Customer Reviews

Product is normally good quality, but might get DOA Product came very quickly from Amazon, but first chip was DOA. No post by itself or paired with the G-Skil memory, swapping module sockets didn't help, reseating video card (which butts up against the two lower module clips) didn't help, checking against mobo onboard video showed nothing.Amazon was quick, literally overnight, to send a replacement. Registered, system boots so fast between 16GB of ram and my Samsung SSD that it is in a ready to log in state within 5 seconds of power up. Crucial Memory is almost always a sure bet. 4If your specs match, this is awesome. Works as described. Competitive price. Just make sure you get the correct kind (number of pins, timing, voltage, cas latency -- everything needs to match up). And make sure you check inside your computer for how many slots you have, the sticks you have occupied, etc. I have 4 slots, and 1 was taken with an 8 GB stick. Thus, this was perfect. Use Speccy and your computer manual and the internet if you are not sure. 5This works, but once my computer has been on ... This works, but once my computer has been on for a while with it in, it freaks out and locks up and I need to do a hard reboot. Taking it out stops the problem completely. Unfortunately, we didn't install this right away, and by the time we did and realized it was the RAM causing the freak out problem, it was too late to return it. So it works, just only for about 5-10 minutes until my computer and the RAM apparently declare war on each other and fight each other to a standstill. 2Works great Bought one stick of this for a new build I was doing a few months ago. It works great, and when my budget permits, I plan to by another one of these to upgrade to 16 GB. (Yes, I know I'm losing out on dual-channel capability by using one 8 GB stick instead of 2 x 4 GB, but this way I won't have leftover RAM when I eventually upgrade, and it's not clear that the real-world performance benefits are that great.) 5boosted performance to allow me to work on more tasks at once and installed like normal. Not much else to say Works as advertised, boosted performance to allow me to work on more tasks at once and installed like normal. Not much else to say... 5RAM Failed just over a year after purchase... wonder why... I won't buy again... I purchased 3 sticks Apr 15 2015. A few weeks ago, two of the 3 sticks failed. They were installed in different computers, and installed properly by me, a computer technical professional. I have never in my life had RAM fail on me and i have purchased and installed hundreds of RAM modules. I contacted the seller, Sunrise Nanotech, and they refused to help because the sale was over a year old. I am contacting Crucial for replacement, but i can't help but wonder why two sticks of RAM from the same vendor failed just over a year after purchase. It could be a manufacturing issue... but I really don't now. What i do know is that i am very unhappy to have to be dealing with having to remove and get RAM replaced. 1Worked perfectly in my new (refurbished) HP Pavilion 550-127c desktop PC. Worked perfectly in my new (refurbished) HP Pavilion 550-127c desktop PC (HP Pavilion 550-127c Desktop PC - AMD A10-7800 3.5Ghz 8GB 1TB DVDRW Windows 10 Home (Certified Refurbished)). Reasonably priced and performed exactly as expected. Easily installed and once installed, it doubled the total memory in that PC. I just wish that the same size (memory capacity wise) chips were as reasonably priced for the PC that this PC wound up replacing. If that had been the case, I might have kept that PC and just continued to upgrade it with minor tweaks such as this adding of additional memory was. 5Solid and reliable. Definitely recommend. To be honest with you, I view RAM as RAM; the only thing about ram you need to know is that if you have DDR3 RAM stick, it'll only work with DDR3 motherboards. Despite the fact my motherboard is optimized for 2-4 RAM sticks, this thing is clutch and handles math programs and high-ultra quality games solo at ease; although sometimes I can't have more than 25+ tabs on my browser (but that is more because of my motherboard.)If you're not budgeting, get two of these. If you're budgeting you will be perfectly fine with one. I highly recommend it because it just works, and I personally feel RAM should just work, period. 5The only brand I trust... BUT, check their site for compatibility first. I've been buying RAM from Crucial for quite a few years for one reason... I am always 100% sure it will work. There are endless configurations of RAM on the market, and it's not always easy ordering the exact fit for your computer. Crucial's web site has an extensive database of just about every major make and model ever made, and very detailed specs as to which RAM is compatible.Because of this, I always go to their site first, BUT... I soon realized that Crucial uses the same part numbers on Amazon, at lower prices, and with Amazon Prime! This insures that I always have the right part #, and I get the best price and shipping on the planet. 5Disappointed In Crucial. This product has failed me, I can no longer use it in my system. worked for almost a year. I actually bought 2 of these and they both failed. I now have to use an old 4gb kit I had laying around. Really disappointed in the crucial brand at this point. I thought ram should last longer than a year. Heck this old G.skiLL ram is like 4 years old. Too bad I can't game at all now because all the games I enjoy playing use at least 6gb. I would return them but I have no idea how to. Crucial if you see this please contact me. 1
