Works goodThis doorbell works great except that it has a bunch of different tones but you can t use them. When you change the tone, It just keeps defaulting back to the original tone when you ring the bell. It works great for my dogs paw. 3Bad unitHas all the features I want but the ringer is a bit finicky. The ringer has a hard plastic shell on it so it's not an obvious button to push. Nothing compresses so there is no obvious feedback that it rang other than a small light. I had a hard time getting it work when I first installed it. Eventually I got it to work. It's nice and loud and reaches throughout my house but the design of the ringer is unnecessarily finicky. Would have preferred an old fashioned button.UPDATE 2019: It's stopped working completely and I'm not sure why. It began failing to work sometimes, but we'd try removing and replacing the battery, or doing so with the cover to see if that worked. We'd get it to work sometimes but it would always fail eventually. This is our second unit, we returned the first. It seems that some of these units are faulty since I'm seeing some reviews on here that echo my experience. 1Great Buy!!!Purchased this product with two receivers and one transmitter. It is all set up and fully functional. One receiver is downstairs and one upstairs but the chime is loud enough that it can be heard from from either floor even with one receiver plugged in. It was a bit tricky setting the tunes but we finally got it done. We love the fact that the transmitter is water proof and having had quite a bit of rain since it was installed, we are pleased to report that it is still functioning. Previous door bells (not the same brand) had stopped functioning after downpours of rain. We also installed a small solar light over the transmitter so that it can be easily seen at night. The blue light on the transmitter and receiver is also useful. We are happy with the purchase and would certainly recommend it. 5A Very Nice Product - Quality and PriceThe shipment arrived promptly on schedule. I installed it a week ago and am very happy with it. Installation, pairing, and operating instructions were very easy to follow. I have a fairly large two-storey house. One unit is at the front of the first floor; the second at the back of the second floor, providing excellent coverage throughout. There are four volume settings on each receiver, allowing me to set the upstairs chime at a softer level than the downstairs one. I particularly like the attractive design and the fact that the chimes are AC powered, avoiding the need for battery maintenance except in the doorbell touch-tone unit. There are fifty-two different ring tones to select, and some of them are familiar themes, others humorous, and yet others derived from various ethnic music. It's fun to be able to personalize your door chimes. There are even several Christmas or winter-themed chimes. It hasn't rained since I installed it, so I can't attest to its waterproof capability yet. It should get a good stress test this winter, but looking at the quality of design, including the self-adhesive and gasket materials, I don't expect any problems. (Don't use the screw mounts if waterproofing is important for you.) Finally, the manufacturer followed up with a personal email thanking me for my purchase and inviting me to contact them if I have any questions or concerns. Overall, a great buy. 5Good Sounds From the DoorI bought this in December and I waited to write my review as I wanted to see how it stood up to South Florida Summer weather. I have to say it's done really well baking in the Florida sun outside my door. It works well and I love the adjustable sounds. My doorbell isn't an ugly eyesore and the ringtone I picked isn't obnoxious like many others I've heard, most people don't even know it's the doorbell chime when they hear it for the first time. I also like that is came with 2 doorbell notification boxes so if I want to add one to my upstairs I can and it's so simple to set up. 5Great product.I really like this product. It works great, looks great and is so simple to install except mounting the doorbell. I am mounting my doorbell (button) on a my wooden privacy fence gate outside my patio home. I automatically assume the sticky pads (provided) won't work on a wood surface and I couldn't bring myself to drill a hole in the back of the button case (as directed) and ruin the integrity of the waterproof case. So I used some waterproof JB plastic epoxy (from Amazon) and welded the button to a blank phone box cover then screwed the the cover to the wood post. I would strongly suggest that Ado Tech make the back of the button with an ear on top and bottom to use for placing the button using screws. This would not not loose the waterproof integrity of the button when mounting. Works great. Just hope the batteries last at least a few months. 5So far I love it.So far I love it... My wired doorbell system gave out and I decided to go with wireless, 3 volume settings, I think it has 50 different chimes including Christmas time themes... The ringer on the door even looks nice.. I've actually gotten compliments about it, if you can believe that... You can move the bell system around too and plug it in where you can hear it best... I have three floors in my house.. sometimes I spend all day in the basement doing things that need to get done.. 1-2-3 bring the bell downstairs and I don't have to worry about missing anybody stopping by.. I installed the button with the screws supplied rather than the tape provided. It was easy to remove the internal circuit board by removing one tiny screw then reattaching it once the button was screwed to the wall. Yes, most of the tunes are cheesy, and I'd never use them other than as a joke, but it does have a couple basic chimes that are just fine, and in my opinion, plenty loud. Yes, they're "electronic" sounding, so if you're used to a mechanical chime, any of the electronic chimes will take a bit of getting used to. But I definately disagree with some of the negative reviews I read that complain about the chimes.I looked at a lot of wireless doorbells online before buying. I like this one because the matte black finish stands out least against my stone facade. Many models were shiny and garrish and quite large. This one (the transmitter) is rather small and unobtrusive. Its also more waterproof than many appeared to be--there's not button, it's touch sensitive, so it's sealed very well.The transmitter allows for mounting by adhesive pad or with screws. I used the latter and had to use a drill to make holes through the back part of the cover. There are molded areas for just that purpose. It means you sacrifice a bit of the water proofing, but I was able to put some rubber material behind it to make a good tight seal.Another great feature that stood out from the rest is the ability to expand the system by buying additonal transmitter/receiver packages. I love having a bell on each floor of my house. And while I've not tried it, you're also able to use additional transmitters each with it's own link to the receivers and the abilty to ring different chimes. 5so good! I plugged in one of the chimers in ...Installed it one week ago on a brick column (uncovered area) outside of our gated front entry and it has rained heavily on 2 different days since. So far, so good! I plugged in one of the chimers in the hallway (approx 40' from the entry) and the 2nd chimer is out back. Both work great, the adjustable volume is perfect, and there are a ton of different "ring tones" to choose fun (even a dog barking). I needed this because we lock our front gate and the hard wired original doorbell is no longer accessible to our guests. I chose this brand based on reviews, the weather-durability, and the push button itself; there is a "bell" shaped icon embossed in the center of it so people know it is a doorbell. I read the reviews on several other wireless doorbells and that seemed to be an issue for many that were not clearly marked. This one lights up blue on the bell icon so your guests know that it was successfully "pushed". Well worth the money - even my husband was impressed. 5
