Absolute Junk. Read Review The Beam - WEAK is a compliment - it is too wide to be effective and when you "zoom" it in it becomes a waffled square and becomes imbalanced to be able to really see anything in any darkness. The Body of the Flashlight is nice and the ONLY redeeming quality of this productI tried this light in my garage and found is useless, went into my basement and found it useless. Went to shine it through a window into my back yard and actually laughed at how useless it is.I compared this to a FENIX light I have (yes it is far more expensive but the lumen rating is the same and the Fenix kicked the living %^&$ out of this light in every test I gave it - I returned these two and ended up buying the Fenix because cheap is just that CHEAP and when you need a light a bright one is the best to have when it might be pitch black 1ANOTHER FALSE/FRAUDULENT ADVERTISER/SELLER when is Amazon going to discontinue selling junk from overseas and start disallowing the sellers that falsely advertise their products to continue selling after a multitude of reviews stating same? The ORIGINAL advertisement states this flashlight is 2500 Lumen. It also states 2,500 Lumen on the packaging arrived in. It isn't even close to that. MAYBE several hundred but nowhere near 2,500. I was playing around with the end cap button (on/off switch) and the flashlight started "strobing" and after playing around with it some more it started flashing the international SOS pattern. There were no instructions whatsoever with this light and no way to figure out exactly to get it to go into the various modes; if it is even designed to. I tried to duplicate the presses of the button to make it start strobing but there was no discernible pattern, sometimes it would strobe and sometimes nothing, and I never got it to flash SOS again. Don't waste your money on this junk 1Incredible Durability Disclaimer: This is not a paid advertisement.I would highly recommend this flashlight. It has three different modes (normal, strobe, and faster strobe). The beam size is also adjustable, from a normal beam size to a little smaller than an inch. But that s not what I m here to talk about. I would like to applaud the manufacturer on the incredible durability of this flashlight. We ran numerous tests, and it survived almost all of them. I ve included before and after photos.1. It was dropped from a distance of about 10ft onto concrete. We picked it up and tried it, still worked perfectly. This test was repeated again with the same results.2. The flashlight placed right next to the wheel of a truck and the truck was backed over it. However, the pavement wasn t full concrete, it was partly gravel. The flashlight survived this test, again working perfectly.3. It was thrown from a distance of about 20ft, from a structure about 20ft high. It still worked, although it was starting to look a little scratched up.4. It was submerged in water and held there for about 10-20 seconds. It was then taken out and tested. It still functioned. The lens was slightly fogged up, but the lens is removable so it was easy enough to clean.5. After that it was repeatedly thrown against concrete. It temporarily stopped working, but we were able to get it to turn on again by shaking it a little.6. It was then thrown against a tree 10 times before it stopped working permanently. Upon inspection, it seemed that a part near the battery had come loose.Overall, this is a worthwhile purchase, especially for only $10. 5Complete garbage don't waste your money Under $7.00 should have been a clue... Would not even work once, after 30 minutes of fighting with it I pitched it straight in the trash.Complete garbage don't waste your money, time or sanity with this crap! 1Good flashlights, Exact specs may vary, Budget price, Thumbs up I ordered one of these. and it was pretty bright. So I ordered another one, which was also bright, but it seems to be a slightly different design. They are both telescoping, but one telescopes a lot further. Also, the first one I ordered has a simple tailcap switch, that goes on and off, and the second one I ordered has a three mode tailcap switch, that goes: On-Bright / Off / On-Less Bright / Off / On-Strobe / Off. It's nice to have the strobe, but having to cycle through the modes whenever you want to turn it on is a pain. Both flashlights are well worth the $5-6 dollars that I paid, but they aren't all the same, so you might have some variance between orders. I'm satisfied with both lights, and I'll probably order more to keep in different spots. If you really are looking for a specific light, with known features and a quality guarantee, stop ordering the cheapest lights you can find. If you're just looking for a bright light at a rock bottom price, this will definitely work. These are the brightest flashlights I've seen around this price point. Note: I've only used these with the 3 AAA batteries and the battery carriage, but this light can apparently take 18650s. 5NOT 2500 but LESS THAN 1000 lumens. At its best, the Cree XM-L T6 LED produces <1000 lumens, NOT the 2500 lumens described. The maximum power usage for this LED is about 10W (3.3V x 3A=10W) which could generate 910-980 lumens. Also FYI, this means that you will have less than 1 hour of use with the 2800mAh battery supplied because the LED uses 3000mA. For those interested, the Cree T6 is a Cool White LED that is rated @ 5-8K with a CRI of 65. 1One Star The button broke immediately 1not recommended Button broke first 10 mins of use. 1Not the same product as a year ago Disappointed... I bought two of these lights a year ago, and I love them. I pressed "Buy it again" and ordered two more recently. The new ones are not nearly as bright, the case is lighter weight and shorter than before, and they just don't have the same quality feel as the older ones. Zooming wide to illuminate a wall 15 feet away, the newer unit is a lot less bright than the older one; zooming narrow as possible to focus on an object 100 feet away, the newer one is dimmer and will not focus as tightly as the older one. They are still "ok, a pretty good flashlight" so I think I'll keep them, but they are not nearly as good as the two I bought a year ago. "Buy it again" definitely brought me an inferior substitute instead of the same item. Like I said...disappointed. 2Not 2500 Lumens, maybe 250. Many identical to this are counterfeit. False advertising is enough for me to recommend NOT buying! They simply are NOT 2500 lumens! They are in the low hundreds for lumens. There is no consistency in the brightness from flashlight to flashlight which shows they are poor quality. IDENTICAL flashlights to this one are advertised here at a wide range of lumens and those that are said to be ultrafire are simply counterfeit knockoffs without the quality or bright light. Ultrafire does not even make this style flashlight at anything over a few hundred lumens. You take your chances buying these, you could get good or bad or usable but you will NEVER get 2500 lumens or anything even near 900 lumens so they are falsely advertising, which in my book is fraud, even if they are not counterfeit! Both flashlights in the photos are counterfeit. 1
