    Works great and such a space saverThis was perfect for a recent trip to the UK and Europe. Having multiple outlets on the cube was a major space saver and could manage all of the essentials for 2 people such a 2 cell phones, 2 iPads, my flat iron, etc and with only using 1 outlet. I didn't notice it running hot and everything we plugged into it worked just fine. We might buy a second one so we can have things plugged in 2 spaces next time, but zero complaints.5EXPLODING ADAPTER = DO NOT BUY!!!EXPLODING ADAPTER = DO NOT BUY!!!There are so many other options out there, I recommend you go with any other adapter but this one.The adapter I bought for our family trip to Europe, exploded when I plugged it into the outlet in our first hotel. I thought maybe there was an issue with the outlet, so I tried a second outlet and it exploded again. I had to buy another adapter in London, which was easy enough. I emailed photos of the black charred adapter to the company, expecting an immeditate appology and refund - no applology or refund was forthcoming. Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever experienced, and the product exploded - so overall, I recommend you AVOID.1Great idea; now if only all 4 sockets would work...Great idea; questionable build / assembly quality. First cube had only three out of four outlets functional; there was no way in insert a plug into the fourth one. The cube was returned and a replacement sent out by Amazon. Replacement unit has the same problem, with the same socket being broken. Seems like an issue with assembly or construction. Decided to keep the unit as it still is useful even with only there operational sockets. Plus, there is no guarantee a replacement would work any better.3*updated* Incorrect Wiring - Caution - also*Update*I received a replacement with correct wiring 3 weeks after I informed them of the problem. The number on the defective unit is BN6041-14CF and the number on the correct unit is BN6051-18QX. The defective unit has two lights on the left on the receptacle tester whereas the correct unit has two lights on the right. (Refer to the legend on the receptacle tester). The fix by Powercube was to swap where the brown and blue wires connect to the receptacle assembly from the IEC connector.I appreciate the customer service in replacing the defective unit. To bring greater awareness of this issue, however, I will keep the review at 2-stars until Powercube posts information in the item description regarding which units are affected by this defect so consumers that don't have a receptacle tester can be informed.*Original Review*As posted by another reviewer, my unit also is reversed wired on line and neutral. This can be tested using a $7 standard receptacle tester from your local hardware store (or amazon). The reversal is happening in the powercube itself, and not in the interchangeable adapters. I have contacted customer service and am awaiting a replacement. I will update the review upon receipt of a replacement.I like the concept of the device and seems to be solid construction. Note, this device is larger than I expected, which may be a problem for some when traveling.2Not a super practical form factor, slow USB chargingA few issues prevent this from getting perfect marks. The interchangeable plugs are a good idea, but the mechanism is annoying. It can be very difficult to properly connect and remove the plugs from the charger, and 90% of the time the plug detaches from the unit and stays in the wall when I unplug it. A few times I was in a rush and almost lost the plug because it was stuck in the wall and I didn't notice.I've also found that the USB ports charge more slowly than my iPhone charger does. The big form factor became an issue a couple times, such as in an airport lounge where the outlets were angled into the floor. This charger simply would not fit.Overall I'd probably go with something else.3PowerCube is greatwell made product and works in several areas much letter than the old extension cord or other multiple outlet plugs available on the market. With the outlets in different locations on the square, one has little issue with interference. Only one item I would change and that is USB location. I would place it adjacent to plug versus opposite, as the cube, no matter how placed, puts one of the outlets facing the outlet of a two outlet wall electrical outlet. This does interfere with cube total flexibility.5Not fully functional.I really wanted to like this product. It looks perfect to carry for travel. However, I am now on my second one, I returned the first because it was impossible to plug into one of the outlets, the one above the "PowerCube" label. The same outlet on the new PowerCube has the same problem. It's impossible to plug anything into it. I am unable to find a way to communicate with the manufacturer or the design company, so I'm sending it back as well.1Good (with limits)Pro: Took it on a week's trip to relatives, where we plugged it in the wall and presto! we could charge all our devices without crawling under furniture in the bedroom looking for outlets. Compact and very useful traveling companion. Con: the adapter with two round prongs does not work in much of Italy - you will need to get one that uses two or three smaller prongs. When you plug that adapter into the wall, then the cube, then a device, it creates enough weight to pull the whole shebang out of the wall. We resolved that by propping up the cube from underneath. It's a shame that it's missing the one adapter that would fit plugs in Italy.4Buy it, it does what it says.This power cube is perfect for bedside tables and behind entertainment hubs. It removes the need for those ugly power strips which just look messy.Some reviewers complained that this is hard to extract from the outlet after having been plugged in, however, this has not been my experience. It installs snugly and doesn't fall out. Consider that a snug fit is necessary to prevent it from falling out of the outlet under the load of the cords of the installed articles.Neat, we'll built and convenient, this is a food solid product that you can purchase, at least in my opinion, worry free.5Not durable.Used it on one vacation. It has a loose wire internally and does not work reliably. Will return it. This maybe the reason the USB port did not charge well. It is large, better bet is to bring a smaller USB only charger.2
