    Perfect replacement for 1979 vintage B&D Workmate pegs I have a 1979 vintage Black & Decker Workmate but, somehow, managed to lose all 4 pegs. I was afraid that I might have to throw out the Workmate if I could not jerry rig some replacement pegs. Fortunately these pegs worked perfectly and I am back in business. They are strong and sturdy and much better than the original equipment. 5Different than pictured, but better! Bigger version of what is pictured, but I think they are better. I included a picture so you can see what you will actually receive. 5There good. They fit a little tighter than they should ... There good. They fit a little tighter than they should and their dimensions are different than the original dogs that came with the ancient Workmate I inherited from my grandfather. The different dimensions only matter when you are using the two different types of bench dogs in a single line. Otherwise it doesn't matter. 4They are needed on any work table, though the ... They are needed on any work table, though the pegs here are the same diameter as the Black and Decker WorkMate's dog holes. They are not the same as the ones that came with your Workmate, though: these ones are a bit smaller and lighter gague plastic. Of course they still work. I knock the product a star, though, simply for the aesthetic of not matching the other four I own, which came with my table. That said, I only ever use four at a time, so ask yourself, if you bought a WorkMate already, Do you need four more dogs? 4The only other part you need for your bench, buy 2 sets, you'll want em I looked in stores for years for these and know I have them. The workmate and thesis make every project some much more relaxing. Now that I have mine I see that almost all hardware stores are carrying them these days. Wonder if I am any good at bringing good products back from the past. Love Band D product and will continue to purchase those items that others don't make. When you got a good thing don't change it. I was please with the pricing as well as delivery time and cost. If you have the bench then you need these.I recommend this product for all ages over 7 and under 110 years of age. With my bench, these clamps, a sawsall and belt sander. I can produce 1 complete rifle stock ready to be stained in less than a day. I even take mine camping for its better that a tailgate. tailgates are for sitting. 5will likely not get lost as easily as the originals Exactly what I needed for my 25+ year old WorkMate. These grip pegs (I never knew what they were called before) fit perfectly, are actually a little wider than the originals, and, being orange, will likely not get lost as easily as the originals. 5Perfect for the Festool MFT/3 I bought them as additional bench dogs for my Festool MFT/3 and they are an absolute perfect fit. I did have to snap off the the bottom plastic piece of each one to make it happen but it's extremely easy to do with a pair of pliers. 5Perfect Fit for My Workmate 550 I have an older model Black & Decker Workmate 550, which was probably the best model they ever made, and was hesitant to purchase these at first, not knowing if they would be compatible with the 550, which I cherish and use every chance I get. Fortunately, it appears that B&D has maintained the same hole size over the years for their bench dog holes. These snapped perfectly into my Workmate 550, which is still as new today as it was when I bought it many years ago (I take great care of my tools, and always covered it if I was doing anything on it, which might mar the surface, since it has grid lines on it).At any rate, if you have any model of Workmate, it is going to have 3/4" diameter accessory holes, which these fit.. 5Great Idea. Be aware that at least one vendor is sending out a different model of Black and Decker workmate bench dog.I love the workmate and all the stuff that goes with them. I own several of those wonderful tools, and recommend them to all young people building their first toolkit.I wanted an extra set of these bench dogs for one of my 225s, but what I got were the larger dogs used on the 425.They will work just fine, but I really wanted the smaller footprint of the smaller dogs. The dogs pictured here are very tough and work very well to grip odd shaped work pieces. The bench dogs are not indestructible, but you have to work hard to ruin them.The larger dogs work just as well, are just as well made, but take up more room.[EDIT 5/18/18] Genuine Black and Decker bench dogs are fully compatible with all models of Black and Decker Workmate, with the exception of the little workmate/toolbox they no longer manufature which cannot store the larger dogs in the space provided (they fit the holes in the vise jaws though). Third party bench dogs or "workmate-like" tools may be perfectly fit-for-purpose but shouldn't be assumed to be compatible with B&D tools and spares. Ditto 3d-printed bench dogs. Caveat Emptor. [/EDIT] 4Better than original? I lost my original ones somewhere along the line and missed them! Then I found these and decided to get them as they REALLY help to hold work in place. I seem to recall that the original ones were narrower, but I really like having these again. They make my Workmate work for me again. 5
