    Excellent, easy integration into HomeSeer ADIO-100 Works. I have this integrated into my HomeSeer system via HomeSeer ADIO-100 Analog / Digital System Interface using the 'normally open' wires of the BRK-RM4 (connected to the digital I/O side of the ADIO). A tight fit into the ceiling 'box' of my First Alert smoke detectors, but not a big deal. The "test button" of my smoke detector also triggers the same connection, so I was able to easily verify proper signaling and resulting alerts inside of HomeSeer to my phone (using the excellent PushOver plugin). 5... well with my First Alert detectors (which look exactly like the BRK model) This worked well with my First Alert detectors (which look exactly like the BRK model). My house has 2 smoke detectors and 2 combination smoke and CO detectors powered and interconnected. The relay operates when either smoke or CO is detected on any detector so it does not discriminate between the two types of alarms. I just wired the common and NC contact wires to a door/window sensor for my alarm system and now I can get alerts when smoke or CO is detected. 5but its better than nothing I used this to allow me to wire my conventional First Alert Fire alarms into a fire zone on my VISTA20P alarm panel. Now instead of having one smoke detector integrated (special 4-wire security panel smoke detector), I have all 6. The relay installed at one smoke detector and using the 3rd orange wire to connect all the others. Used the NC contacts to connect to alarm panelThis does require AC-power for this to work as the relay needs to be connected to the 120V power lines. So loss of AC-power will prevent smoke alarm activation from reaching the alarm panel. It is a short coming, but its better than nothing. 5Added my old smoke detectors to Smartthings Easily installed on my wired First Alert smoke detectors in order to allow me to add them to Samsung Smartthings via a GoControl door switch with a custom device handler. Very pleased! 5Works perfect for Smoke/CO detector - tight fit in standard box I bought this to integrate my smoke detectors into my home automation system. I paired it with a Schlage RS100HC V N N SL Home Door and Window Sensor with Nexia Home Intelligence (Z-Wave). Using the Normally Closed contacts on the RM4 (they open when alarming) I was able to integrate it properly.I now have a scene in vera that generates a phone call when the alarm sounds (or is tested).Be aware that this is NOT a good integration with a fire alarm panel as it REQUIRES 110v to be present to operate. If your power is out (and the detector is operating on batteries) then it will NOT trigger the alarm.The only real struggle I had was with its size. It's bigger than I expected. Getting your 110v wires, the RM4 and the zwave sensor in a standard ceiling box was quite the challenge. I had to shorten the wires and really work hard to get it to fit.If you're more interested in this sort of thing, go to micasaverde forum (just google those two words) and look under the security section. I have a full writeup there. 4Allowed me to connect hardwired detectors to my Z-wave system. I coupled this with a Z-wave door/window sensor and now, when smoke is detected, I get alerts to my phone. This really works great and has been nice and stable since I installed it several months ago. 5Perfect for alarm interfacing This is extremely useful for interfacing regular home AC-powered smoke detectors with an alarm panel. I used it to add a fire zone to my Interlogix NX-8E, in addition to other regular 2- and 4-wire smoke detectors I have.This will not work in the absence of AC-power, however, it's better than nothing and allows me to monitor the conventional smoke detectors as a zone in case something catches fire while I'm gone. 4Great solution for linking smokes to other devices I use this to connect my home alarm system to the smokes. This allows the alarm to turn on lights when there is a fire and remotely alert. The only thing I wish it did differently is to distinguish between smoke and CO alarms. It alerts on both and you can't tell which one it is. 5Worked well to connect to SmartThings It was easy to connect and worked as designed. I used it to connect my interconnected BRK/First Alert smoke and CO detectors to SmartThings, with one end connected to the smoke/co detectors, and the other connected to the Z-Wave Door and Window Sensor with Nexia RS100. I then added a custom device type in SmartThings to make the contact sensor show up as a smoke/co detector. It fit well inside the gang box with the contact sensor. 5Works as advertised. Easy to install. Works as advertised. Unused it for my konected alarm system. No more monitoring fees from ADT. 5
