    One of the best recessed eyeballs around This product is recessed unlike most eyeballs. It has a more suttle appearence than most eyeballs. Therefore you have the flexibility of adjusting the light exactly where you want it and it's not an eyesore . Easy to install. Routine wire install. Use a PAR long neck 50 watt bulb, which is more than adequate for lighting. One of the best and most suttle recessed lights around. Great product. Excellent for picture/ mantel lighting highlighting. I have it in both living and kitchen. Use a Lutron Maestro dimmer for regular lighting and it's perfect! Looked long and hard in all lighting supply stores etc, for us this is wonderful... 5can't go wrong Great product, great price, great service. Sometimes you just have to use the eyeballs for lighting with vaulted ceilings. These really update the look, they are a lot less noticable on the ceiling. 5Five Stars Great fit... worked as designed. 5Looks Crisp We replaced some 25-year-old yellowing "eyeball" trim with these. The 420W looks much cleaner and crisper than the old trim. The 420W trim's "eyeball" is recessed slightly into the ceiling and is less obtrusive than the old eyeballs. The new trim ring outside diameter was slightly smaller than our old Halo trim, so we had to touch up the drywall paint around the ceiling opening to clean up some discolored areas. It was well worth the effort. I hadn't realized how much of an old eyesore the original trim had become. 5Excellent product... Super easy to switch out with modern cans. Looks great. I like the thin outside ring. Those thick rings just do not look right to me. So, this product just works. I have had problems in the past with similar items because the cans in the house were thirty or forty years old. Sometimes there are plastic parts that fatigue and break. If you have that problem, you just might have to change out the can as well. 5Good Very good. 5Perfect with Utilitech Airtight housings We just got 9 recessed lights installed in our house, all with Utilitech Airtight housings (cans), and some very nice white "stepped" trims that the electrician provided. But, we have 3 large paintings on some of the walls, that were not completely under the halos of the new recessed lights, so I thought I would give these eyeball trims a try... they are PERFECT!! Not only did they allow me to direct the light towards the paintings, but they were also extremely simple to install on the new housings/cans. They also match the other trims very closely, both in color and in texture.Just in case you don't know (I didn't when I purchased these), the way you replace a regular trim with an eyeball trim is by removing the light socket from the housing's plate, and then mounting it on the eyeball. Most housings should have a way to do this easily. Now, mounting the socket on the eyeball is done from behind/the top of the eyeball, so make sure that your socket is removed/installed from behind the housing's plate! (i.e., by removing the plate completely from the housing) The reason I mention this is because we have one old housing where the socket is removed from under the plate, and because it has a large rim around the socket, and the fact that it is not supposed to be installed from behind/top of the plate, it did not fit on the eyeball! That is an old housing thought, and probably based on different standards and accessories. But, something to keep in mind. 5Five Stars Works great. Just about as low profile as you can get for an eyeball recessed lighting. 5Five Stars good 5Does everything needed once installed, it both swivels and tilts (up to 30 degrees) so that it can be pointed in the direction. 5
