Customer Reviews

Will Work but not the best Not the Best Item with sharp edges.Cheap and it works as a knee board so i will use itPen Holder not that useful if you have click pen with rubber grip 4A great tool for the VFR pilot For many years, I relied on a notepad to keep track of ATIS information, tower frequencies, altimeter settings, and the many other info-points a VFR pilot must know during a flight. But the pads kept getting lost and it was tough to scribble on them while balancing them on my knee. This kneeboard straps to my leg, providing a stable writing surface that allows me to be more organized so I spend less time fumbling for my notes and more time flying the plane. 4very good Great kneeboard. All new pilots should have one, really. I spent my whole training as a student pilot without this, and balancing my small notebook on one leg with my map on top of everything wasn't easy. I was constantly losing crucial things and embarrassing myself. Now that I made it past all that, I'm excited to go on cross countries and test out my new system with this kneeboard. Its nothing terribly fancy, a metal clipboard with a strap on it. I was laughed at when I excitedly sat down on my coffee table and strapped it to my leg, but what do they know? Buy this kneeboard! Good quality, good information printed in an organized format, and most importantly, awesome price. 5Good low-cost option for all pilots! I've used this kneeboard for more than 80 hours of flying time at this point, and it's great. I bought it during my primary training and have used it since. Elastic holds up nicely, velcro is strong. Not much else to it! I like that I can hold a pen under the clamp or in the loop of the elastic strap. The information printed on it is great to have handy when you need it. 5Caution! Sharp edges! This kneeboard is very cheaply made. The die cut/punch process leaves a very sharp burr on the back edges. I cut myself pretty bad within 5 minutes of having it out of the packaging. I used a knife honing steel (the long steel rod included with most knife sets) to file off the burrs to make it safe to use. The strap is cheap and way too long. I have big thighs but my wife still had to modify the strap for a snug fit. The pen holder is just a sewn loop in the strap that started coming loose almost immediately. Wife fixed that too. You really get what you pay for on this kneeboard... 1New pilot training The knee board was for a young lady who is becoming a new pilot at our local airport. My husband is her instructor and she is now in flight school doing very well and will soon be on her own flying. Thank yo 5Poor Quality I really like the sleek design of this board, however, I've only used it three times and the velcro is coming off of the strap.Frustrated that the return window has closed already. There are plenty of other boards out there. I would recommend checking out other more durable ones before purchasing this one. 1The information isn't very helpful The kneeboard works fine, the velcro is fine. The information printed on it could be a lot more helpful though. VFR cloud clearance numbers are one of the hardest things for people to memorize and the ones printed on here are really not helpful at all. I can't imagine what anyone would use the Flight Plan section for and the equipment suffixes aren't something you need to have handy in-flight so the space used for both of those sections could be used for information that you need to access quickly. 3... and the unfinished aluminum edges will scratch stuff - like the screen on my Yaesu for instance Board is too basic and the unfinished aluminum edges will scratch stuff - like the screen on my Yaesu for instance :( I ended up buying the Sporty's binder and gave this to my esteemed co-pilot. 2Nothing fancy but it works just fine. It is a cheap, light weight, clip board with an elastic strap. Just what I wanted. Nothing too fancy but perfect for tossing around the cockpit. If you are looking for something fancy to show off to your friends, this is not it. If you want something light weight and durable to toss around in the airplane this is it. 4
