    This one is perfect! YesI bought this transformer in order to be able to use my Singer Featherweight 222K sewing machine that came all the way from England. I had tried 2 others before, which didn't work. This one is perfect! Yes, its a little big, but I keep it on the floor and take it with me wherever I take my machine. Excellent quality, sturdy, metal5Transformer, 110-220 to 220-240 Volts;Finally I can use my VitamixI took my 120V Vitamix to Middle east and was told that I can not use it because of the voltage. Finally I purchased this product and now i'm able to use it. It's a little big in the Kitchen but well worth it. I'm happy I can use my blender again.5Does the jobOnly way we can use our European keyboard. This is easy to set up and works like a charm! My only complaint is that the cord is really short, and you shouldn't daisy chain it with an extension cord, so it limits its usefulness in that way.4Would buy again.Some humming, which increases with load, but unless you work next to it you wont notice.Found the universal socket very difficult to plug the Australasian (Aus and NZ) plug into, but it did eventually work it's way in with patience. A better quality socket would be a good improvement.Apart from that it works, is fairly solid (and heavy) and should last, if not over loaded.Worth the money, for sure.3Five Starsvery good for international use5Singer Featherweight 222KI bought the 500w model to use with my Singer Featherweight 222K sewing machine. Call me a purist, but I wanted to use the machine as it was originally made and not converted to US power. The instructions say to figure 3x the watts needed, so I got the 500w model. Received item unharmed, read instructions, and plugged it up. Works well. It has a low humming noise, but not noticeable while on the floor in use. I only plug it in when using it, otherwise keep it unplugged. This brand was the only one I found with a good warranty. It may be a few dollars more, but considering the item I'm using it with, it's definitely worth it. Highly recommend to my Facebook friends in the Feathweight group page, as well as anyone looking to use with a precious Featherweight.5Solidly made product.Good, sturdy product. I would not suggest it for travel but recommend it highly otherwise. I have used it in both capacities - up and down. I would add that the customer follow-up by the company is very, very good.4220 to 110 converter that works!Purchased a drill for my uncle that was 110 volts made for use in USA. Used this converter to power the drill overseas in the Middle East where he's from, and there its 220 volts power. Worked perfectly. Would highly recommend.5Does its job, no problemsWorks great! Using a 100W transformer to power a late-60s 60W Sansui receiver and it works perfectly! Also got an email from Dynastar the day before the delivery with thorough instructions. This unit didn't smell at all, powered up immediately, and quietly powered everything I needed it to! I had previously purchased a Rockstone transformer that arrived reeking of plastic and industrial fumes, then got jammed in the on position (even though it wouldn't actually power up) the first time I tried to use it - actually gave me a pretty good scare! So glad I returned it and picked this one up.5Don't buy the warehouse dealThis was a warehouse deal. It said original box damaged. Item is new, may have 1/4" scratch. Ok, no big deal. It was $50 less than one in a new box. Who cares about the box.Well, the box came and it looked like a label was removed from a previous return and it was a mess. It came inside a huge box without any protection (see photo).When I plugged it in, everything rattled. All the screws on the bottom holding the transformer were loose. One was stripped and could not be tightened. The screws on the case looked like they had been removed and replaced. This item was a mess.The voltage coming out of my outlet was 111.8 when I plugged this unit in and turned on the computer it dropped to 108 on this device. Never held the voltage steady. I did not try or need the downgrade function. Returned item.1
