(UPDATED Sept 6, 2017) 4+ Years And Still Working Perfectly, The Right Cable Can REALLY Matter My 4 year old Cable Matters USB A to Mini B cables are still working perfectly. I've had zero problems with frequent plugging/unplugging.In my IT practice I do a lot of disk cloning. I have long used the versatile Apricorn USB 2.0 to IDE/PATA/SATA Hard Drive Adapter for this. These are great little units and they come with a USB cable but I've had one work poorly out of the box and ultimately all failed before too long, often getting high error rates. I used these Cable Matters USB cables to replace the ones that came with the Apricorn unit.They also work for my Olympus DSLR camera's USB connection, so double-win!These cables are are very well made and have stood up to lots of plugging/unplugging over years. They have not failed or had any problems.The 10ft variation is often helpful if I am doing data recovery on a failing mechanical hard drive. I'll put the drive in my freezer with the adapter and USB/power cables running out the seal of a zip-lock bag. The USB and power cables go out through the seal on the freezer door to my computer. It's amazing how freezing a troubled drive can sometimes help recovering data!With years of positive experience with them I've come to trust the quality of Cable Matters cables. These USB cables have worked perfectly and dependability and that's everything for me with USB cables, I'm very pleased and giving this USB 2.0 A to Mini B 2-pack 5 stars. 5Works for PS3. Fits into a PS3 controller which is why I got it. Keep in mind that PS4 and the Xbox One use micro, not mini USB. 5Great cables at an affordable price Great cables at an affordable price. Shipping and packaging was great. I really like how durable / sturdy they feel. I also think the color coding could come in handy if I am using this for two different projects at the same time. However, for the moment I plan to use one as a backup. Hooked both of these up to my Nikon D80 in preparation for tethering them. Both worked great. I could access the SD Card as well as the camera itself to remotely control the shutter from my tethering software. I wish there was an option for a different color than black or white. Red or Yellow would be great so it would be seen by people if I drape the cable across the floor. 5High hopes were dashed Bought 6 packs of these for equipment in a lab. The length is great, the color coding really what I needed. 6 months later only 3 of the sets are still working. The wires inside the cables must be very thin because we barely ever unplug the cables from the equipment rack yet 50% of the cables don't carry a signal now. The connections are secure and there is no exterior damage to the cables. Lesson learned. 2They're mini USB cables. (Data & Power Transfer) These are some great budget cables, and although I only needed one, two is always great. They work as you'd expect any mini USB cables to work, and they work for both data transfer and power transfer. I haven't really tested how 'Hi-Speed' these cables are, but I'd certainly bet they're pretty high-speed for 15ft cables. With all this included, and for the price, you really can't go wrong here if you need it. 5CableMatters is a reliable distributor. I've been using products from CableMatters for years. They've always turned out a good product, in my estimation and nothing has changed.I needed a six-foot cable with Mini-B USB connectors and that's what they delivered.The covering seems a bit thinner than products I've recently seen under the AmazonBasics label, but that does seem like a big deal to me.The molded connectors look like they'll last for a long time and through many cycles. They also fit snugly.All in all, I feel that I've gotten my money's worth.Jerry 4Used for a 3D Printer Despite what many on the world wise web (sorry that was lame), these are quite stable. Got the 10 or 15ft set myself, cant remember which, but 0 failed communication errors over that length to it since I received it. Not a fan of using a memory card especially given where I placed it for printing. 5Work Perfectly Purchased these cables to run two dash cams off my cigarette lighter-to-dual USB type A adapter in my vehicle. While these cables have been largely set up and forget, I do often disconnect and reconnect my devices to these cables. I never had had any problems or reliability issues with them. These cables have worked perfectly from day one providing power to my devices every time I have used them. Not one problem.Inexpensive, very reliable. A great deal. Solid product. So much so that I just purchased two more USB cables from Cable Matters, albeit type A to micro B this time around. 5Perfect fit replacement cable for the Ducky Shine 4! Our dog chewed up the original USB cable to my Ducky Shine 4, so I had to search the house for something that would work until I could find a proper replacement. Unfortunately Ducky doesn't seem to have any such cables for sale on their own so I had to find a suitable replacement. This connector is just thin enough to fit perfectly snug into the DS4's USB port without bending out awkwardly or randomly popping out like other cables I've tried. My only gripe is it doesn't sit well inside the groove that's supposed to hold the rest of the cable, BUT the original DS4 cable didn't really do well at this either as there's nothing in the actual groove to actually keep anything in place. 5feels good quality but stiff and not very easy to route the cable inside car I bought the 15-ft cable to connect dash cam to the cigarette charger. the cable feels good quality and powers up the dash cam without any problem. the difficulty I encountered was routing the cable inside car. I tried to hide the cable as much as possible by routing it under carpet and A-pillar, but the cable is kind of still and thick that makes it difficult to bend and hide in a nicely and beautiful way, not sure if the thickness is a need due to the length. Anyway, overall speaking, it is a good cable and does what it should do. 4
