They interconnect & provide alert messaging on all 3 units, stating the location of the unit sending the alert. 5Professional Looking The items arrived on-time and mounted easily. Time will tell how well they perform. 5Fast ship Love it and the company that makes it. 5So far, so good. This CO monitor replaced an aging OneLink smoke/CO combo unit. Placed in a hall unwittingly close to a bathroom, the old unit was prone to steam-induced false alarms. Obviously, a CO alarm isn't. Existing smoke detectors in adjoining bedrooms pick up the slack in detection. The new unit connected properly to the other OneLink units in the house, so I'm happy. I hope I never get the true positive detection warning that would merit a 5 star rating.Having used OneLink units for about 7 years (and now starting on my second generation of them), yes, I do recommend them. I would caution users to keep the smoke alarms clean by vacuuming them out, because they can give false detections otherwise. And with a house full of beeping alarms, all chattering slightly out of sync, false alarms are especially annoying. However, with 7 alarms spread across 4 levels, from basement to attic, OneLink w/ Voice is really the only option. 4First Alert CO511B Wireless Interconnect carbon monoxide detectors work just fine.. I thought linking the two alarms would be a challenge but it proved to be relatively simple. Setting the location the alarm was even easier.I do have but two minor complaints about the product, a) the ready light only blinks dimly once every minute instead of being on constantly. If you don't want to use the test button you have to stand and wait. b) Since I live in a smallish 3 story home the warning alarm with location voice alert is VERY loud ,which is probably not a bad thing, but when first tested it scared the neighbors also.I have two and within my small house they are adequate to alert the entire house. Did I mention LOUD 5Simple Installation, Good Looking and Easy Testing. Simple Installation, and easy to link with others. Given that so far, I have had no CO in my home, I have to rely on the test button, but when tested, all linked units went through their system test. Nice looking, too. 5Received old alarms, had to return Ordered 3 detectors, but unfortunately I had to return them before I could install them. The units I received were manufactured over a year ago; the life expectancy on CO detectors is 7 years, so I would have already lost one full year of usable life on them. 3Happy with purchase. Bought it to compliment the smoke detectors I bought also. The product works great... 5Great Great 5Five Stars Looks great, easy to install. Very pleased with my purchase. 5
