Great value Great little device we got in a pinch for a trip we did not feel like humping the laptop on. There are some small limitations on the keyboard, like no escape key (that I could find at least), but its well built, battery lasts a long time and truly becomes the cover to the ipad. It hooked up to bt quite easily and I've had no problems. I haven't had it long enough to comment on the battery life. Note - it is just a keyboard. When you close it, the back of your mini will be the top of the package, so there is nothing really protecting the ipad min original case. 5I don't love it, I don't hate it. I like the size of it, but that's the best thing I can say about it. The keys are clunky, I have to be deliberate with the space bar or spaces get omitted. The clips that hold the iPad are not substantial so the device frequently comes detached. The absolute worst thing is the fact that several keys are not where they belong. To use an apostrophe, I need to hold down the function key and hit the letter O. The enter key is where the quotation mark/apostrophe should be so lately I've sent a lot of incomplete text messages. The question mark is also nowhere near where it belongs which makes typing on this device very trying. I have already bought a new keyboard that I like much more. 2Therefore it died super fast. UPDATE I purchased this a week ago and from the start it didn't charge properly. I used the cord that was included but the charging light kept turning off even though it wasn't completely charged. I also tried another mini USB cable, same thing. Therefore it died super fast.UPDATE:Seller replied to my request to return item due to charging issue. They sent me a replacement keyboard immediately and it is working very well. Thanks for the prompt customer service! 5Mini Productivity Powerhouse I just started using it today. I just got an iPad for work today, and I bought this keyboard to go with it. I absolutely love it! It turns my iPad into a mini laptop perfect for work and play. The IT guy that sent up my iPad for me was impressed with the keyboard also. He has the iPad Pro, and he says this keyboard it a lot clicker which we both prefer. And, he admitted that this little mini is a lot easier to carry around to meetings and other appointments.I downloaded the Microsoft Office suite on my iPad, and this keyboard makes it so much easier to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on my iPad. 5Shouldn t have gone for the less expensive-but the sell in great and responsive I ve had this since April, it is now only the middle of June.. The rubber that is suppose to hold the ipad in are moving out which eventually they will come off. It isn t a bad product just made wrong. Keyboard works fine despite what others said, but i will be shopping for a new cover soon. I would not recommend the cover for someone that uses their ipad all the time.------------A pleasant surprise my Ipad case is being replaced. All of the keys worked great and it was very responsive using them with no lag. Connecting the keyboard to my iPad was easy and simple (watch video to sew how to connect). When the device is connected the power button doesn't stay lit on the keyboard like I thought it would, but that's not a big deal. Just remember to turn it off (due to it not being lit you might forget like I did). They offered me a free set of earbuds to compensate me for the problems. At least that is what I thought. I was happy with the customer service until today when I received another email asking me why I hadn't updated my review. It is evident to me that the earphones (they fell apart when I tried to get them out of the package) were an attempt to get me to change my review of the keyboard, and not to compensate me.Buyer beware with this seller.I really wanted to like this keyboard but there are some glaring issues. I wasn't expecting much for the price but I was disappointed nonetheless. The main problem is the keyboard is it response. It is slow to respond to typing, which at this price point is not surprising. But along with the poor response goes the keyboards anoyying habit of putting periods and starting new sentences without me hitting those keys. I'll be typing and in mid sentence the keyboard will insert a period and start a new sentence. Sometime it will happen multiple times in the same sentence that I am typing. It also has a hard time with putting other punctuation. I press "Fn" and the quote (") key and I get a "p" instead. I have to hold the "Fn" key for several seconds before I am able to get the (") key to function. That happens with most (Fn) enabled punctuation. Maybe I got a bad one, I hope I did because it's a cool concept and I really wanted it to be a good addition to my iPad. 2
