I like em, but it wasn't what was listed I like em, but it wasn't what was listed. I thought I bought the wrong thing and did not realize I did buy 18650 flashlights and got AA flashlights. These are tiny flashlights that use a single AA battery, not 18650's. A single AA battery drops in like a hotdog down a hallway but fits the length. Sometimes the flashlight has to be beaten in order for the lamp to kick on. Probably because the button top of the battery doesn't hit the contact pad on center very well. Only good thing about the oversized battery chamber is if you lose one and a AA battery leaks or expands, the battery still comes out unlike AA maglites.RE: pictures, 18650 resting on top of the open battery compartment, AA to the side for size comparison. Second pictures, AA inside the battery chamber, lots of wiggle room. 3Good flashlight with a few flaws First of all, I received the SK98 that uses the 18650 LiIon battery, and this is in late December 2016. Some have reported receiving AA battery versions but I did not. I use mine with EBL 18650 LiIon batteries that gives me about 5-6 hours runtime.Size is pretty good. I can tuck this in my purse and it's right at home. The clip is nice and sturdy. The focus is nice and brightness is pretty good. The long distance end of the zoom shows the LED chip but that seems average for these lights. It compared favorably and in my opinion a bit brighter than my friend's streamlight, but his was an older version that uses a NiCd battery pack.It has three on modes - full, dim, strobe. Unlike some of the Duracell Costco flashlights this has an actual hardware button rather than a soft button which has a phantom drain on the battery. So you can leave a battery in the flashlight indefinitely and it will not drain apart from self discharge.The flaws -It gets pretty hot with extended use. Almost too hot to the touch. I can still hold it but it gets uncomfortable with bare hands.It nicks and scratches pretty easily. Self explanatory.Each click of the button will change the mode. It goes - bright-off-dim-off-strobe-off with no option to turn off the strobe feature. So this means you turn it off and next time you turn it on it could be in strobe mode. I don't need nor want strobe mode (probably only useful for bicycle riding or home defense and I already have a weapon mounted light).Other than those things it's pretty good. 4Fail. I bought a two pack - good price - no batteries included. Bought through markets a la Saturn. I already had good 18650 batteries that get cycled through my other flashlights. Figured I'd drop a battery in and be good to go. Nope. Seems like their switches are to blame (IMO). I don't understand what happened to good old-fashioned flashlights...one mode...I don't need 5 modes...just ONE --> _ON_. 1Decent flashlight for everyday use I bought these because I had two 18650 batteries that I had that were not in use. I figured why not buy these which support it. So this is a two pack, but immediately I noticed one flashlight was brighter than the other, which lead me to believe that neither of these were the advertised 1200 lumens. It is still a great flashlight for everyday use. Now this doesn't come with a sleeve for the 18650 battery like some others do. I didn't think i needed it since it said it was designed for the 18650. However if the shake the flashlight you can hear it rattle around in there, but you can kind of always feel it with normal use. The clip that comes with this light is not as durable as I wanted it to be. One already bend all the way back when it got stuck on something. I was able to press it down, but if it happens again it will defiantly rip off. The last issue is the 3 settings. I never use emergency setting, because I've had no emergencies. The low brightness is too low, and the high brightness is what most people are going to be using. Now if you use high brightness and turn it off you have to cycle through the other two modes to get back to high brightness and hope you don't accidentally press it one more time otherwise you cycle through it again. 3Not Ultrafire and not Cree T6 LED Both are fake Utrafire SK98s. I disassembled both flashlights and examined the LEDs. The LEDs in these two flashlights are about 80% the size of an actual Cree T6 LED. Using the same battery in these flashlights and a real Utrafire flashlight, these are noticeably less bright than the real Ultrafire. Also, the Ultrafire logo on them lack the registration trade mark. I still gave them two stars and would have given them 4 stars if they had just presented them as what ever they really are. For 5 dollars each, they are nice flashlights with nice features and although they are not as bright as a real Cree T6 LED, they are still brighter than most flashlights for their size. I am going to keep them. 2Inject steroids to adjust The flashlights are very bright and one ran on low power for about 7 hours using a cheap 3000 mAH batter and over 8 hours on a higher quality 3600 mAH battery. So, what's not to like? They do not stand up on their end well due to the rubber button protruding just slightly - you can actually cycle through the modes by pushing it down on a table. The flash mode seems pretty gimmicky. It would be better to have a very low mode. So I took a point off for all that. But the biggest negative is the zoom. At first I thought it didn't have one, contrary to the description. But then I pulled hard on the lens body and sure enough, it zooms. But it was hard enough to be beyond annoying.. The second unit was extremely tight. Enough that I (a man with pretty good arm strength) have too struggle to adjust it. I think a lot of women would have difficulty adjusting it with bare hands, it is that tight. So three stars is all I can give it. If you never want to stand it on end and seldom want to zoom it, it might be a good buy. If zoom is important to you, you should keep shopping. 3No batteries fit the one i got. Seller Lady World is shipping SK68 instead of the sk98 that is advertised. They take an AA batte You would think that an 18650 battery made by UltraFire would fit it. I tried three different batteries. All three 18650s are the same size and none would fit. 1I think I got real ones Purchased from the seller "Wilderness lighting" (FBA).The flashlight is very nice for its price and outputs blinding light. It does not show any signs of being fake (LED looks like a true CREE component). I have doubts about the 1200lm claim, as even the genuine CREE LEDs don't get that bright in a single module. I would believe a claim of about 500lm at the highest brightness setting. The metal feels nice and has some weight to it, and unscrewing the battery or lens feels smooth.The 18650 battery is also great to have, although you will not be able to run to the store to buy a battery if you have none charged when you need it. I picked up an Ultrafire 3000mAh battery and charger set which I'll review separately, but the pair I received are definitely built to take the 18650s. This is my first foray into using 18650 cells as a power source instead of alkalines or Ni-MH, and I hope to see Li-Ion become a standard in more portable electronics.This strikes a good balance of "cheap" and "not too cheap" like the $1-4 knockoffs you see in the wild that are bound to disappoint you. It's also good to have A-to-Z in case you get a fake, but the one I got looks pretty real. 4Great Flashlights at a Fraction of the Cost After incerting the battery one of the flashlights started to smell funny. Amazon credited my order and replaced them quickly These little flashlights are one of the best values around, if you don't mind using less traditional batteries and not afraid of Lithium Ion batteries, I fully recommend them.I own many expensive flashlights and try to keep up with this fascinating technology.Last week we took them to the beach and my grandchildren had a blast looking for ghost crabs.They basically obliterated every other flashlight on the beach. I don't know exactly how many Lumens they put out, but comparing to my others flashlights, like Nitecore, Olight, Fenix, Zebra and Astrolux, this thing is very bright at a fraction of the cost! Just remember to order the right kind of batteries. 4Check carefully which you are buying! Looks like Amazon has two different flashlights grouped together. The two-pack and five-pack are small flashlights and DO NOT use 18650 batteries. I purchased the two-pack. These are identical (except for the brand name) to the 300 lumen flashlights I bought two years ago. They use the 14500 battery or AA battery. They are nice enough and cheap enough that I'll keep them instead of going through the hassle of returning them. Now I still need to find a higher lumen flashlight that will use the 18650 batteries I purchased for these. 1
