My left calf usually swells across the day and I recently developed a partial DVT in my thigh from surgery. Wear them daily. These are the best I have tried. 5My Husband Loves TheseMy husband has issues with swelling ankles, and his physician advised him to wear compression socks every day. These are just what the doctor ordered. Not only are they handsome (they don't look like therapeutic socks at all) but they work! And, they are comfortable.That's why we just placed a second order. Plus, they are very well priced. I researched many different versions of compression socks and was astounded by the high prices.A tip: wash them regularly, in the washing machine or by hand. But, line dry them to keep the compression fibers from wearing out too soon. 4Pretty good longevityPretty good longevity, and the look of the sock is dressy enough to wear under dress trousers with good shoes.The material is very thin and slippery. If you plan to use it in a boot or sneak you will need to add a medium weight cotton sock for cushion and less movement inside the shoe.The elastic is top quality and will survive many wearings and washings. 3Needed for ankle supportVERY TIGHT almost too tight. 3Excellent productReplacing old compression stockings from Jobst. At least as good as Jobst Relief and Jobst Medical Legwear for men, or even better. The Grey colour is a lot more handsome than the black Jobst stockings. ;-)I would say; an excellent choice for people (men) with varicose veins.Need to see if the quality, strength keeps up in time.Planning to purchase more when needed and hoping that there will be a blueish colour available then. 5dressy socksThey are lighter weight and look like regular dress socks. The compression is quite good and, for compression hose, they are not too difficult to get on and off and are pretty comfortable. I am about 6' tall and slender, and the mediums come up to just below the knee on me. 4my favorite knee high socks so fargood quality socks, durable, good compression, plenty of room for the toes, and not tight at the top.
