    Wish I'd kept shopping Nice looking after I finally got it installed, but I am shocked by the 4 & 5 star reviews. Came with essentially no instructions. I installed it with lights up. There are metal washer rings that must be threaded on to the light bulb sockets to hold the glass shades in place. Almost impossible to reach down into the glass shades with the very ends of your fingertips to do this. Same with installing the light bulbs. I used standard 60 watt bulbs, kept cross-threading them into the sockets. Maybe the glass shades should have been installed (along with the light bulbs) before you ever mount it to the wall. No instructions, so that's my guess? Additionally, if you ever plan to take the glass shades off to wash them, good luck with that! Very poorly designed. I'm disappointed with Canarm Lighting Co. I will say the four 60 watt bulbs put out great light, and you can use 100 watt. 2Very happy with these lights I was looking for uncluttered, clean looking vanity lights in a chrome finish. So many vanity lights are over done with too much going on. These were just the ticket and at a reasonable price. They arrived in just two days and were packaged adequately with no damage. These are quite easy to install to an existing electrical box. The quick connects are a nice feature making installation a bit easier when you're holding the light while doing the wiring. The glass shades are sleek but easily accommodate anything approaching a regular sized bulb and then some. In my case I've installed Philips 60 watt Equivalent LED Slimstyle bulbs as shown here (10-Pack) Philips 433276 10.5A19/SLIM/2700 DIM 10.5-Watt SlimStyle A-Shape Dimmable LED Lamp - 60W Equivalent They are perfect for this application. As you can see from the attached photos I've hung them with the shades down. I've also included photos with the lights on and off to give you an idea of how they look with 60 watt equivalent LED bulbs at full brightness.It is a bit challenging installing the shades but if your hands aren't too big it is doable. Very happy with this purchase 5Good quality, great design and even better price Comparing this light at this price point to what you can get at your local home improvement stores makes this light a great buy. The design is what we wanted, well packaged and put off just the perfect amount of soft white light (installed lights up with soft white LEDs).I have purchased all three varieties (4,3,2 light) of this light. All three matched each other perfectly, same build quality same installation process.The only complaint I have regarding this light is the installation process. The two gripes I have regarding installation are: Included installation ring required some hacking to mount to the electrical box and the installation of the shades and bulbs requires a good amount of hand/finger dexterity.Pros:- Design lines and look- Option to mount shade up or down- Affordable price- Packaged well, no shipping damageCons:- Installation modifications were needed in my instance- Shade and bulb installation requires a few attempts and lots of hand/finger dexterity 4really it was very easy to install really it was very easy to install. It looks great in my bathroom and make it look different. The lighting is very good as this holds 100 watts of power where usual for this type of wall lamp is 60 watts. what I find a bit complicated and the glass because installing the bulb base does not fit perfectly but looks great. 5Not welded straight! Missing piece! I ordered 3 single-light sconces for a bathroom renovation. I checked them when they came that the glass was in tact and everything seemed good. Then I put them aside since the reno was delayed. When it finally came time to put them up (months later and after my return window closed) my contractor pointed out that one was missing a metal ring that holds the glass in to the fixture, and all 3 of them were welded so the arm of the light was not straight on the base - so you could level the base to be parallel with the medicine cabinet but the glass cylinder would not be parallel. We made do with one of them since it was over the stairs and not as noticeable, but the two going next to the cabinet were so askew that they're trash. Poorly manufactured. I'm including a photo and I tried to take it as squarely aspossible to show the defect. But the ends of the arms you can see look twisted compared to the bases. And you can see I don't have 2 rings like the top one on the left. 1Exceptionally poor installation design These lights are nearly impossible to install. It starts with the mounting plate, which is supposed to be an easy mount and has built in connectors. However if you have a smaller junction box the connector placement means that the mounting plate won t set flush with your wall. The mounting plate also has a cross bar that blocks the junction box making it impossible to put the wires back inside the junction box if you connect them with the wire caps instead of with the built in connectors. The placement of the crossbar in my case also covered the screw holes on my junction box and meant that when I eventually found a way to connect it to the junction box, the fixture was not level and there was no way to correct the problem. The problems don t end there. The fixture itself is connected to the mounting plate with two tiny screws at the top and bottom of the fixture. The top screw has to be installed blind and is incredibly difficult to place. Finally, there are the glass shades. These have to be attached onto the light base with what looks like a large wing nut and a separate collar. The wing nut is exceptionally difficult to place as it must be screwed on with one hand while the other holds the shade in place and it must be done blind because of the shade. In short, the engineer who came up with the installation for this light failed to consider the fact that this is a bathroom vanity light that will be installed overhead for most people and chose to design it (in nearly every aspect) in a way that made it very difficult to install correctly from such a position. 1I love that I had the option of installing it "up" ... I love that I had the option of installing it "up" or "down." If you decide to go with "down" like I did, I recommend you install the bulbs before installing it on the wall....gravity is not our friend. 5Excellent Quality and Fantastic Price These lights are excellent and cost a small fraction of the price of various similar style lights. What's great about them:- they take A19 (standard) bulbs- you can use high CRI LED bulbs- the price is amazing- the height of the fixture - the light fills the "candle"- comes out far enough the light hits you bathroom mirror effectivelyCanarm IVL429A01CH Milo 1-Light Bath VanityFYI, I used 60 watt-equivalent (rather than the 100 watt allowed) and added a 50-watt in-ceiling light as well. I may eventually put them on a dimmer since it is perfect for make-up now, but a little bright for regular use.I took a couple photos so you could see what they look like in place, one with the lights on, one with them off. 5Good quality, great design and even better price. I see that a lot of people complain about the screw and the tight fit for your hand inside the glass. That only applies if you are installing with the glass hanging down. If you are installing as pictured with the glass up you don't need the screw on part. The glass nest safely inside the chrome base and you can easily lift it off to replace the blade after you unscrew the bulb. UPDATE: Lights are installed and on each of the fixtures, the round chrome base that the glass sits in was welded on slightly off level to the arm coming out.. One leans very slightly to the right and one very slightly to the left. 3
