    Waste of money Looks nothing like pictureNo Terry sweatbandJust A triangle of cloth with a hard patch at the fore head. Do not but! 1Works on the shave'd head. When I first put it on, I thought it wasn't going to work, my head was still warm. I shave my head, and if you know anything about evaporative cooling, you know that's what hair is for. It's a wick.And, if you shave your head, you also know that there aren't a lot of sensitive nerves up there. You can feel pressure and some temperature, but it's not like, say, your wrists. And when it's warm outside, my head feels hot after shaving.Anyway, I'm thinking it's so-so, then I take it off, and I can feel my head start to heat up. It's getting warmer.This does work on the shaved head. Rinse or soak or, if you're out hiking pour, some water on it.Can't say for all you with hair though. 4Cloth + advance PVA material = great relief for autoimmune sufferers during heat Please note this is a DIFFERENT product than the Ergodyne Chill-Its 6710 Evaporative Cooling Triangle Hat, Solid Blue which is just a cloth. The 6710CT has a layer of PVA material inside that activates quickly when soaked in cold water for a minute or so. It stays cool and takes away the heat from your skin wherever it is placed. This makes all the difference. If you get really warm in the summer, your head retains all the heat without releasing any through sweating and you feel like your brain temperature is 100+degrees, give this a try.Many autoimmune and/or neurologic disease sufferers do not do well with heat. I use this in two ways a) as indicated on my head, PVA side tightly resting on my forehead NOT above my hairline. This way conduction helps cool the brain through the forehead and in 2-5min or so you feel like a different person. You can think more clearly, your are not as jittery, your entire body temperature seems to drop. Yes, you will look like a smurf but you will be able to function. Now what is more important?The second way I use it is by rolling it up, large PVA side facing out and I use it as a neck scarf. By the same mechanism it cools my neck and all nerves and blood passing through that area, helping bring my temperature down.I literally go nowhere without it in the summer, along with a travel size spray bottle filled with water to create some evaporation on skin areas not covered by clothing. Godsend! 5I would NEVER buy this again. I really hate to give this a 1 star rating but I don't really have much choice, I wear a LOT of "Do rags" and I wanted one that would keep me just a bit cooler, This is like wearing a wet piece of cardboard on your head. VERY uncomfortable and looks horrible. I do not think that they had anybody wear it before they put this out on the market. It is ill fitting. I hated this one so much that I even cut the material out that is supposed to keep you cool out of it trying to make it at least wearable.. This did not help either, now all it is is a sweat rag in the cab of my work truck. In good faith I would not recommend this to anyone. 1Helps with heat stress issues I bought these and the cooling towels, and I wish I had bought all of them in this bandana style instead. Being able to wet these down, then wear on their heads, has been the absolute best application for this type of cooling product in an outdoor work environment. We have had 100 degree days, with heat indexes even higher, and I purchased these to try on our torch burners, who cut steel all day long. This is only one precaution of many we have in place as part of our heat stress reduction safety & health plan, but I do like these the best. They don't come off, they can be quickly rewetted and put back on, unlike the towels, which take more time to place under the necklines of the high viz shirts they must wear. I will buy more of these for our next season of hot weather and will probably not buy the towels. Hands down, all of the torch burners said having the ability to cool their heads down, worked the best. They like them and all of them got "sharpies" and put their names on them before they even used them. When you see construction workers claiming a safety item, you know its a winner! 5Terrible This product has a very hard liner that doesn't conform to any human head. I tried washing several times to soften it up, but when it dries, it is very hard and cannot be tied on. Furthermore, when it is wet, it feels very greasy and gross. Total waste of money, I threw it in the trash 1Who cares what it looks like when it's 105-115 degrees outside it works, I soak it in ice water, take cell phone and wallet out of my pockets, and wrap it sopping wet around my head, the water runs down and soaks my shirt too, This and a wide brimmed straw hat out in the sun makes work tolerable, I bring a 5 gallon bucket of water just to stay wet all day, Who cares what it looks like when it's 105-115 degrees outside! I'm comfortable! 4Exceeded expectations!! I got it for my husband to wear riding his motorcycle. It was stiff right out of the box, so we questioned it s use. But he rode today and came back full of enthusiasm, because he loved it! Don t know how they do it, but glad they do! Thanks so much! 5I'm shocked - shocked - this thing works. For a few bucks, I thought I'd give this a try. I wasn't expecting too much from it.What a surprise! This thing is great.I work in full sun in the Caribbean cutting, grinding and welding steel. This provides shade for my head, stops the sweat from running down my face and safety glasses, and actually makes things a lot more comfortable. Just the fact that it stops the sweat from running down my face and driving me nuts is enough to recommend this, but it actually does more.I'm getting at least one more spare. 5I ordered the wrong one. I'm sure this durag works as stated but I ordered the wrong thing. I wanted the absorptive version, not the evaporative one. I have an evaporative towel and I hate the thing. I'll drop this off to the Goodwill bin and order the correct one. 5
