Customer Reviews

The old design is much better and prevented this When these glasses are folded, the arms scratch the inside of the lenses. The old design is much better and prevented this. Junk 1Good, comfortable safety Eyewear. I am a female with a narrow face. I searched the Internet, for safety glasses that I could wear, while I cut my yard. I wore these glasses for the first time on 7/6/16, with temperatures between 94 to 100 degrees, and a heat index of 107-110 degrees. There are no trees in my yard, so I cut the grass in direct sunlight. Even with sweat rolling down my face, these glasses didn't fog up or slip down my face. They were very comfortable to wear, and my vision was clear, with no distortion of the lenses. There is a small Edge label, printed on the top of lens, but this did not affect my vision. If you are looking for safety eyewear, give these a try. 4I would be much happier with the product presented in the advertised image Another reviewer has already stated the following, but it definitely needs to be redressed:BUYER BEWAREThe image of this product does NOT totally reflect the actual product. There are blatant aesthetic differences:1. The logo "Edge" is not actually printed on the side. Instead, it has a fire blazed E written there instead2. Printed onto the front of the lens is the word "POLARIZED". Given it doesn't obstruct your vision, I'd still be much happier with it removed.See images for proper representation of product.Pros:-indeed polarized-fully cover eyes-tight fit to prevent movement-no discomfort or chaffing from contact with noseCons:-will fog if used for exercise-previously mentioned image misrepresentation of productI would have given this product a 4/5 if I knew exactly what I was buying. I don't plan on returning them, however. Though not particularly stylish, they are useful for heavy wind, lawn mowing, etc... Basically anything they you could benefit from eye protection. 2Edge Eyewear Polarized sunglasses are the only sunglasses I will buy anymore. I actually love these glasses, but am only rating the Dakura frame 4 stars because I find that farme-style allows for the glasses to fog up pretty easily. The lenses are really great. The lenses will scratch if not cared for, but the glasses are so inexpensive that it doesn't hurt the wallet to replace them. I have several pair of Edge Polarized glasses because they are so cheap it's cost effective to have multiple frames with different colored lenses for different purposes. I use the copper lenses for driving, the yellow lenses for shooting and the smoke, the blue gradient and the silver gradient for everyday, out and about wear. My favorite frame style is the "Reclus" - those are 5 star glasses, I'd give them 6 stars if I could. 4Much better looking than the price would suggest These are much better looking, and better performing, than the price would suggest. As other reviewers have noted, they are on the small side, which for me is perfect (I wear a 7 1/4 size hat and these fit me perfectly). They have a matte finish that, in my opinion, makes them look more expensive than you might expect. I found that these had good visual clarity and didn't see any distortion. The glasses give very good coverage for your eyes, so these would be good on a motorcycle or with the top down in a jeep.Style wise, these compare well with my Bolle sunglasses that were closer to $70. But, no one would mistake them for Oakleys. They are a great pair for the price. They do not, in any way, scream that they are safety glasses.I really like these and I will use these as everyday sunglasses, especially because they are polarized. 5They usually last about 2 years before they get scratched up where I do not like them for driving I can not complain about anything. The frames are snug on my head, the polarizing helps while driving. I use the new pair at work then when the get scratched up I make them the glasses i use for mowing and edging at home. They usually last about 2 years before they get scratched up where I do not like them for driving. I find it hard to pay a lot for a pair of glasses that could get broken easily in my line of work. I also do not see much difference between these and other name brand at several times the cost. I like that they fit close to your eyes and light will not come in from the sides. I have never had a pair of frames break. I have bumped into limbs and scratched the lenses, but they are rated as safety glasses and they saved my eyes. 5My husband won't stop buying these! Great if you: work outside, need safety glasses, don't want to spend a lot, have sensitive eyes, like to fish----------------------------My husband won't stop buying these! He is on his 4th or 5th pair. He has a pretty physical job and the glasses get scratched up from time to time but that's his job and not the fault of the glasses. He likes them because they are safety-rated to protect his eyes. He does commercial HVAC so safety glasses are important. He also has to work in all kinds of weather conditions. He has absolutely no issue with glare while wearing these and he has really sensitive eyes. He also feels comfortable wearing them all the time because they are so inexpensive that if something were to happen to them he can just get another pair. He says if the pair he has wears out or gets scratched he is going to get another pair. He says the average life span is between one to three years (that's how long it takes for the lenses to get scratched up - the frames have never failed). 5Great for Driving, Skiing, Biking, and Even Work! This is a review of Edge Eyewear TSM212 Dakura Polarized Safety Glasses, Black with Yellow Lens.I did not realize it was possible to get polarized lenses in yellow until I discovered these Dakura TSM212 s. After 3 months I can say that I like these glasses a lot. The polarization greatly enhances the level of detail for me in snow - allowing me to see contours and tracks much better than anything else I ve tried. They also work good for cycling, driving, and of course as safety glasses when working outside. These are darker than any other yellow lensed safety glasses I ve used - dark enough that I use them as sunglasses. The tag on the glasses states 36% Visible Light Transmission . I ll attempt to post some photo s with this review but amazon s review system makes this difficult to impossible at times. These are higher quality than your typical, less costly safety glasses. They have a rubber coated frame which I helps them stay put even if one is sweating. The lenses seem quite durable - I haven t noticed any scratches on mine even though I usually clean then by wiping on my shirt or sleeve.Optical quality seems very good. The polarization is quite obvious, and a noticeable improvement over non polarized yellow glasses. The polarization sometimes makes it difficult to read LCD displays at the gas pump or in the grocery store - but that happens with my other regular polarized sunglasses too.Overall I really like these glasses. I will probably buy another pair when they wear out. However there are two things that I dislike, which may be deal breakers for some folks. There is writing etched in each lens that sometimes is distracting when I turn my head quickly. I ve learned to live with it, but your tolerance for this may vary. Also, the glasses tend to squeeze my medium-large sized head a bit. This really bugged me for the first few days, but now I don t notice it at all. However a friend of mine tried them on and just couldn t stand being squeezed like that. To be fair, it is gentle, and combined with the rubberized frame helps keep the glasses in place when mountain biking or otherwise being jostled about. So there you have it. I docked a star from my rating because of the above two issues. But I still think these glasses are worth consideration if you think the benefits of these well made yellow polarized glasses will outweigh the negatives. 4An excellent buy Don't get me wrong, my main pair of sunglasses are Oakley, I love them, and if it wasn't for the price, I would have bought another pair (or two or three) of Oakley. And I do believe the Oakley is better. However, they are several times as expensive as this Edge Eyewear. I had never owned a pair of polarized yellow colored lenses (block lots of blue spectrum light), and I do a lot of shooting, including in cloudy weather and sometimes in rainy weather. I wanted something that wouldn't have me blinded by brightness when the sun poked through, but also wouldn't make it look like it was 9PM by blocking too much light when the clouds were blocking the sun. These did a perfect job, and in exactly that scenario. I even drove through hard rain with them on the way home, and I swear I could see better with them on than without. They really do seem to give you better contrast with the glare reduction, without making things too dark/dim.I wore this pair for basically 9 straight hours each day two days in a row. Tight enough they don't move, not so tight as to be uncomfortable (ever), hearing protection (earmuffs) sealed around them nicely, lenses stayed reasonably clean considering the environment...I will probably be purchasing another pair or two of these in the future with differing lenses for different uses and to keep in different locations. 5Excellent. Recently our company made it mandatory to wear safety glasses for nearly everything except using the restroom (maybe that's being written in now--maybe some splash will land in my eye). I have an issue with glare, especially while driving. The company provides safety glasses, but are not polarized. Thought I would give these a spin: and I love them. They work great, are ANSI certified, and make me look cool while I work. In fact, they work so well I might just use them while using the restroom. 5
