Not SecureThis wrist strap is very nice aesthetically, but as for practicality, not so much. If you're just looking for a cute accessory, this is for you, but definitely don't count on it. I accidentally dropped my camera; should be fine, right? I have a wrist strap on! But no, the thin cord that connects the camera to the strap snapped like a thread, sending my poor camera crashing into the hardwood floor. I am only giving this 2 stars because it does look really nice, but the functionality (aka protection from crashing onto the ground) is a zero. 2Great Alternative to the Neck StrapBought this product originally to use during my travel and was impressed at how usable it was. I was traveling and doing a lot of physical activity (walking, hiking, etc.) and I did not want the neck strap to be the method of me holding my camera. While most would agree that holding this type of strap is a lot more of a task, I found it not to be cumbersome at all. Would recommend if you want the safety of having a strap on your camera, but want the functionality of being able to be free and unrestricted. 5Cheap insurance against dropiing your cameraThis is one of the greatest inventions for replacing the camera neck strap. I have always hated the neck straps and have tossed them. Will keep the largest SLR (I have one) with 400 mm telephoto from falling to the ground should you loose your grip. I have a cast iron grip and have never dropped the camera. I bought some for gifts and they were very well appreciated. So much appreciation for so little money. 5Not as picturedMine arrived with one end unbraided but that s not my complaint. I m sure I could get a replacement that was not defective. What disappointed me was that the ends of the actual cord were melted so as not to fray, but these melted ends with a white center were on outside of the strap, clearly showing when in use rather than on the inside where they would be invisible when worn. None of the photos show this as they were all clearly staged to hide this. Because of this I would not recommend this wrist strap. 2A really nice camera strapI really like this camera wrist strap! I used it while snorkeling recently with an Olympus TG-1. For certain, the paracord is not going break, is waterproof and has no metal or sharp pieces in place to scratch the camera. The adjustment ball allows the strap to be securely cinched into place on one's wrist. No worries about the strap loosening and allowing the strap to release from the wrist, no matter how much one flails about in the water. Because of the braiding, the stap is also very comfortable to wear...I really did not even notice it in the water. And no, I was not given this product free, nor do I know anyone in the company. Thank you for such a nice and reasonably priced product 5Cool idea - poor constructionI bough this FoRapid paracord wrist strap based on the reviews, but unfortunately I can't tell you how it works, since mine arrived with the paracord ends already starting to unravel. There's nothing at the ends holding them together or keeping them from unravelling - it looks as if they were just tucked in after the ends were heat sealed. It's disappointing, but I guess you get what you pay for. There's no way I would trust any device of value, let alone my camera, with this junk. 1PERFECT for Canon 80D w/battery gripThis wrist strap is PERFECT looped onto the Canon double-battery grip attachment. I now flip effortlessly from horiz to vert framing with no clumsy camera strap in the way of my dual controls. But I'm still mystified by the bright orange FoRapid elastic band that came like a loose add-on item in the package. Been using it as a manual focus ring grip on a Canon zoom lens (see pix). Anybody know what its real intended use is? 5Happily using and sturdy enoughI just can't use a neck strap.... I've tried. Years with my DSLR and usually a long lens have had me using just about everything as an insurance policy so I don't drop it. I saw this and I am happy to replace the flash drive strap (LOL) that I have been using with this. FYI -- I requested black and was told there is no ability to choose - I did not get the black but was happy with the red/black that was sent. My only complaint is that after a few weeks of use, the release does not slide well, so you almost have to loosen it with your other hand to get it off. They looked nice but just didn't hold up.Looking for an affordable and durable replacement I went with this strap.I'm actually super surprised at how much I like it. (My wife told me to write this review because I wouldn't shut up about it) It looks nicer on my camera than I expected. It feels reassuring and solid on my wrist. It's nylon so it dries out quick and it's pretty easy to install or remove if I want to use my neck strap in stead.550lb Paracord is a little Overkill for a two pound camera. I hope I never have to test it.The only thing that bothers me is a slug in the braiding where it attaches to the strap ring. (Last image) If not for that it would be pretty close to perfect. 4
