    Good material, but poorly put together. I was disappointed with these gloves. I was hoping that Carhartt gloves would be better than cheaper gloves. The material used was good, but the way the glove was put together was poor. The stitching around the middle finger made it almost impossible to put my finger in the glove. The way the material was put together around the index finger made the suede fold so that my finger hurt after bending it a few times on the left glove, but the right glove was fine. Nice try Carhardt but assemble the gloves better and then you would have a good product 2Tore when trying it on for the first time The gloves I got were a tad small, which isn't really an issue for me. I would have used them and been fine with it. But the pressure of my index finger being too long and pushing on the tip of the glove actually tore it the first time I put it on. I can't really call it a durable work glove when putting it on breaks it. 1These gloves are excellent. Finally I got a set of work gloves ... These gloves are excellent. Finally I got a set of work gloves that fit. My past work gloves have all been too small. It took me two tries to get the Carhartt gloves that fit. I originally ordered an XL. They were too small. When my fingers are spread out, the distance from the tip of my little finger to the tip of my thumb is 10". I returned the XL and got an XXL. They fit perfectly. 5It fits me to a tee. Finding work gloves for the garden is very hard for me. So when I found these several years, I was very happy. They fit very well, and now, when I ordered the second pair, the price was still the same, which was great. Tough, durable, and the thorns don;t stick me. 5Great exterior, very uncomfortable interior Carhartt makes highly durable and comfy gloves, and I've been wearing them for years. However, this model of their Suede Work Glove has stitching inside the glove that has sharp points and edges that are very uncomfortable for fingers, especially near finger tips. I guess the natural thickness of suede makes it hard to manage.The problem is partially mine. I mistook this model for the similar one that has a Thinsulate lining. I just bought myself that model. I'll give the uncomfortable pair to someone I don't like. Cheers! 3Nice step-above yardwork gloves Carhartt have always been known for great work gloves (although they're not the brand they used to be anymore). I use these for handling tools, brush, chainsaw, firewood stacking -- they're pretty tough! They've lasted one season and look like they'll wear for a few more seasons, no problem. The upper side is "breathable" so you're not sweating inside of a suede bag. Once wet, however you'd want to have another pair of gloves to change into (as you'd expect on any hot summer day, they will get damp with sweat). I wouldn't use these for very long in the garden - you should have latex coated gloves for that (wet soil would soak right into these, and also ruin the appearance). 5Couldn't be more pleased! Bought 'em as a gift for my daughter and she LOVES 'em! Has been wearing 'em all week long while we're putting in a garden and securely fencing it against rabbits and deer.....She says they're some of the best gloves for this time of year that she's ever owned, and her hands are great proof of that -- nary a scratch or bruise on them, despite very hard work. Gloves came quickly, well packed, and reasonably priced - we couldn't be more happy. Warmly recommend both the vendor and the product, & happily will be back for more when we need 'em. 5Bought these twice I got these for my dad for Christmas a few years ago. (He is the hardest person to shop for on the planet.) Normally he goes through a pair of heavy-duty work gloves every three days or so- he cuts and stacks firewood to sell to campers- but these lasted months. He loves them, and they re a very fair price for the quality. 5Seem smaller than others that are 'XL' Barely large enough, even though I ordered XL. The cuffs are much too tight. It's a struggle to get my hand in. Other than that, they're ok. I cut the elastic cuff open so I could use them. 3Carhartt gloves a well made This is the second pair I have bought to wear while working in the yard. The first pair held up for 5 years before becoming so soiled that I felt I would treat myself to a new pair. They are comfortable without binding, I wear XL. 5
