Reasonable price.This is a great way to turn the "spotlight" output of a speedlight into a wide, soft flood light -- or to turn a speedlight into a mini-softbox. Useful for: softening on-camera flash pictures, product photography, and inexpensive portrait lighting (when close to the subject).Just keep in mind that speedlights are designed to focus all their light into a rectangular beam that matches the field of view of a lens, which maximizes the brightness of light on the subject, whereas this disperses the light over a very wide area. Therefore the light hitting any part of the scene will be dimmer by a couple of stops, and any light that isn't in the field of view of the lens (or bounced back into it) is effectively wasted.5Five StarsGood value, does what it's advertised to do.5Double Duty Gray Scale and ModifierI saw a Youtube vid on this item being used as a speed light modifier on or off camera. They gave this clone a thumbs up for being 1/3 the price of the name brand. I noticed that the back side had a gray scale as well. While I rarely use on camera flash anymore, mostly off camera flash. I thought it would be handy to carry in my camera bag with my speed light just in case. It's smal, light weightl and compact, and doesn't take upon much room. The build quality is very good, it pops open easily. I've been primarily using it as a gray scale for post editing in Light Room for skin tones. Very nice bit of kit for the price.5Works great and fit wellWorks well, fits my godox speedlights and stays upright when unfolded. It's easy to fold and carry around.5Works great, not the best looking tho!!I like that it folds into a small pouch about 4 inches in diameter. I bought it as a grey card meter for setting white balance and it works well for that. Interestingly it also works as a flash defuser. An elastic strap fits tightly over your flash inside the defuser, which has a white side on the back. It isn t Deseret at all, kinda silly looking on a camera mounted flash, but wouldn t be to odd on a remote flash. Dispite that however, it works very well.4Great value and excellent qualityVery high quality product. I really like the soft touch grey paint on the back.
