Customer Reviews

You get what you pay for After looking at pages and pages of oil rubbed bronze bathroom accessories, I decided on this set. Mostly for the price, to be honest, because sometimes that works out. And then there are times it doesn't. This set looks nice enough on the wall and matches the finish of our higher quality fixtures, but corners were clearly cut to save money on quality. The toilet paper holder doesn't have a good spring in it (or perhaps no spring at all), so every time I change the roll, it's a hassle. I basically have to put the roll on the bar, then put it in place, and pull the bar apart from itself to fit back into its holder the right way. Annoying. I'm still giving 3 stars because, sure, they are "okay" (as the Amazon star scale indicates is right for 3 stars) and do look nice from afar. Now to find an everlasting roll of toilet paper... 3Cheap and looks great Sure you could go out and buy the Delta set that looks almost exactly like these, but that would cost you around $100. I bought these for a little face lift I gave to the kids bath in our new place. They were easy to install and look great. They're pretty light, but its not like I need to do pull-ups on the towel rack. Its been about 6 months now and everything is holding up fine.Even if I had to replace in a few years, still well worth the price. 5Nice and inexpensive product They were what I expected.. The assembly was not bad at all. Yes the product does feel cheap but it does not look cheap. I see multiple comments about it looking cheap but you did only pay $14 for it, so you get what you paid for. I put these in my rental property and it looks nice with the other oil bronze Fixtures. 5They look really nice in the apartment and match the bronze faucets that ... Have bought two of these. They look really nice in the apartment and match the bronze faucets that I bought from Lowes and Home Depot. The locking mechanism is a little bit of a pain to attach...yet it's worth the effort. 4Great product for the price Product as described, easy to install. I just said, "Honey, could you install these?" And that's all it took. :) Seriously, though. Great product for the price. 5Brackets are cheap but looks good Keep in mind that there is a reason these are so much cheaper than going to a box store. They look great but the brackets they come with are not the best. I think if you had someone pull too hard on the towel rack, the set screw would slide off the bracket. 4Installing Will Test Your Patience While installing this product I felt like providing this product one star. I finished installing three kits, and now I'm more willing to provide the product with three stars. Needless the say, installing the brackets tested my patience. Those set screws are a pain. This product would be so better without if the set screws could be tighten with a screw driver instead of the supplied allen wrench. By the way, each bracket comes equipped with its own allen wrench. So there are five for each kit. One of the kits was missing a bracket, and another was missing a set screw. I didn't need a third toilet paper rack, so I pilfered it to replace the missing parts. 3Not worth the hassle First and foremost, this is a decent looking set for the price. This may be enough for some to purchase. But for the installation hassle, I would spend the extra $10-$20 elsewhere. First off, the packaging was strange. I'm guessing that is one of the reasons they can sell cheaper. The items came in a shipping box wrapped in bubble wrap with the mounting hardware. I've installed a handful of these sets and they usually come either in a retail box or packaging. No such thing here. Nothing really wrong with this, but not something I've seen. But lets get to the real issues. The mounting hardware for this set is just horrid. As I mentioned, I have installed several sets of these. All the mounting hardware brackets Ive installed had a single hole in the middle. It makes sense as it centers the bracket and honestly, its all it needs. These brackets are smaller than Ive seen and have 2 holes. If you do not fasten both holes the bracket will have a tendency to move one way or the other. Which brings me to the HUGE issue with these. I reused one hole from the old bracket I removed which already had a sheetrock anchor. Then put another screw through the top. I didn't put another sheetrock anchor in top hole because the brackets are so small that you would have 2 anchors on top of each other very close together. Doesn't make sense. When I went to mount the hardware onto the brackets the set screw kept missing the bracket and just pushes it away from the wall. This happened on both sides of the towel bar. I ended up making small wedges from plastic I had laying around to kick the bottom of the bracket out a bit for the set screw to go behind the bracket. It was the only way i could get the bracket secure to the wall and to get the hardware secure to the bracket. I attached a pic for reference. I did not have this issue with the hand towel piece but when I went to install the toilet paper roll holder same thing happened on one side there as well! Its just a horrible design and I've never encountered this in my life. The icing on the cake is that one piece has an imperfection. I attached a pic of it as well. It has a flat spot on the curved bracket and the bronze isn't smooth like the rest. Of course it is on the top too and the light catches the flat spot perfectly. The towel bar and the toilet paper brackets are identical. So I chose to put on the toilet paper side. Only way I could have hidden the flat spot would be to flip it upside down but then you'd see the set screw. One last note. This set is much closer to black than bronze. I installed another set in my master bath that is much more bronze. I regret just not buying that same set for the spare bath. I could have sent this back but I was already invested with everything torn apart. The towel bar itself is most definitely black if you look at the pic. I give this 2 stars because it is a value with a decent look. I should have spent the extra $10 for the same set I bought for the master. live and learn. 2For the price you receive a great product! All of the items are extremely sturdy ... Just got around to installing this set in my remodeled bathroom. For the price you receive a great product! All of the items are extremely sturdy while attached to the wall. Installation is also VERY simple. USE THE TEMPLATE and everything is a breeze. 5Nice set for the money This set is a decent set for the price, however it looses stars because of how difficult we found it to install. The base piece first gets mounted to the wall and it went up pretty easily. There are handy templates included for the towel bar and toilet paper holder. However, when you go to put the cap portion up the set screw that you need to use an allen wrench (included) to tighten is a large challenge to keep the wrench in the set screw and to get it tightened. It is such as small screw opening and you can't see what you're doing very well, it took a very long time to do. Other than that it is a nice set. It is not a premium set but it is not a cheap set either. It has the look of a premium set without the cost. But the metal bar is thinner than some of the more premium sets that I have seen. And the Piece that Holds the toilet paper is a black plastic with spring set. Overall it is a good set for the money.PROS - Low cost, complete set, nice lookCONS - Difficult install, Plastic Toilet Paper Holder bar 3
