As expected Works great for conventional switches. Smart switches however can be beat with this cover. I would not degrade my rating because of those. 5Excellent product, works as described.So many of our outlets are tied to light switches and its very annoying to get home and find a game or show didn't record because one of the children switched off the whole panel on the way out the door. Thanks to these guards, that no longer happens. PI plan to put these on every switch that controls an outlet (and a few switches where lights have more than one control) so that we no longer have accidentally shut offs!5Great if you have friends that constantly touch your switches :PI have smart bulbs but people tend to instinctively use switches, and every time it would reset them so I bought these and now I don't have to constantly reprogram them to the setting I like.5Works well Works well for what it s for 5Easy and Effective These things are perfect. Not high quality as the plastic isn't completely clear in some areas which have swirl type marks that are readily visible and which makes it appear to be dirty. My switch plates are screwless so I was planning on using clear gorilla glue to stick them on but they are of such poor quality that they won't lay flat. For a screwed on application that would probably flatten them out. Just wish these were made to a higher quality. My application is for outdoor lights on photocells so I don't want them accidentally turned off but also I want the option to intentionally turn them off without totally removing the guard. Now I must order two more 5Seems simple enoughI have smart lights throughout my home so I bought these to cover the hard wire switches. Seems simple enough but I found if the switch itself is not installed leveled or even, you can t properly secure the cover without it pressing on either side of the switch. To solve this I found small washers to put between the switch and cover.4Unobtrusive but practicalThese are very helpful in preventing the kids from playing with certain light switches! And given that they are clear, do not need to worry about color-matching. And I love that these are screwed onto the plate so that folks cannot accidentally knock them off (like the magnetic ones). I also think that their minimalistic design is better suited for most modern decor. Very happy with them.5Holes are too big to stop a toddler, their fingers fit.I bought these to stop my toddler from switching the lights on and off. Turns out the holes are the perfect size for toddler fingers. Wish the holes were a little smaller. By the time her finger gets too big to fit she will be over the light switch pushing.3Prevents accidental use of toggle switch - not to be confused with childproofing.These do exactly what I needed. We just moved into a new house and had to install eight ceiling fans. For some reason, builders pre-wire two circuits/switches for each fan. Plus some of the circuits were three way. Since all of our fans are remote controlled, I don t want anyone to accidentally turn off the power to the fans at the switch. These covers do that while giving you the ability to toggle the switch if needed. The functionality is great as well, the screw holes recessed so you can use your existing screws to mount it. You'd need really small fingers or ideally, a pen or pencil to switch the light off once this is installed.5Worked Perfectly!We have a multi-switch panel on a couple different walls and half the time can't remember which switch turns what on & off. One of the switches turns our security cameras off....so we needed something to keep us from flipping that switch. These work perfectly!!! I like the fact that they have a small hole in the top and bottom so if you needed to flip the switch while it's protected with this cover, you can easily stick a pencil through the hole and flip the switch either direction.5Toddler figured it out quick I wish these worked but my two year old figured it out in seconds 1Great product! Simple, effective design! Just got these plate cover guards installed - took about 2 minutes. Each plate fit perfectly over the existng Decora switches; the screws lined up perfectly and they were long enough to hold the guard on. We needed them so we wouldn't keep turning off the lights because we have motion detector that turns on the light fixture. it won't work if we turn the switch off. This has been a great probelm solver. 5If you have little 2 and 3 year olds... You definitely need this to keep them from turning your lights and fans off! I may seem like its a hassle a few times but trust me, you'll be glad you bought them! 5Be sure to clean you old switch! Before you install, clean your old switch off a bit. I didn't , and had to remove and clean after I installed. Some reviewers claim they are not clear enough. If your house is so immaculate that this is the flaw... well, no wonder we're not friends For my home they are fine. They will keep the internet and the ceiling fan on permanently. They came in just a generic package, but adequate. I think the price is acceptable. I got the 4 pack. Also, i thought I would need longer screws, but even the shortest screws in the front room were long enough to screw in properly with these installed.5
