    Great quality, significantly brighter than frosted lenses. These are much better quality than the plastic ring version with frosted glass. Installed 4 of these and it's as if I doubled the light bulb output. Heavy duty all metal ring. Skip the cheap plastic imitators. 5Great replacement part Located in my shower, my ceiling recessed light trim (metal) began to rust over time. I didn't want to have to replace the whole fixture so I searched the web for the trim only. Much to my surprise, I found the part I needed here. Although still made of metal (iron) and subject to rust once again, for $10 I'd be willing to replace it again in the future. If it was made of aluminum or rigid plastic, I'd give it five stars. 4Moving Glass Parts This product arrived in good condition and the material quality is very good. However, there is a design flaw. The glass part and the metal trim part are not glued together, and hence, they can not be sealed well to stop the shower steam. I would not be using this in a shower room. The shower steam may get into the recessed can. 3the trim is made of metal and the integrity of the design is sturdy and easy to install Size is accurate to online description. Covers entire perimeter, hiding the wide gap between the fixture and drywall that was the result of a sloppy cut when drywall was hung. The seal is tight which prohibits light from being visible between the ceiling and trim as well as preventing any moisture into the recessed can. I was concerned upon ordering when reading one review describing the material as less quality than expected; however, the trim is made of metal and the integrity of the design is sturdy and easy to install. The finished look is refined - better than I had anticipated. I returned two prior purchased trims to other companies bedore discovering this one. The price is right as well! I highly recommend this product. 5Very good quality Had a few of the 20 year old recessed trim rings crack so went searching at my local home supply stores for replacements. They had lots of 4" and 5" rings but only a couple 6" to choose from and they were all $15.00 or more each.Found these at Amazon at a good price so bought 6. They fit perfectly and look nicer than the 20 year old ones they replaced. 5Exactly what I needed I ordered two of these for my master bathroom. We've been having some trouble with mold so I needed something listed for wet locations, and this trim cover matched what we already had in the bathroom.The trim itself is metal, and the lens is glass. Since I put it into a REALLY old can fixture, I had to modify the metal hooks that hold it on, but that was simple as could be.Only thing I would say I didn't like is that there were no gaskets included. Luckily, I was able to reuse the gaskets from the existing fixtures. 4Solid Glass, Solid Metal, Extra Long Solid Clamps Solid Glass, Solid Metal, Extra Long Solid Clamps. I installed this easily over y shower replacing a cheap builders plastic frosted lens, that had cheap spring clamps. Don't bother with any others, This is top quality. Less than 3 minutes to install. 5Best price and function I could find I needed something to make my non air tite can lights, air tite. Theses were the most cost effective lens I could find. I'm very happy with the look and function of these lens. I did switch to CFL bulbs, the heat build up made me nervous. It's probably a nonissue, but made me uncomfortable. CFL s are nice and cool. I would reccomend this product to friends and family. 5Nice upgrade I ordered this to replace the cheap builder grade plastic and frosted (dingy looking) glass trim. I'm not sure what other reviewers were talking about, mine came with a painted metal ring - no plastic to be seen.This installed easily and immediately made the shower area look more polished and upscale. 5Great product for LED Spotlights-NO MORE!!!!!!!!! OLD POST FROM 10/8/2013 These look great and are exactly what I needed and at a great price. The frosted ones I tried from a big box store absorbed too much of the LED spotlight making the shower rather dim. These are clear and the LEDs really light up my shower and bathroom.UPDATE 2/19/2013: THESE ARE DIFFERENT!!! Disappointingly these now have cheap plastic trim rings -not metal as they are currently advertised and as I previously purchased - see above. My concern is that will the slight heat from the LED spots cause the plastic to deteriorate and yellow over time? Furthermore, I would definitely be hesitant to use with older and much hotter technology like 60-90 watt spots and/or where it can be exposed to weather/sun. This is fraudulent advertising, hence the downgrade from 5 stars to 2 stars.Even 2 may be generous if these do not hold up! 2
