Very satisfied.5Great Dash KitI got this dash kit to install a Kenwood DPX302U 2-DIN stereo in my 1996 Chevy Blazer 4-door LS. I did all the labor and wiring myself. I absolutely hated the stock analog radio with a cassette player and have been wanting to upgrade the radio, so finally I got around to it. I know if I wanted to install a radio, I would need a good mounting kit for it. I want to post this review being a person that does a lot of their own auto-work and to help others that might have some hiccups along the way, cause this one was one of my trickier installs.A little pricey, but this kit came with everything I needed to bring my Blazer's stereo system into the 21st century. I proceed to disassemble my dash to get at the radio. To do this in the Chevy Blazer, you pry off the dash cover and unplug everything including the headlights, rear hatch, wiper buttons, 4x4 controls, and the rest. You then have to get the cover out from behind your steering wheel and the gear shift. To get it completely off and out of the way, you will have to turn the key, shift your Blazer into the lowest gear, and then lift out the cover. If you have trouble (or don't like messing with this while the shifter is in), you can drop the steering wheel using two 15MM bolts. I had to do this anyway as I also converted my instrument cluster to LED lighting. Notice; dropping the wheel is very time consuming and involves disassembling the entire bottom of the dash.Moving on, There are numerous 7MM bolts holding in the heat/AC console and the old radio in (you have to take the heat/AC control unit out as the stock radio is slightly tucked behind it). You have to remove all of these bolts, I believe there's eight in total.Once that's out, the stock radio comes right out. Now, the Chevy Blazer is technically a 1.5 din (although it looks like a two). Depending on the type of radio you have, you will have to make extra room for the radio to fit, otherwise the bottom side of the radio may stick out and you won't be able to get the bolts back in. Behind the radio there is fiber board. I used a oscillating mutitool and a hammer to get this out. I very cautiously cut it out with the multitool, avoiding all the wires. To not hit the wiring behind the fiber board (it is mounted to the back of the fiberboard), I used a small hammer and a long screwdriver to bust out the old fiber board once it was mostly cut nicely with the multitool. My radio then fit in almost perfect, good enough so I could get all the bolts in and dash back together.Now the dash kit, it comes with a special adapter that allows you to plug the old stereo wiring into a new system, which is nice as you don't have to splice your factory wiring in the vehicle. One bit of confusion I had here; the adapter had two orange wires for illumination and dimming the radio screen. My Kenwood radio unit did not require these, so I taped them off, as should you. There was also a blue antenna power cable I ended up not using. Everything else was pretty straight forward; just used wire caps and taped them on the ends.I put the dash back together and everything fit perfect. Just redo all the bolts, reconnect all the wiring and pop the dash cover back in (you may have to put the shifter down again to to get it back in place nicely). Definitely a recommended install if you like your Blazer and want to modernize it. Just be prepared to do some extra work, including cutting the fiberboard and drilling holes in your new radios metal mount box to get a radio to fit nice.My Blazer as in the photo and mentioned before, I put LED lighting in the dash as well. For this, I bought the "Partsam T10 194 LED Light bulb 168 LED" lights right here of Amazon, they come in a pack of 10. I put red but you can get LED's in any color. The store page says they don't fit a blazer but they absolutely do, the lights are a T10 style adapter. The dash is also held in my numerous 7MM bolts. That combined with a new radio really sets the Chevy Blazer off.5:)This wire harness was much better than my last order only needs the dimmer on this one5was disappointed I couldn't use the small compartment underneathcame as advertised, was disappointed I couldn't use the small compartment underneath. shipping was expedient4Exactly what I neededIt was perfect for my 16 year olds car stereo.
