but it isn't pretty. Since it is a self-healing screen It gets the job done, but it isn't pretty. Since it is a self-healing screen, the surface of your phone with this protector will no longer look like a smooth glass. There will always be some small indentation grooves as random day to day object's pressures on the screen reshapes it.The size was a little problematic as well. I used with an otterbox case and I think the bottom of it should have been 1mm or 1/16 in shorter to fit properly. As is the case tends to hit the edge of the protector from time to time and create a edge bubble.The edges aren't always perfectly attached, and in two of the corners here is like 1/32 in or 0.5 mm or so that it is off of the screen. The protector is not coming off of the screen though, just doesn't look like if the glue or whatever the screen had was fully gone to the edge. 3This is the one you should buy. I'm pretty sure the heavens have opened up and angels are singing, because I have had the WORST time finding a good screen protector/case combination until now. After my S8 Plus broke from a short fall, I decided to switch to the S8 and that I couldn't risk going without both a case and a screen protector, but the admittedly beautiful (and useless) curved edge design has made this a complete nightmare. Since this is an $800 phone, I wasn't going to give up and even switched to the iPhone for two days (worst two days of my life) in hopes that I could protect it better.FINALLY, I've found the best possible and most functional combination with this screen protector and the Otterbox Commuter case. I tried the Alpha Glass (trampoline effect until it broke) and several off brand screen protectors and every one of them was pushed up by the case, but once applied, this one doesn't actually touch the case itself, so there are no worries of that. I've always liked wet application screen protectors, but was worried the edges wouldn't stay down on this one, as I've seen on others. I've had it on for a couple of days now, though, with no signs of trouble. For $8 for two, this is a marvelous find! I'm thrilled. 5So far so good. I am holding off on a 5th star for a couple of months.This went on pretty easily. I installed 2 of these as my wife and I each have an S8.I have discovered that you can't really get a tempered glass screen protector on an S8. They all see, to have issues. (Don't go my the reviews on Amazon. At best you lose sensitivity, at worst they don't sit properly on the screen.So I have to revert back to the old film protectors. This looks good so far, but as I recall from years ago, film protectors always look good at first. After a few months, they haze up from all of the scratches. So I holding off on that 5th star for now. I'll revisit this review in a few months. 4If you nail the installation, it could be 5 stars...zero customer support This can be a good product, but quite challenging to install properly. I was concerned with using too much liquid.Second attempt was better because I used more wetting agent; however, when I checked the phone next day, edges did not adhere properly and moisture was detected by the phone in the charging usb port, and therefore will not charge. I think some fluid must had seeped past protector onto charging port overnight even though I squeeged away. Hopefully this will not be a major problem.I any case, I want to like the product but am concerned whether I can get it installed properly without damaging my phone.I would appreciate any help you can offer." 2NO BUBBLES and other pros and cons Very pleased. Be sure to follow the youtube installation video. Wait before getting the edges down. I've use two types of screen protector: the stiffer plastic type (I think that's the PET type) that show a lot of scratches and this gummier type (TPU type?). This is the first I can remember trying that came with a liquid solution for ease of alignment and lack of air bubbles. (No smell to the solution -- I suspect it's distilled water and maybe a rinse aid type surfactant). I haven't tried the tempered glass protectors (that are curved to fit the S8).Pros:No bubbles at all. Some water bubbles from the solution after the application, but they disappear overnight. It looks very unprofessional until then.Curved edges of the S8: It won't stick at first, but after waiting a few minutes for some of the installation fluid to dry out you can press it down. Don't try so hard that you distort the film making it less likely to sit properly.Cases: worked with my cheapo case. The film is cut back enough that it shouldn't interfere with the case. It's still big enough to cover the curved edges. I bought a cheap screen protector when I first got the phone that didn't stay down because of this same case. You need to get it fairly evenly on the phone or it might then interfere with the case. If you don't have good eyes break out the spectacles.Clarity: looks clearTouch sensitivity: Haven't noticed any difference from before I had the protector on it.Fingerprints: Far less noticeable than with just the glass.Adhesive: Mild. Won't leave anything behind.Scratches: None so far. Seems much better in this regard than the harder plastics.Installation: While it's a bit of a process that you should follow as in the video, it works well and the liquid allows you to get the alignment right. Once you get the alignment right, let it set up a bit and then worry about getting the curved edges down. If there's any dust under mine, it has formed itself around it rather than creating an air bubble like the stiffer protectors do.Cons:My finger drags more than without the protector, but it's not enough to be a problem to me.A couple of very small dings/imperfections that can only be noticed when viewing reflected light across it at an angle.Degree of protection? not sure. Seems good to prevent scratches and even absorb some direct impact, but doubtful that it adds any structure to the glass.24 hour installation: Well my phone inadvertently got turned back on while I was installing it. After an hour I was using it (small water bubbles still present) with no problems. Probably don't want to be throwing it into pockets or doing other things which might lift an edge. I didn't use a hair dryer as some have mentioned. While that would dry it more quickly it would also heat up the adhesive. 5So Far So Good! Phone: Samsung Galaxy S8Case: Otterbox SymmetrySo I got my Galaxy S8 last month and since then I have been protecting my phone with the standard "Verizon Wireless Tempered Glass" screen protector they provided me with my phone. However, because the S8's "Infinity Screen", that screen protector did not settle correctly and developed it a small crack along the side of it. I knew, I was going to have to find a better solution... For the past few weeks, I have been scanning and searching for, "The Best Tempered Glass Screen Protector for the Galaxy S8." I came across numerous products, more specially products that claimed their protector was superior and was made with curved glass. Upon reading reading many reviews I noticed customers were having many issues when it came to case compatibility as well as getting the adhesive to settle correctly. Because of this I was super hesitant as to what my screen protector purchase would end up being. (ps. In addition, I feel as though I came across many products, that appeared to have potential fake reviews in order to boost their rating. ***No Reviews, just stars!*** After doing some research online I determined it would be best to buy a "film" protector until the glass ones have improved, as I do tend to prefer those over "film". So while looking for a film protector I came across "Delta Shield's" product, and decided to give it a try. I really was hesitant to buying a "wet application product" due to the fear of potentially damaging sensitive phone parts (headphone port, speakers, etc.). However, I took precaution and used frog tape to cover the small ports to prevent any liquid entering the phone. It has been an hour since my installation, and overall I thought the process went well, a little tedious, but manageable. The protector seems to be very case friendly, and as of now I would recommend it. I never take the time to write reviews, but I thought I would do this to help those are in the same situation I was in. I will update my review for you guys when the protector settles completely. Thanks! 4I must warn you. I came into this a hard skeptic after the curved displays on the S7 and the protectors then. So having said that, I didn't expect much I had given in to the idea that you could either have an awesome display with amazing curves or a screen protector that sticks everywhere and doesn't come undone.This product shattered that idea into a million pieces. First off I very much liked the wet application as it lets you make little wiggles as it's drying to get as close to perfection as possible. Secondly, if you follow directions, and SPRAY YOUR FINGERS, you won't get any fingerprints on the underside.So needless to say it was a breeze to put on. The real test though. Was it going to stay on? And most importantly, was it going to stay on the edges.First I got most the water out with the squeegee and as it was air drying I noticed some lifting on the edges but pushed down with my fingers.Day there now and this product is the tits. Highly recommended. Case friendly. Call me maybe. 5Whenever I've seen people with screen protectors they're super noticeable with bubbles I've never used one of these before. When I got a big scratch on my Note 5 and had to upgrade I decided to get one of these and I'm really glad I did. You can't see it at all!Installation was easy. There's a YouTube video and it comes with all necessary supplies. It took me about 15 minutes because I really wanted to make sure all bubbles were gone. I didn't use my phone for 24 hours after and didn't put my case on for about 35. The case does not mess with the screen protector at all and the screen protector is on there really strong. I also like how it feels. It's very smooth but has just a slightly more grippy surface. 5I was SO mad because it's been a bad season with phones I had my phone for ONE day, and accidentally dropped it. I've never dropped my phone before. I was SO mad because it's been a bad season with phones. I went back to Verizon and they wanted to charge me $50 for a new protector! I was even more mad at that, after I had only had the phone for ONE day!! I read and read and read comments...on all sorts of protectors. I wanted one that was military grade. A few of the comments made me nervous about putting it on, but the comments were otherwise positive, so I got it. The directions came with a video to watch about putting it on. I just followed the directions from that video, and it was a piece of cake! And, although I haven't dropped it... it seems to be a very good, protective protector. I also love that it comes with a 2 pack... just in case. Very happy with this purchase. 5Very good screen protector Very good screen protector with some caveats. Let me explain. Initially I was disappointed with the install but over the course of a couple of days that changed. The protector formed many bubbles after sitting overnight so I was very upset since I followed the directions and had what appeared a great application before going to bed for the evening only to find the many bubbles. However, like the installation video mentions, these do and will go away after a few days leaving a great protector without any bubble. I would like to stress two things with this protector. The first being that it is important to watch the installation video. I did this, followed the directions exactly and was able to get the protector installed with few growing pains since I had never done a wet application like this before. For a curved screen, make sure to really squeegee the curved sides down as well as the edges to eliminate the peeling problem. The second thing I would like to stress is give the protector some time to cure before getting upset or leaving a negative review. You really need to let this sit for at a minimum of 12 hours to allow the screen to adhere properly. The screen protector is pretty thick and durable, but maintains good touch response on the phone. Very happy.Update: While the protector applied great and seems good, it is not compatible with an Otter box Commuter case. Bottom lip peels the film up. 4
