    Great for sunglasses with large ends My wife has very nice Maui Jim sunglasses and I told her I'd get her some Chums like I had for my pair. I ordered them and I could not get them on her glasses. Then, I realized that Chums also come in a large size for those extra large ends on her glasses. I was originally dubious that they'd work but they worked great. We love Chums but I was not aware that they came in sizes.She wanted purple so thankfully Chums come in multiple colors. They are soft and don't scratch. I suppose you can wash them but we don't. 5"Gray" isn't gray, it's tan. I like these a lot and use them every day. I originally ordered the normal end version for my Ray-Ban Wayfarers, but couldn't fit them on at all. With the large end, these work perfectly.HOWEVER: I ordered gray, and the color is actually much closer to tan/beige and doesn't look gray whatsoever. It's not heathered like most medium/light gray colors are, either, just a uniform shade of blah. Honestly, this is the color I would expect if I had ordered "khaki" color. I don't mind it too badly and it wasn't worth the hassle of returning, but this is definitely more appropriate to blend into desert camo than it is a true gray. 4Sunglass savers I keep a one of these Chums on every pair of glasses I own. My optometrist says it ruins your frames when you wear them pushed up on top of your head so I wear them around my neck instead. They are machine washable (just put them in one of those mesh bags you use for delicates) and either dry on the delicate cycle or hang up to dry. The only problem is that some of the darker colors in cotton fade quite a bit. Make sure you get the right size for your earpiece, regular or large as you cannot make a regular retainer fit on a large earpiece no matter how hard you try. 4Color lasts only until it gets wet the first time! I really like that these fit over the temples of my Oakley s. Since they are bigger temples it is very difficult to find something that fits. What I didn t like was the first time they got wet at the beach they became completely discolored and turned to a bleached out orange. Very disappointed because I never had this problem with any other eyewear strings! 3An awesome glass lanyard An awesome glass lanyard. Its very durable and the back knot does not slip easily. The front band sleeves hold my Oakleys in place perfectly and it seems that they will not ware out any time soon. I was worried that these would not work well with my Oakleys since they have straight, non-curved temples but they work great! 5Just the right length Have purchased these retainers in the past and been very pleased. Wife decided my old retainer deserved to be retired and some fresh ones obtained. They are very soft and comfortable and have never come loose, but I am pretty cautious with my glasses. I am sure that I will be purchasing more in the future. 5fit my Oakley gascans perfect and kept them on my face white water rafting ... While wearing this my fear that my glasses would fall out diminished, and I was able to see the loops and dips for a change. I highly recommend this to those that ride roller coasters or experience any physical activities that would result in your eyeglasses falling off your face, this would prevent that. 5Cheap insurance for your sunglasses if you are a fisherman, boater, skier, etc. These chums fit my Costa sunglasses, which have pretty thick frames. This is my second purchase of this product - this time in blue, the last in black. The black ones faded after about a half year of use. Salt spray and sun turned the black into brown. I'm not sure how the blue will hold up. I wouldn't go fishing or boating without having these on my glasses. Been there, done that and these are cheap insurance for your glasses! 5breathable cotton with a nice snug bead for adjustment These are exactly what they appear to be. Soft, breathable cotton with a nice snug bead for adjustment. One caveat, I first purchased the standard end size because the ear piece for the Flying Fisherman 7713BA Sunglass in question was only about a centimeter wide. However, it was a soft rubber and no matter how hard I tried, It would just bend and flex and not let the rubber ring in the retainers over the widest part. I had to get the large end version which works great. I had another pair of sunglasses that the standard size worked great for, so I kept them anyway. 4Love them! I've been using those cheesy eyeglass holders with the little stretchy bands that crap out so quickly. Plus they slide all over the place on the arms. Enough already! I bought these and love them!! They stay put. Just a little bulky for inserting into a glass case, but an easy trade off. 5
