    Felt a little loose in Thinkpad but worked great I was disappointed that the fit seemed a little loose in a Thinkpad T440s but the build quality feels great, and seems to be perfectly reliable. This is more than I can say for any of my perfect fit USB-C connectors for my MacBook Pro that often take two or three tries to actually work, so this is definitely a 5 star product. It has worked on the first try every single time. 5Works fine on my Surface Book Not much to say about an adapter cable. It either works or it doesn't. This one works fine on my Surface Book, taking the onboard mini-DisplayPort and outputting standard HDMI.I like that it's not too long. It really doesn't need to be, since the HDMI cable in conference rooms typically come plenty close enough, and I don't want another long cable in my computer bag.I did wrap some bright blue tape around it so that I can spot it in the bag. My only suggestion would be to make these in colors so they would be easier to find inside a dark bag. 5Simple Cable Gets The Job Done I bought this Mini Displayport to HDMI since I have a 2014 Macbook Air that I wanted to connect to the new screen that I recently bought. I didn't want the hassle of constantly unplugging a different HDMI cable from the monitor so I decided to get an adapter so I can just connect to that one HDMI cable. I have a PC for work and a Mac for home use so this works out pretty well.User Friendly/Design:The design is pretty simple and not too bulky. The part where it says "Cable Matters" appears to be plastic which is fine but doesn't seem to be the best quality. Not a big concern though. The adapter isn't too long so it doesn't take up too much space. You just plug in an existing HDMI cable into one end and plug in the Mini DP part into the Macbook Air. It is basically fool proof.Material:The wire itself for the adapter appears to be slightly thinner than most of the HDMI cables that I have bought. I like this because of the ability to stow away more easily. The plugs are gold plated which supposedly makes connection better. I haven't seen any difference since it has been working the way it should be. Only time will tell whether or not this adapter will hold up.This adapter is affordable, convenient, and easy to use. I am learning as I go....GTX690 video card has (in the computer)"mini display port" out and I absent mindedly bought mini display port to hdmi male cable and a 40' high end Sewell hdmi cable with 2 male ends, so then needed to buy a "cable Matters" Hdmi female to female connector. I noticed very small sparkles all over the screen when watching Netflix and Amazon streaming. As a comparison, I switched to the Blu ray player and watched the same Netflix movie and no sparkles. I suspected the female to female connector and purchased this cable to eliminate it.Sure enough, the sparkles were gone; again I'm no expert but this was my experience. 5It works great and good quality It came really fast and was affordable. It works great and good quality. So when you need an adapter from you r mid 201 MacBook Pro I highly recommend this device. Some offer it and it doesn't transmit audio. This gives you both video and audio signal and is available at an incredible price. 5Does NOT support 4K! Make sure you buy the right adapter for 4K - it only cost a couple of bucks more, but this one won't work with 4K. 4Works great on my Galaxy S9+ It works great to project videos and images from my Galaxy S9+ to any HDMI television input.
