Price Great, Build Great, Colors - Not So MuchI have bought several of these replacement bands. And I am impressed with the build-price combo.These bands are well-made and feel great on the wrist; every bit as good as the OEM Garmin bands are. And at $13.99 (Amazon price at the time of this review) they're nicely priced.Not at all thrilled, however, with the richness of the colors and after several I'm considering just going back to basic black and staying with it. Why?Because the non-black colors are just flat. There's no pop, no depth, no richness. Just pale versions of the product page photos.So while I feel like the color issue really makes this a "3-star" item, the quality of the band and the price of the band is nice/high enough to boost it to a "high 3" rating. And when this happens I give the benefit of the doubt and round up. So....4 stars.4Slightly more green than the OEM strap.I have several Ancool straps for my Fenix 5 and love them. They do feel a little softer than the OEM straps. I was hoping the OEM amp strap would have a little more green in it, but it is definitely more yellow compared to this strap having a little more lime in it. Here's a comparison of the two - Ancool on the left and OEM on the right. And as an aside, the Amazon picture makes the strap look like it's textured with an inverted pattery to the regular OEM strap (which is partially why I bought it - I thought it would have a different look) but it's exactly the same pattern.5Quick release breaks and you will loose your watchYo get what you pay, looks ok but with the time metal pieces begin to build some rust.Quick release plastic are poor quality and evenutually breaks and you will loose you $500 watch.I lost it in the ocean while swimming and was not able to find the watch.1Happy to see a more substantial buckleI have 2 of these bands, one came with the watch when I bought it from someone used. I was very nervous about the prospects of losing the watch due to the TINY piece of metal holding the clasp in. It is just a friction fit post and is a fraction of the diameter of the Garmin branded bands. I don't understand why Garmin is making the price point so high with their bands since they are not anything fancy, just a silicone band. I just cant justify $50 for it.I had been looking for some replacements but they all seem to have the lightweight clasp design which I am not a fan of. I noticed they have changed the clasp post on this band to a Garmin copy, screw together style, that is much larger, but its currently only available with the black band. I assume the intention is to offer the other colors with that style clasp in the future so I will probably buy more, especially with the reasonable price point.5these things are awesome. I ordered 3 different colorsWow, I have to say that I am very impressed..I waited for a while to see what others have said from the reviews, I decided to take the chance. I really thought that these straps would be cheap and not very durable. I was wrong, these things are awesome. I ordered 3 different colors, I have 3 others that I paid $49 which are the original Garmin straps. All I can say is that Garmin is in trouble once everyone finds out about the quality of these straps for less than half the price. I will definitely get other colors and will not buy Garmin straps for the $49 dollars, complete rip off . I only got the others because these from Amazon were not out yet.These are a bit softer and much more comfortable than the original.The Easy Fit is just like the Garmin as far as fit and ease of use.The size is perfect for the Fenix 5When I put them next to the original Garmin straps, even I can't tell the difference.I highly recommend these to anyone who is looking to give the Fenix 5 a different look. I have been asked so many times if I have a new watch on, These straps really make it easy to change for whatever the mood or whatever the occasion is.I got them in two day's after ordering, thank you..5AnCOOL what a nice 3rd party Fenix 5 bandPleasantly surprised with this Ancool Fenix 5 band. I got this band for a run event coming up and I wanted to rep my team colors.It is very close to the original Garmin Quickfit band at a fraction of the price ($15.99). It has similar markings and mold as original, even the black clasp looks similar. I was tempted to purchase this item on a popular auction site but after reading the negative reviews of the sellers and extremely long ship times, I decided to order here. I ordered this on a Saturday and received it on a Monday! Worth the extra I paid.Material has a soft velvety feel to it BUT the flexibility is the same as the original. It snaps on securely and doesn't feel it will come off or come loose.Upon close inspection here are some differences to note:The two loop fasteners aren't beveled like original but rounded but it does include that nub on the outer one.The clasp on original has a torx screw while the Ancool does not, its smooth no screwsThe screws on the Quickfit system on original look to be torx and the Ancool version is philipsThe textured surface on the Ancool feels more pronounced but looks-wise they're near the sameI recommend this item if you're looking for something pretty darn close to the original. I plan on buying a few more colors. Only time will tell how it holds up. I'll update review accordingly.5You get what you pay forIt's a band. It's cheap. Mine broke literary two days after I got it, while I was packing my backpack. Luckily, I noticed in time that my watch is loose, so it didn't fall or anything. But it was all over the place - the little spring bar I found soon under the couch, the pin was still on the band, and the metal clasp I found an hour later in my pocket (see the picture). Ok, so I am pretty tough on watch (that's why I got sapphire version), but I've been wearing watches for most of my life and I don't recall the last time I saw something like this.This was an excellent lesson in the fact that you get what you pay for, thank you very much ANCOOL. I guess there is a reason why the original uses torx screws instead of spring bar. I put mine back together and will wear it around the house. I would not ever trust this enough to use it outdoors - I don't want to be searching for my $700 watch in the fields of green next time this thing does the falling apart trick. I also have no intention of ever buying this again - I will swallow my pride and buy the overpriced original next time.2Feels great, looks great, and functions well!The stock Forerunner 935 band has a retaining band with a nub in it, which invariably locks into the strap. This makes (for me, at least) for excessive effort to remove the watch from my wrist. Enter the ANCOOL silicone replacement strap. Not only is there no nub in the (two) retaining bands, the strap feels GREAT against my skin, compared to the feel of the stock strap. Further, I have a little more play in where to cinch the buckle vs. the stock strap, which allows for comfortable tightness choices. Bonus feature has to be the Easy-Fit support (using the stock strap mounting rods). In addition to the black, I bought a yellow/green band to complement my running motif; swapping bands is a breeze.5So highly recommend this, as opposed to the $49 Garmin strapBeing so new I bought with no amazon reviews. For anyone else looking, this was almost indistinguishable from the Garmin black and neon green that came with the watch. I would not notice if someone swapped it out with the original Garmin ones. So highly recommend this, as opposed to the $49 Garmin strap, they are pretty much exactly the same! I hope someone makes some nice leather and metal ones for a lower price then Garmin in the near future.5Broke in a weekOne of the 2 rings that hold the excess band down tore in half within the first week. The company refused to respond so they clearly don't care or stand behind their crap.1
