It can be installed indoor or outdoor as it is made of durable weatherproof metal.

Good camera, but hard to installWhile I love the price and the resolution, this camera is very difficult to install, because getting it back onto the base after you have installed the base is a challenge and a half. 3Compact, good angleGood wide angle lense. Occasionally get some interference (horizontal lines), which I don't believe is related to the wiring, because if I unplug the connections (at the camera end) and tighten them back down, it returns to normal. The connectors are a bit loose, so when installing, especially if in a recessed or concealed area, be sure to tighten them down and tape them up well with electrical tape to hold everything in place.The night view could be a bit clearer, daytime viewing is a bit washed out. I doubt the 800tvl rating, it looks more like 600 in my opinion, but is still a decent picture for most basic uses. 3Great Camera, Great Price!This camera is the Best model that Evertech, in this line has offered. Very high resolution, high quality picture for both Day and Night landscapes. True ICR mechanical filter adjustment for IR Night Vision. A 3.6mm Standard Wide angle lens makes for a good wide shot. Works great fully exposed to rain or under the overhang of the house. Compact neat design and look. **All of these "Ball" Dome cameras have their awkwardness when it comes to adjustment of angle. Once you get use to how to adjust the camera in place and tighten the ring, it's not that bad especially if you have a lot of these type cameras.No Toggler/OSM with this model. This is a true SD NTSC model camera for those who still require Non-Hybrid cameras in your system.**Understand that all CCTV cameras are mass produced in China and there is a good chance of getting a lemon. If you do not get a great Day & NIght picture from this camera, you got a lemon and it happens. Just email seller and get a replacement** 5Not what they were in the pastCameras worked just OK night vision is poor, and if you live where the temperature gets below 30F they stop working (go black). They are for outdoor use but only in a warm climate, the Evertech cameras that I bought a few years ago worked at -15F. The reason I bought Evertech was because of the good luck with their cameras in the past, looks like they make them cheaper now. But there are 2 important things to know before buying . 1) This products description is false and misleading : The Amazon product description states that included is a power supply ... it does not ! So you now need to buy this separately in order to even use it . 2) although the picture quality is good ... 2 things are for sure . There is no way this camera has 800 tvl . Perhaps 600 is more like it . Second : Day time picture is good / night vision is not too good . Final analysis is for $30.00 this camera is a deal ... but if you want to use this in a low light area , maybe keep looking . 3I could not disaseemble the frame from mounting assembly.........The camera frame and all appeared very high quality but of the three I purchased I could not get it disassembled in order to mount. I was very disappointed and returned them. Maybe a professional could pull it off but I was afraid of damaging. 2Cheap is cheap. Get what you pay for:(Very disappointed. Couldn't get mounting bracket off camera to install. Actually I was just going to take it off and use my old mounting bracket as this was a replacement for an old camera. But the new mounting bracket wouldn't and I mean no way would it unscrew. Finally got it off and something was rattling in camera now. Don't like the wide angle lens either. Seems I get 1/2 the picture I got before with my old 3.6 fixed lens. I think I'll have to pay more for a better camera. The night vision on these cameras isn't just bad.....it's nonexistent! Contacted manufacturer, and their solution was to mail it back to them so they can "test" it, when it's obvious to anyone who takes the time to read these reviews (wish I did prior to purchase) that it has been an ongoing problem for quite some time now! Then was asked by customer service rep (and I use that term loosely) "what do you expect at that price"........I'm done! 1Updated review: Great daytime camera, Unusable night vision I originally gave this camera 1 star because of faulty night vision. Evertech sent me a replacement camera because of the review.The replacement camera has great vibrant colors during the day and excellent night vision. See movie for example of day and night.I am giving this camera 5 stars for quality of video and the heavy duty construction of the camera. I also give Evertech's tech. support 5 stars.update 11/12/2014I have received 3 of these cameras. 2 from Amazon and 1 directly from Evertech. Both cameras I have received from Amazon have faulty night vision. The one camera I received from Evertech (tech support checked the camera before shipping to me) worked great day and night. I have uploaded a new video showing the night vision from the 3 different cameras. I am again giving this camera One Star because Evertech must have a quality control problem or design flaw with this camera. 1
