Technical issues, but SuperE LLC was horribleHaving trouble with the router. Trying to return. SuperE, LLC was horrible in shipping product. SuperE, LLC and Amazon would not accept the product back after 30 days for an exchange. It took me longer than that to determine the issue was with the router and not something on my end.1Did not meet live up to expectationsI bought this router after reading consumer reviews and the makers advertised advantages and features. This was supposed to be a router that could cover a large house...our house is small to medium in sized single level and we still have issues with getting good continuous WiFi to the other side. Really disappointed that for the money spent on this router that I still have to use a signal booster.2Not very impressiveThis item ,as with so many others, thinks the more complicated it is the neater it is. When you set it up you are prompted to change the password, not sure why it will never remember it. Any time I need to use the interface I have to use the reset button. It is hard to get a consistant signal from it. Streaming a whole movie or TV show is near impossible. Might be a good unit if you work in IT and do not mind setting it up almost any time you use it. I am of the old school when you bought something and it worked. Not impressed with being requred to pay for the game boost that was in the description.1Better then the $1000 Barracuda router at my officeI have had this router for nearly 2 years, (RT-AC88U) and it is still very very good. We have 16 ip cameras doorbells thermostats, media servers, USB LTE dongle as a backup to the primary cable connection (Pantech UML295 Verizon), etc. On average 40 devices connected at a time and it handles it all without slow down. It isn't perfect... I hate this new AiMesh in the new firmware. Just don't need it, and still have to look at it. And when the cable connection fails and it falls to LTE it wont switch back to cable without a restart. Really wish ASUS would fix this with a update. Still seams to be more stable then the $1000 barracuda at my office so I think it is Worth the money.Only other grip would be if I decide to use the app to ground my kids, and kill there connection, it resets there time schedule programmed. Have to then log in to set the time they can connect back up or restore them in the app and they wont have there connection killed automatically at bedtime. Minor stuff that can be fixed with firmware update. Still recommend it.5Five StarsDocumentation was clear and complete and it works fine.5Great routerThe turn speed is slow5This is virtually plug & play unit. Very easy to set up and use its featuresGreat signal strength even at long distances. Five bars all over my house and property and beyond. Great user interface and easy to program.5WISH I COULD HAVE GIVEN 10 STARSBest damn wireless router anywhere. Great signal strength. Wireless works from neighbors house across the street better than his router in his home.5I Now Have Speedy and Reliable WIFI!No problems with WIFI now. Even though I am limited in where I could place this router, it seems to give us excellent coverage and speed. I have cameras, doorbell, thermostats, tablets, computers and security system running through this router. It is worth the money!5Really Good RouterThe BAD Reviews for the Router seem to be from People who Have Not Even Tried the Router or they Hate Asus. I have the ac-3100 and this one. This one has Software Changes inside do to it Being More Up to date then the AC-3100. Also the AC-3100 has 4 Lan Ports on it that are Gigabit Speed. This one Has 8 Lan Ports that are also Gigabit Speed. The Wire Less Range was actually Better than AC-3100 Model. It took me only 25 Minutes from Opening the Box to having it working Excellently after Setting it Up. So it is a Great Router. It may have a Higher Price than Most. But for what you get it was worth it for me.5
