    Can t beat it for the price Great radio for the price 5Bad reception, low volume Installed in boat. FM reception was worst than the "dual" radio it replaced. Volume at max power setting was not as loud as previous radio at 75% volume. Both radios using RCA pre-amp outputs to a clarion amplifier. Removed after 2 weeks, installed a Kenwood. 1Great Replacement Radion in my 1991 Four Winns Runabout With a little modification to original face plate in my boat, this radio installed easily using the supplied bracing strap and following the wiring diagram.I added an external fiberglass antenna. I have very good reception of both AM and FM stations. The ability to set the equalizer to my tastes and conditions is a big plus, as is the remote control. I plan to use it primarily as a radio and not to use other features available, so I cannot comment on them.I am very satisfied with price and performance for my needs. 5Price isn t much lower than the KENWOOD. Worked great for a little over a month and won t turn on. No fuse issues, no reason it shouldn t work. Was inside of the protective case. I bought another one and it will come on but no sound! So I sent it back for repair! Went to Academy and got a kenwood for a few dollars more and it still works great! These radios look great but I guess they are of poor quality. I never write bad reviews but these things are junk 1great price etc At first this unit looked to be a heck of a bargain, lots of features, great price etc. The micro SD slot was cool, you can pack a lot of music on a 16GB card, plug it in and just let it play. BUT once I really tried to put this thing to use I had several annoying problems. First of all the amplifier section was horrible, Lots of distortion even at very low levels. The back of the unit would get Very hot and shutdown if trying to play at over 50% volume. (Driving a set of Polk 61/2 marine and Kicker 61/2" marine -both purchase at the same time as the deck) I had an amp on order so I was willing to let this go until I tried the amp, but then I noticed other problems. The Bluetooth would cut-out if my iPhone was more than 3-feet away, The display was impossible to see if not in a shade. The remote was a farce- you can access almost every menu option which was nice, but you had to get so close to the unit you may as well just use the buttons on the unit. I returned it as defective because I believe the amplifier section was bad. Really its too bad because just a little more attention to the engineering and this could be a real solid unit for the money. 2Waste of time I took the time to wire new speaker cable, new g and b+, worked great for a couple weeks. Then when engone was running only it would randomly: turn off, blast white noise through the speakers, freeze up on display, get really hot, wouldn't turn off.... wasted weekend (memorial day weekend) double checking wiring. My conclusion is an internal fault. Returned and bought a different one 1 You can t see anything on the displays screen and you can t make it brighter. You get what you paid for 1Great product and value Bought this product to replace the stereo in my boat. I have installed other stereos so although the installation instructions are lacking, I didn't have a problem. It took me about an hour to pull my old unit and install this one. Great sound. Easy connectivity. Fantastic price and value. Highly recommend it. 5Dont waste your time Yet another lemon of a radio bought off of amazon. It worked jjut long enough tomake it past 30 days. No water on it, and with a cover as well. I will not buy another boss product again. Prime what? 1but it sounds great and works perfectly Most marine radios are made on this scale, which I find difficult to operate, but it sounds great and works perfectly. Love the Bluetooth feature. Purchases a mountable waterproof case in which it resides and I highly recommend. Has removable face plate which is nice to remove when not in use. 4
