Description
- This cooling system is designed to be mounted in your enclosed equipment cabinet, home theater cabinet or computer desk. It will quietly exhaust the hot air outside, or pull cooling air into the cabinet -- you choose how it is set up. It has 2 high-quality, low-noise 80mm fans mounted together into a single housing.
- The system has a 12 volt trigger control module, which turns the fans on and off, by monitoring your receiver's 12v trigger socket. This module sends power from the multi-voltage transformer (included in the system), which runs the fans.
- IMPORTANT: Some receivers have a non-standard setup, where the receiver doesn't directly control the trigger (for example, the trigger might be under the control of Zones 2 or 3, etc.). Please consult your receiver's manual for details about how its 12v trigger operates, or contact me if you have questions.
- The 80mm dual-fan cabinet cooling unit measures approximately 4-5/8" high x 8" wide, which includes the mounting plate. The required mounting hole is approximately 3-1/4" high x 6-5/8" wide. The unit is 1-1/4" thick behind the mounting plate, and only requires about 1/3" additional space behind the back of the fan to allow for airflow.
- At full speed, the 80mm dual-fan unit is rated at 22db, while moving 62 cubic feet of air per minute. It has approximately these specs at different speeds: 1/2 speed = 32CFM at 13db, 2/3 speed = 41CFM at 16db , and 3/4 speed = 46CFM at 19db (approximate). With cabinet cooling, slow (and quiet) are the way to go!
