    THIS DOES NOT WORK.I bought excited to work with my Nikon D5100, but does not work, the camera shutter release activates the LED indicators, but the flash does not fire, not if it was they sent me a defective or simply not compatble with the camera, something I find strange because I tested with other systems cheaper and work, from my experience I do not recommend the purchase, lost time and money. 1Can only rate what I've used so far. *UPDATE*Since nobody else has reviewed these, I figured I would throw in my opinion.I'm not a professional photographer, in that I don't make my income from my photography exclusively, however I do occasionally make money this way. I like to have all the gear I need for any kind of shoot that might come up, but I can't really justify the prices for all the pro gear.I wanted some studio strobes so I bought a 3-strobe Neewer lighting set from Amazon. For the money I paid, I love the kit, and it even came with a wireless flash trigger. Unfortunately, it was pretty crap. The transmitter came with a dead battery. No worries, I just bought another. I use it for one shoot, and the next time I use it... dead battery. The problem is that the transmitter has no on/off switch and there is no quick way to remove the battery cos it's held together by a screw. I don't even care really, because the set is so cheap, and I already feel like I got my money's worth 2 times over. But for that one shoot, the wireless trigger was super convenient, so I was suddenly on the market for a better trigger.So that is what brings me here. I was looking for something to replace the most basic of triggers. This set was on sale (Under $20) at the time, and seems to have everything I need and more.All I can say is that it does everything I've used it for perfectly up to this point. I have only used it as a basic flash trigger and it works great for that. It also has an on/off switch for both transmitter and receiver, so the battery has held a charge between multiple shoots. I can also say that the devices themselves feel well built, and professional to look at.Wish I could review the TTL pass-through or the camera shutter release, but I just have not used it for that. I don't have a TTL flash, and my camera only had infrared shutter release (D70). I'm not going to knock points off because I haven't checked those features out, I can only review what I've used, and it deserves nothing less than 5 stars for that. I'll update my review if I find something I don't like about it.*UPDATE*Changed my rating to 1 star because it just stopped working. No flash fires at all. Tried new batteries, but nothing. The LED lights up on the receiver, but the flash doesn't fire (from either hot shoe or sync socket). I'm getting a replacement and will update the review once I confirm that this was just a fluke. 1Two StarsBatteries never last long and goes out of sync often 2was ok!was ok! 3
