Exactly what my old iPad needed to spruce it up, and protect it. For a very reasonable price, I bought this to replace a rather beat up case for my iPad. It arrived yesterday, and so far, I'm loving everything about it. The color is gorgeous, and it fits perfectly. Stands nicely as well. Since I'll be using my iPad more than usual, to take photos in conjunction with my Camranger CamRanger Wireless Nikon & Canon Camera Controller for iPad, iPhone, Mac, Android or PC includes a Tether Tools' Mighty Mount, I needed something that will hopefully stand up to the rigors of travel, and that will stand up while I play with my camera settings on the iPad.Only gave it a brief test, but it appears to be something that's perfect for my needs. As for the reviews here that said the case fell apart after a brief time, I'll update this review if that proves to be the case. For now though, it's exactly what I was wanting/needing. I'm really liking the magnetic closure, as my old case did not have that feature, and also loving having a place to put my stylus, which I tend to lose frequently and need to have available for photographic release forms.Have a big trip coming up soon, so this thing will really be given a good test. For now though, I'd say for the price, it can't be beat!!! 5Faulty product from Canada According to ad You can easily fold cover into different positions to create a stand for reading, viewing or typing. This product did not hold position to create a stand, missing the piece that should have held the cover in place to read. After realizing this I tried to return this and found out it was from Canada which I was told to leave the line at the post office to fill out the customs form. My time wasted to return this was not worth the return. This product was faulty and a PAIN to return due to being out of the US. 1Van Gogh image, but where's the artist's name? I didn't realize until I received this iPad cover, but the design on the front is a detail from Vincent Van Gogh's Almond Blossoms painting. Since Van Gogh is not credited, I can only assume that permission to use the image was not obtained. It's possible that I just didn't read closely enough, but if you're going to use an artist's work you should properly credit them up front and not hide it in the fine print. I plan to return this cover, as I don't wanted to own pirated work. 2Attrative, durable, wish there was an elastic strap This case is great and functional. It's hard to find a case for an iPad 1 nowadays. I am happy with the deep purple color I received. It's attractive and the leather is durable. I do wish there was an elastic strap to pull over the front cover when the case is closed. I did know that it didn't have one...but I thought it would be fine. It IS fine...I just miss it!I recommend this product. 4Works good. This iPad case cover is really nice. The case cover fit my first generation iPad perfectly. The only issue is that the cover case could not stand up like shown in the picture. I bought the emerald one and blue and green circle shapes are designed well. I think this case cover was a good purchase. I feel like this case is going to last me a long time. I was surprised that amazon still carries first generation accessories. You would not be able to find iPad one accessories in a store. They are just too hard to find. I originally gave it a score of 3 because the auto-shut off function did not work.I realized later that my iPad is not generation 1, therefore this case doesn't fit very well and that is probably why the auto shut off did not work. I am returning the case and changing my score to 5.I suspect that some of the negative reviews that this product received might be due to the same mistake. I love how it can be configured to sit up so the iPad is on its side or end. Good for laying back and viewing. Good quality. I have the black one and it looks stylish. It fits the iPad dead on! 53 stars Front is well protected, the magnet keeps the cover secure. The stand piece doesn t hold well if I m reclined with the iPad on my lap. This case would be closer to 5 stars if there was also a magnet on the back to keep the cover from folding when I want to view the tablet straight on rather than angled with the stand flap. 3Beautiful color, sturdy, fits perfectly.
