A good product with faulty velcroI would give this review 5 stars if the velcro was better. After having the bag for a few months, the velcro has begun to wear down. It wouldn't be a huge issue, but when you pick up the bag buy the handle, it pulls up on the flap, thus ripping the flap from the velcro. I really do love everything else about this bag. The quality of the material is good, I love the zippers, and the amount of compartments it has. If you're going to want to use this bag for years, I recommend buying some spare velcro.If you were hesitant on buying this because of the velcro closure, I recommend you buy a different bag.3FlimsyZipper broke and the straps did too. My wife only used it for about 1 month for school. You d think that the width of this bag would allow you to carry a laptop, but it seemed too heavy for it. Maybe if you carry a few papers and a stick of gum it will work for you.13 month romanceMy teenage daughter saw this and asked if I would get it for her to use at school. Barely 3 months of use and the strap frayed at one end and broke. She is my gentle child and her stuff usually lasts longer than average. For the price I expected this bag to last much longer. Unfortunately, the bag I bought him only came in one size and doesn't close with the laptop in it. This bag was my solution, and I am sure glad I bought it. It fits his 15 inch screen (diagonally) with about an inch to spare on the side. He loves all the pockets. It makes transporting his wire/mouse a lot easier, and there's still room to carry his notebooks and papers. He can even fit his laptop inside with a laptop case on. He likes that the bag is more malleable so it's easier to fit everything inside, and the material is thick and high quality. It looks great, and matches all of his outfits well. He uses it both with casual wear and professional wear.5Fast shipping, high qualityVery sturdy, quality bag. We purchased this for our son who worked hard at his piano practice for nearly three years and was going to enter into his first serious competition against kids several years older. It was quite an accomplishment on his part. We thought he should have a "serious" bag for being such a "serious" student. We needed a bag that would carry all of his books, as his teacher selects a wide variety of music for him, and his collection has gotten quite heavy. This bag is perfect. It's long enough that his books all fit neatly inside, but it's sturdy enough to protect them well and not break under the weight. It's beautifully made with lots of pockets for his notecards, pencils, notebook, etc. I can see this bag lasting many years.***Note*** I am giving this product 5 stars even though we had to return the first bag. The first bag came with a broken zipper. Amazon accepted a return no problem and shipped us a new bag even before we had the broken bag picked up. Good Quality - seems like it will lastJust wanted to update: This bag has held up extremely well. While the leatherette did fray some, it did not fail. The material resists staining pretty well, and the zippers last longer than I expected. I did have one fail - but on me. I got the material inside the bag caught in main zipper. That said,other than the strap - which I'd prefer could swivel, great bag.So got this in the mail on time, material seems very good. I am tough on bags - I carry my breakfast and lunch in glass containers, as well as oversize coffee mug, workout clothes and general work stuff, so some days it can get very heavy. that said, following are my initial thoughts and I'll update in a few months.What I like:Material good qualityoverall layout of bag,VERY roomy insidePockets are abundant -front flap has full width/depth pocket as well as small vertical oneShoulder strap is good qualityLatches on flapSeparator in main compartment for computer folds up flat against outside wall, so does not get in the way if need to put something larger into main compartment.What I don't like:Strap is not removable nor does it have swivels so seems to tangle quicklyFront flap - bottom third is hard - a bit annoying to meLatches under hard part of flap - can be a bit difficult to undo if wearing it or not sitting in front of youNot sure about:While cover material seems good quality - stitching seems a bit undersized for size of bagStrap is double stitched on - although they could have extended it another inch so that the bottom of the leatherette going around top would also catch it.Leatherette longevity - I do not have high hopes for this - but we'll see.Overall, however, I am pleased with the bag for the first 2 days of use - will update in a few months4It holds my computer and gearThe bag holds the gear I need for collage. It's made of heavy canvas and the straps are wide enough to be comfortable. The padded cover on the strap keeps it from digging into shoulder when the bag is loaded. All the seams and zippers are secure and slide well. There aren't any stray threads or missed seams.Best of all, it holds my laptop without crowding my books for school. There was room to put my billfold and a few other odds and ends. I put my tablet in the back zip compartment on the outside of the bag. The front compartment has a place for pens and pockets for ID or business cards. I have a Contigo reusable bottle. The pockets on each end of the bag will hold it even though it's a little larger around than a regular water bottle.It was important to me that the buckles on the bag fasten securely and they do. The stitching in the straps around the buckles are secure. The buckles themselves are made of sturdy plastic that doesn't seem likely to break. They snap securely in place and hold when tugged.The bag is just what I need for college. It's solid, durable and (thankfully) holds my gear without being crowded. I love it.5Comfortable to carry and very durable. .. We have no problems putting our 15.4" or 17" laptops in this bag. The material is durable inside and out and doesn't have any strange odors to overcome. The bag came packaged in a giant resealable plastic bag. The long strap is perfect for swinging over my shoulder. I carry this bag hands-free all the time. The side pocket on the outside holds my 20oz tea infuser mug, it is a perfect fit.Everything is stitch together very well. There isn't any loose strings or seams. The inside pockets are durable and strong. The canvas is a very good grade and has had to repel a few mild rain showers already. The inside material is smooth and silky feeling but very thick, a lot thicker than most bags I have had.This bag is worth every penny. The Outlet Mall had one for a lot more than this one and the quality wasn't nearly as good. I'm more than pleased with my purchase and have already had a lot of compliments from this bag.5Thoughtful Work BagMy Thoughts:First thing that comes to mind is how thoughtful the design is for the working individual. Many pockets almost too many, large capacity for a laptop, tablet, etc.. and rooms for cords. I found the shoulder strap nice, but I would like to see some cushion built in. The side pockets can fit a small diameter water bottle/drink. One other thing I might change would be the Velcro flap I think snaps might work better I found when I picked the bag up and it had some weight the flap sometimes pulled open if I wasn t careful enough to secure. All the zippers and stitching are quality which speaks the future durability of this bag.The Bottom Line:I was transitioning from a larger work bag to a smaller one and this fit exactly what I was looking for. See pictures.5Beautiful large capacity bag!! Very well made. I was going to buy me a new 15 laptop so I decided to get this cool bag!! Ended up buying a 13 instead, so the laptop bag is a little larger than I need but it s still great!!! Check out the photos and video if you want to know how big it is.I was first attracted to the gray denim look to the bag! The contrast of the brown straps, handles, and zippers look great with the gray color of the bag. It gives it a nice vintage look. The canvas is water resistant so if will not ruin your books or computer if you re caught in the rain or accidentally spill something.The bag has two really really large inner pockets. One has a strap to hold in your laptop and the other is separated and can house books, binders, notebooks, or anything else you want to take with you. It also has multiple smaller pockets where you can store your chargers, phone, pencils, notes, even a lunch!! Each side of the bag also has pockets to hold a water bottle.The zippers and the stitching is nice and reinforced so they should last a nice long time.Overall I really really like this bag!!!!! I wish I would have purchased the smaller one since I ended up getting a smaller laptop lol. The only downside is that the laptop pocket is a little wide, it would be good if you had a old fat laptop lol or a laptop and a binder. Not too big of a deal just thought it s show.5
