    The big dish... This dish is huge. Most of the beauty dishes you see people using on YouTube and such are about 22". This is a 28" dish. It won't seem like it when looking at it online, but this dish is dramatically bigger.The grid that comes with it doesn't seem like it's built to last, however. 5This is perhaps the best light modifier I've ever bought 5 Stars signifies perfection in my book. This is perhaps the best light modifier I've ever bought. That light, amazing if used properly. Enormous like another reviewer mentioned. Tried looking for a bag for this to no avail. So keep that in mind. Definitely not meant to be hauled around, you could but you know. Now for the missing star. Honeycomb grid bends to easily, perhaps a weakness of such a big grid? Regardless, 5 stars means a perfect item. i'm reviewing this as a whole with the grid. The dish by itself is 5 stars. 4Studio photographer likes the Pro Beauty dish 28" with Honeycomb. I really like this beauty dish with honeycomb. Good construction. Works perfectly. I am very happy with the product. I ordered one prior and was missing a part, Customer Service replaced part immediately.. SO Great Customer service.. 5Images came out great. Does the job, but very poorly built, bends under its own wight :) Literary! However, it survived the 3-day shoot I had it purchased for. Images came out great. 3Versatile light Absolutely love this light. Takes you from soft light to Hollywood hot light in less than 10 seconds! Eliminates the need for clunky softboxes for portraits and provides the kind of hotlight look you get from old tweenies. Worth the extra shipping costs! Fotodiox Pro Beauty Dish 28" (70cm), for Elinchrom Monolights, Prolinca Monolights, BXRi Style, D-lite Series, Ranger Series and EL Series Strobe Flash Light, Beautydish 5Pretty Good This is a good light modifier, although it has a few flaws. I like it for use in the studio for portraits, and the grid is very useful to cut down on light spill. On the down side, mine came with a flat section on the edge, which mean that the grid didn't fit well. It was hard to attach, and it would pop off unexpectedly. Another dish was sent out, but it had exactly the same flaw. I returned one of them and did my best to bend the rim of the other one in the right direction. That worked well enough that it's easy to attach the grid, but it's not completely secure. I would never put the reflector above someone with the grid without A-clamping the grid in place. I do that in any case as the grid could get damaged if it falls. In addition, the screws that hold the middle plate stick out the back, which interferes with proper seating of the speed ring. None of this is a deal-killer, though. It's a good-sized modifier for a great price. 4
