug out bag and it takes up more space than I would like folded up. About 18in by 8in and 1in thick. I would look for something else smaller if it's for your BOB or hiking. It does help that it would cover your bag while wearing it, so it's still beneficial if you don't have a rain cover. Material is thick but not overly. It's not going to get random holes in it. It is a little heavy but I think that's mainly due to its size. It's normal and still reliable just be careful on the size. Check the measurements on the information section. 4It works but if the hood is up I can t put it down or vice-versa. I m 6 3 and about 200 lbs and this easily fit over several layers of clothing and a hoodie with the hood down. I was unable to get it to fit comfortable over my winter hooded coat because it didn t fit comfortably over the hood I felt like a hunchback. It kept me dry while using my snow thrower in about 10-inches of snow while it turned to rain and I was dry. There was some difficulty in movement but that s to be expected. My gripe with it is the neck opening that s way too small unless you re built like a stick figure. If I put it on with the hood up I couldn t put it down or if I did it the other way I couldn t pull it up. The neck opening is just so small and my neck is about 17-inches. With the hood up it s so snug that peripheral vision is all but gone and all I could see was what was right in front of me. I ll have to put a slit in the front and tape it up to make a small V-neck. Other than that it s a decent hunk of rainwear that comes down to my boot tops. 3
