Awesome ProductI had purchased this for my boyfriend as a birthday gift and I have never seen anyone be so happy ! He mounted it on his Polaris Scrambler 850 and it was a perfect fit. The sound quality is amazing . It is loud enough as to where he was able to listen to it while driving his four wheeler.5Fix these issues and its great!!!Let me first say these are loud well built speakers ... But boss cut corners on some things i feel shouldnt happen .. first off where the plugs come out of the tube i was wrapping the wires around my handle bars and it came right out of the case that i thought they where sealed in with silicone (pics below) and the other was the cheap made lighter style power plug that fell apart on me and only had one screw and as i went in and out of plugging it in just fell apart on my second week... other then that wonderful sounding speakers and hope i can get a new set that isnt defective.3Poor design of bluetooth controller connectorThis is my first review ever, but after speaking with BOSS directly, felt compelled to warn people. I was very pleased with product at first use, but that was limited which is similar to other reviews I have been reading. I really think it is a very poor design of the connector to the controller for the bluetooth. The connector is a 6 pin that has to be connected in order for the speaker to function. The pins are very fragile and easily broken, which distorts the quality of music. Only after a couple uses, the pins broke and speaker no longer useful. Instead of offering spare parts, they require you to ship speaker back on customer's dime and then pay a $99 repair cost, which is more than 60% of a brand new speaker. Without improving the connector design, I am certain I will quickly run into the same problem and repeat the whole process. Just beware of this before purchasing!1Decent but1st off let me state that love the addition of this to my rancher makes riding so much more enjoyable. Okay for the review of the product itself the description is misleading at best. If you are some what familiar with sound systems and amperage you can definatly tell this is not 700 watts, maybe 350 400 tops. I have a 600 watt LG FH06 in my bed room that will blow this unit clean out of the water. Sounds great but not 700watts . And speaking of water i pulled my atv home in a light sprinkle not heavy nor long but when i unloaded the storage compartment let in water and the next day the led panel had condensation on the inside. I also replaced those half as straps that let the speaker slide and jump around with some rhino ratcheting straps, night and day difference. My last gripe is that i dont have a 12v outlet on my atv so i have to use the straight wire adapter included. iits great that they include it but there is a red light that stays on all the time while plugged that will drain your battery when not in use so i have to lift my seat everytime to plug and again to unplug when im done. I do plane to add a on off switch soon. The speaker dose sound great and has very long bluetooth connection 50 feet easy. Led's are very bright. Got mine for 248 shipped new so all and all i would purchase (at that price) again. I just know what to expect this time.4Awesome sounds system for a quad.When it works I love it. For some reason when I use my plow one of the speakers will cut out sometimes both. If I'm not using an accessories then it works great. Not sure if it's the power from the quad or the speakers fault for the issue. Over all I am happy with them.It comes with some cheap straps to tie it down but I needed more so it wouldn't bounce around. Wish it would have better strapping or a better way to mount to my quad but no big deal.I have it mounted on my front so it does block my light on my handle bars, so I may get more lights for my front.4I m really not impressed!!!!If I could give this 0 stars I would. This is the second boss speaker I have bought. The first one I did an exchange through amazon 3 times. It was absolutely awful. So first speaker I couldn t get it to turn in no matter what I tried. They sent me a replacement and it worked for literally in weekend and started having stick and distorted sound. I also realized at that point they actually sent the wrong speaker anyways. They sent me another. I gave it to a freind when I saw this speaker. I like the light . I thought since it was anew design Mandy they fixed the issues. So I ordered it. 3 times while I was working in my shop I hooked it up and it worked great didn t even ride the atv. I took it on one ride and could never get it to connect to blue tooth. I contacted boss this time and they sent me a new remote. It connects now but sound is very distorted. Really wish they would figure this out. Not a lot of options for speakers. I m about to buy components and build my own with quality parts.Anyway now boss wants me to send it back so they can fix it. I just want a speaker to listen to tunes while I ride trails1Junk! Only worked for 5 months! Not weather proof!Bought this for my girlfriend's 4wheeler as a christmas present used it for about 5 months and now it does not make any sound. Spent a little extra money for the one that was supposedly weather proof....its not!!!!! Rode in the rain with it one time as we got caught in a storm while out riding and now it doesn't make any sound! Always garage kept and removed to pressure wash and it's already junk. The only thing that boss audio could say is were afraid it got wet this unit is "weather resistant" not weather proof when the ad clearly says weather proof! Bunch of crooks!!!1YOU HAVE BEEN WARNEDDecided to buy this and ignore all of the warnings. The first 3 rides I was more than pleased with it. Nice sound, easy to use, and seemed durable. We took precautions because even though it says it's waterproof, its an electronic. We do a lot of riding through water, but never deep enough to even come close to the speaker. I've had this speaker for less than 6 months, can count on one hand how many times I've rode with it, and already it's not working. We had to rig it to keep power, the speakers now cut out and now even with the volume all the way up, my phone speaker is more effective. Really disappointed in this and it seems they trick you with words so unless you bought the warranty, it's not under warranty.1This boasts of a built in 450 watt amp. ...This boasts of a built in 450 watt amp. With the volume up to 100% and a fan on in my garage, I could not hear my music. Once I started the engine on my off road buggy, the sound was completely drowned out. I have returned it.1Take your time and they will shine! Great buy!Honest review! I have been paid nothing and rarely wrote these...however I bought these two years ago...Two years! Now I took the time to mount rubber bumpers on the rack and didn t simply bungee it down. I zip ties everything in neat and proper manner and they still work as good as they did day one...I have been through typhoons and that wicked deep mud...hosed them down over and over again...and they still work. I mounted them on the front facing me to prevent sticks and trees from poking a hole in them...point blank...if you take the time...and think about proper placement...and put some effort into it...these should last you a long time...and honestly at the price...I was happy with one year of good use...I just put my machine away for the winter and next year will be 4years if constant use...Hope this helps!5
