Works For My Needs This 15' USB extension cable works as expected to connect thumbdrives to my PC. The connector ends appear to be fairly sturdy and cable is thicker than expected for being so inexpensive but, after reading the other reviews, will avoid placing any undo physical stress on this cable since it seems to have a high failure rate.This was a good deal for me since it worked for my needs, but it seems to be a "hit or miss" cable so I can't recommended it.CFH 415' is just too long This is a solid product, but 15' is just a little too long for a non-active USB extension. I was using the cord to extend my camera control to my PC at a town Santa shoot. Unfortunately I'd only tested it at home while the cable was still rolled up and it seemed to work fine. Morning of the shoot with the cable extended? No dice. The result (my own fault for not testing it unraveled) was six hours of pure HECK running back and forth with memory cards to the PC operator downloading and resorting images. Although USB claims this length is functional without power do yourself a favor and buy an active USB cable (not much of a price difference) if you need this length.. just in case. 2Cables First off to the people who have tried to string them together for a 30ft cable, USB cables are meant for 5m or less (16 feet-ish) so thats why your setup won't work but it'll still be recognized. IF you get a repeater in there it'll work.I ordered 2 of these, and both work. I use them to be able to sit inside, run the cable out side with a wireless adapter on the end to preform "security audits" on the neighbors. Works flawlessly, and a great price 5Only Works With Specific Devices When I plug certain devices in, such as my usb flash drive, my pc wont recognize them. When I plug them into the exact same port without the extension cord, they work fine. Clearly this cord is to blame.I realize the maximum distance with USB is 10 feet. This cord is 15 feet. I would assume they had extra shielding or a repeater or something to make this product work. Instead, they have manufactured a product that does not work and then sold it to people.EDIT: It does work with some devices, namely game controllers. If you need to stretch your controller all the way to your couch, I could see this being useful. 2Black 15 Foot USB 2.0 Extension Cable This Black 15 Foot USB 2.0 Extension Cable works exactly as it should.. It's used primarily to connect a PC to my 60" TV for video and photos and operate them while sitting about 10 feet away from the TV. Nothing of brilliance here; the wire just does the job it was purchased for. It's a great deal if you need one. Forgot to add that I also use it for connecting my OBD II reader to my laptop outside the vehicle while analyzing automobile functions and performance. 5UBS Extension My Original plan was to purchase a wireless keyboard for my media PC, However upon reading specs and reviews I came to the conclusion that none of them are of the quality or price I would be happy to pay. So, instead I bought a cheap keyboard and mouse combo and a pair of these cables and they have been working great for me.Cables are well built usb, I cannot comment on speed of cable since I am using only a keyboard and a mouse.I had bought a set of 10' for my first media pc, and now that I have a new machine in the works I needed new extension cables and this time I decided that that extra 5' is the length needed to go from the back of the tower behind the bench its sitting on and dress neatly around the bottom that way I could still have 10' of length plus mouse and keyboard cable length which makes it perfectly back to my couch which the original 10' could not do. 5Works perfectly with my external wifi adapter I purchased this USB extension cable for use with my TP-LINK TL-WDN3200 Dual Band Wireless N600 USB Adapter, 2.4GHz 300Mbps/5Ghz 300Mbps, WPS Button, 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2 so that I could move the adapter away from my computer in the hope of a better position for a stronger wifi signal. I was concern how well this cable would perform, data transfer-wise, but I have to say it works great. My wifi signal is at 100% thanks to being able to reposition my adapter with this longer USB extension cable.I purchased the cable from "Amamax" vendor, for less than three dollars with free shipping. It arrived in just two days. Couldn't be happier. 5Recommended for extending USB power connections from your computer I can't vouch for its ability to preserve USB signal integrity over such a long path, but it is a great thing to have when you need to charge something located some distance from the charging source. I think it's unrealistic to expect that a USB signal connection over any greater than this distance would be immune to signal loss, but this cable is well made and I will be using it for signal as well as USB power extension. 5Took a chance with these and failed I bought these cables because my usb printer is on my credenza behind my desk. I saw that the reviews were not too good so I bought 3 because of the low price. I only got two in the mail. When I hooked the first cable up it was not recognized by my computer so I removed it and placed my printer on my desk and plugged it in. It worked fine. The second cable did the same thing. I ordered three of these cables because of the reviews thinking one might work but I only got two. Both of them did not work. oh, well, tried. 1Won't Charge Sansa, Works fine with PC I bought two of these. One was meant to extend my sansa fuze charging cable so I could listen to music while it's charging without being a foot away from the wall (I have a USB charging adapter for the wall), the other one was meant to extend my desktop's keyboard and mouse.These don't work for extending the charging cable for the Sansa Fuze - at least in my experience. There's too much resistance. It has been the same with all other cables I've tried too though, so that's okay. I'll just have to make sure it charges well every night.As for extending anything I connect to my desktop pc, (unless of course it's my Sansa Fuze, which needs to charge somehow) everything works exceptionally well. I haven't had any issues with my keyboard and mouse on this thing, even with a USB hub sucking power for multiple devices - everything works as it should. 5
