    Consistantly good I've been buying these through the years. They're a great value and I always come back to these for most fine-but-non-critical work. The crystals do chip/break with use, making them finer as they wear. Normal for this type of diamond hone and also cheaper than the other crystal shapes (which cost far more). Excellent value, just bought probably my 5th or 6th set in the past 10 years. I use these a lot with my woodworking tools. 5excellent little sharpeners I have used these little gems before and they are great. In fact I've had a couple of the fine and one of the course, but lost them somewhere. I tried to find them in stores but to no avail and hadforgotten the Mfg's name. A coworker had one and brought it to work. I immediatly went to Amazon and ordered them sat. and got them today. I found them easy to carry in my hip pocket, with ready access especially when working with sheetrock. Your utility knke would get dull and begin tearing the paper. I would reach back, grab the fine grade sharpener, give each side of the blade a few strokes and be back in buisness. Extremly handy. Well woth the money. 5Excellent cutting and polishing. The plastic backing is comfortable in the hand and is stiff, so you can maintain flat consistent shaping ... the diamond materials cuts and polishes hardened steel nicely. The diamond wears away quickly when doing medium to large jobs. 4They'll last a lifetime if you don't press down hard on the diamond surface I bought a set of these years ago and loved them. But I didn't know how to properly care for them. I pressed down so hard that I eventually removed all of the diamonds. I was too anxious to get the job done quickly, bore down hard and in the process I have ruined many hundreds of dollars of diamond sharpeners like my DMT plates.I have since learned to use the lightest amount of pressure when sharpening not only to preserve the diamond surface but to obtain finer surfaces.Light pressure also applies to sanding with ordinary sandpaper. If you're using a sander (whether an electrical tool or by hand) don't press down hard.People in other reviews complain that the diamonds on various sharpeners didn't last long. I'm guessing that they're making the same rookie mistake that I did.USE FEATHER LIGHT PRESSURE WITH ALL SHARPENING SURFACES 5Works great for resharpening carbide cutters saving lots of money. Use it to resharpen lathe carbide cutters, in less than two minutes you can resharpen the cutter, by rubbing it to the four different grits, just laying it flat, saving lots of money, I'd also recommend the xyron 2x2 adhesive eraser to clean the sharpeners should they get clogged. 5Great product!! I was a little skeptical about these having such a thin sanding surface. But they have great reviews and recommended by many! Definitely worth the money and are a great product! I filed on a coated steel surface for about an hour using a fine grain file with not much progress. Within minutes I was much farther along with these and they hold up great! 5Great set Love this set, shapes about anything 5Good files for price Excellent files for the price. I like having four different grits to choose from. Sharpened a few table saw blades with them and it did a good job. Clean sharp points. Would've given a five star, but haven't owned them long enough to see how they hold up under usage. 4great tool for sharpening A lot different than whetstones and regular files. Still learning what grit to use for different tools and how dull they are and the use of a shorter stroke. Using lighter pressure seems to work better than heavy pressure. 5They just work Great set to sharpen things in a jiffy this is my second set 5
