Customer Reviews

Great Value for Starting out Photographers I bought this for my Nikon's stock DX VR 18-140mm lens.I wanted this package for the UV filter as I didn't want to drop too much money on another integrated coated filter on a lens I rarely use. (Which btw if you have a nicer prime lens please spend the extra money for the better filter). This is NOT a multi-coated filter, I'm not even sure there's a single coat. But still essential for protecting your lens. The extra's are cool to have. Just more stuff to go into my pile of untouched photography gear.As for the tulip lens hood. It attaches the same way the filters do with the threads on the inside of the lens, and there no other threads on the front side to fix the lens cap on top of that. Which also means that you can't reverse to hood when you don't want to use it.On this particular lens which is not wide angle in case you don't know, the hood shows up in the edge of the image from 18-35mm. Unless you're going for that cheap vignetting effect, not awesome. 4everything but the lens hood is helpfulEverything in this kit is 100% perfect, except for the lens hood. While it attaches well enough there are three problems:1) it causes vignetting at the corners when zoomed all the way out. I've had plenty of lens hoods over the years, none have caused this. There is a considerable amount of space from the front to the back of the lens hood, i suspect to allow it to be very universal and fit nearly every lens of this size. However, when zooming all the way out to utilize your SLR's full range of f/stops, you will get a tunnel effect. which sucks.2) the lens hood doesn't have any way to attach a filter. While this isn't a problem for the "cheap lens insurance" of a UV filter, it causes problems if you want to use a rotating Polarizing filter, or if you need to swap filters quickly, as you'd have to un-thread the hood, install the filter, then screw the hood back on. Had they just made it a bayonet-style attachment, filters could be swapped on the go.3) only the included lens cap fits the lens hood. the stock Canon cap won't...and that's weird.4good Value for money - Sort ofThis is an inexpensive set of filters so not bad for the price...However, the filters tend to screw on to tightly i had to break the Uv lens to get it off my camera lens, thankfully i did not damage my lens in this process. I did not screw the filter on too tight, but upon adding the hood on top of the lens, it became far to tight and i was unable to remove, i have not had the same problem with either of the other 2 filters. I have noticed a couple of other reviewers have had a similar problem with the hood so it may be more of a hood issue than a filter issue, but i have not had problems with any of the others. It came in a nice little carry case which was pretty nice qaulity apart from the Uv filter causing me issues the rest of the set has been good, although i dont really notice to much difference with any of my photos with the filters on.I would probably spend a bit of extra money and purchase a better set next time, i would be annoyed if i had of paid more than around $40 for this set.3This was one good deal, it included three filters I recently purchased a 67MM Professional Lens Filter Accessory Kit for my Canon EOS 70D from Digital Goja. The kit arrived on time even though I had ordered it right before Christmas. The first thing I notice in the box was a Thank You note from Digital Goja with it's commitment to my 100% satisfaction. Not common in this day and age. This was one good deal, it included three filters, a lens hood, extra lens cover, a cap keeper leash, and a micro fiber cleaning cloth all for one very reasonable low sale price. The three filters alone were worth what was charged for the entire kit as they are a very good quality and have already noticed the difference they have made in my photographs. I wouldn't hesistant to do business with Digital Goja again. 5Good deal, very low profileThese are very low profile filters, I barely notice the lens length difference. They seem to work okay. I've mostly used the UV haze one, and it doesn't have as effective coating as other filters I've used. I still get a good deal of haze when there's a strong light from the side, but I guess that's what the included hood is for. :) The lens cap is actually really solid, too - I switched to this lens cap and set aside my old one. All in all, this is a solid kit of accessories! The polarizer rotates smoothly and is indeed polarized with a good neutral grey color response. I haven't used the purple filter yet (it takes the excessive green out of old fluorescent tube lights) but I assume it should do what it's meant to do perfectly well.5Good value for the less discriminating Overall I am pleased due to the price paid, however if I had it do over again I would not purchase this kit. It was an impulse purchase made without much thought. The items are "as described" but a note saying the lens are plastic would have been beneficial. With 3 lens under $20 plus other stuff, I know better. For now I'm still discovering the features and settings of my Canon 70D so they will suffice but when the weather breaks I'll invest in a higher quality CPL and UV (just used only to protect the lens) filter. The florescent light filter is really not needed since the 70D has white balance correction adjustments which are easy to enable and from some rudimentary experimenting seem very capable. Again, I think this is a well valued kit for someone more inclined to point-and-shoot and won't be doing much photo editing or heavy cropping/ zooming. For the less discriminating, its worth the price. 3Caution!!!!Quality of photos with these lenses on is ok - however, they are less focused than without one of these filters. But take caution! DO NOT buy these if you do not enjoy spending your time trying to unscrew stuck filters. I ve had his happen all three times I used the UV filter now, and this last time have tried every possible way you could find online to get it to unscrew with no success. Now, after spending almost two hours trying by myself, I have to go to a camera store to get rid of it. Complete waste of my time, and not worth the cheaper price of the filters and not worth risking damaging your lens either. In my case, I was unable to make good pictures with my camera during my vacation (there was some dust between the filter), and I did end up accidentally damaging my lens while at one point desperately trying to get it loose. Not worth it ever, unless you re trying to find a gift for a camera lover that you don t like.1Good for a cheap set, but with low price comes some limits. This item was on time and everything fit my dslr perfectly. The only issue is that when you have both the lens filter and the lens hood on at the same time, the lens hood will get into the photo at the lenses widest focal length (anything wider than about 28mm (note: approximately 45mm in "full frame" focal length terms due to the 1.6 crop factor on the APS-C sensor)).I generally have never liked wide angle photography that much anyway due to the barrel distortion you get at those focal lengths so the loss of the use of the widest focal lengths is not a very big deal for me.4Awesome price for great products. This is a great product. I purchased these to use for my real estate listings and yacht listings. I really like the CPL filter for the pool areas and dock areas, since it cuts the glare off the water completely. The FLD filter is great for those late evening and early morning shots when the sun is low in the sky. For the price this is a great purchase. 5Good for low budget/beginners These filters will take away sharpness from your video image and just arn't super high quality. Came in handy for a couple years though. I would suggest if you are serious about video image quality, invest in one tiffen or good brand variable ND with step rings for your different glass. Sadly glass is always an investment to go big on because of the quality reduction at lower cost items. But if you're just getting started with a t3i, go for it! 3Good Filter Kit For My Nikon D5500I must admit, I didn't expect this kit to be so nice for the price. I tested all the lenses and accessories. They are all of good quality and I'm sure they will come in handy when needed. The case is a nice touch. Keeps each lens separate with one extra pocket for the instructions. The lens caps works perfectly and the tulip is of a professional grade. The tulip takes some getting use to - you have to screw it on and then use the ring with the little notches to tighten it. As some others have mentioned, the lens cloth is just another lens cloth, but they do come in handy. I just can't have enough of them. All in all I'm very pleased with the kit. The only slight issue I had is when shooting at 18mm to 30mm, the corners are clipped. I have experienced severe vignetting or black corners on some images because of that, but that is only a small price to pay for a beautiful photo.5Great kit I purchased the 67MM Professional Lens Filter Accessory Kit and they are all Vivitar filters. 40 plus years ago when I was in photography Vivitar was my go to. We're talking lens also. They allowed the average consumer to be able to be into photography affordably without giving up quality. They didn't fail me then, and I have no reason to believe they will fail me now. These kits are very well put together. It has all you need for filtering, UV, CPL, and FLD, keeping things clean, plus a lens hood. And the filters come in a sturdy case that keep the filters separated and easily accessible. A nice plus when you put them in your camera case. One of the biggest reasons I purchased the filters is for the UV filter. Not only because of its filtering, but because the filter provides a protection for your expensive lens. I would rather break the filter than the glass inside the lens. Also another reason I needed this filter kit is because it supplies a lens hood. Of course it screws on to the filter ring, but it's a lens hood none the less. My only concern will be vignetting; not sure how the 500mm lens will react. Haven't found a need to use the FLD filter, but the CPL filter works great. Rotating the filter to achieve that look in the frame is what I remember when I started photography long ago.Have to easily give this kit 5 stars. 5Excellent ValueThis kit is an excellent value. The lens filters seem to be very high quality, I was a bit shocked really with how substantial they seem given the price. The case it comes with is padded well and has room for some extra stuff besides the filters. The lens cap does seem cheap compared to the Canon ones but it comes with a strap and doesn't seem flimsy so it's still a welcome addition. It's not a bad thing to have a spare cap either. I haven't used the stick-on lens strap because I don't really trust the adhesive, but it probably works fine and I might try it later. The lens hood seems durable and fits well, I just wish it had threads on the face of it for the filters. Only one of the filters is threaded on both sides so it is the only one you can combine with the hood. I believe it was the FLD filter. Overall, despite a couple things that could be improved, this is still a great deal and a good addition to anyone's camera bag.5One item needed and others to experiment withsome things are just not meant to be in my camera case. These gave me a hard time to align when I wanted to change the covers. maybe it is just me - they looked great and Vivitar usually makes great products. This set had the one item I needed and it gave me the option to try things I did not and had not used before. I would purchase it again because of the name brand but I did not need all the extras. I would have preferred to find it as a single lens - but that option cost more than the set. If they were easier to exchange one lens for the other I would have given it a better rating.3Nice Package of Products at a great price Digital Goja (Walter) continues to provide good products at very competitive pricing. I own and have compared the very high cost brand name Camera Lens Filters - you know - the ($50-$70 each types), and have honestly seen little difference between these lower priced Lens Filters and those of high repute.Example: A couple of my $60+ Filters have easily lost their Multi-coating finish by having to simply breathe on them to help remove a slightly "more stuck" piece of particulate material - that a Lens brush did not remove - that somehow find their way onto a Lens surface while capturing Wildlife images, and using a super soft Micro cloth with very light touch. These lower cost Filters Multi-coating are not any better, but they also do not cost $50-$70 each. The photo snobs will say, this review may not hold water, that these low cost Filters are in no way as good as the high end Filters - I somewhat agree - but these lower end Filters do a reasonably good job at a much lower cost, so it is your choice. This package also provides a lot of product at a great price. Hope this helps others. 5Awesome Kit for a BeginnerI bought this on a quick whim after having my new Nikon D3300 for about a week knowing I was going out to do a few first time photos at the beach. I like that it came with a little pouch, a cleaning cloth, and an extra lens cap. I would definitely recommend this to a beginner starting out in photography. If I need anything more, I will definitely check out Goja for some more items. Also a little note is the little typed up letter from the president of the company. It's nice that they'll take care of their customers and I wish more companies would put things like that into their product. It's always good to know that they stand behind their products if anything is ever wrong.5Great Value For Money (Great For Beginners Too)You always think you don't need a protective filter until you drop a lens. I also have lens hoods on all of my lenses for extra protection. That was the one downside (and loss of a star) for the tulip hood in this kit. As many have said before it is of poor design and wasn't very "thought out" when made. Still for the low price you can't really complain too much. In the case of the dropped lens, the UV filter cracked, but the lens itself was intact. It never imaged very well in the first place, so no big loss.I decided to do some tests using the same lens and a few different filters. Depending on your filters and subject your shooting (in terms of lighting), ghosting can be seen. They were virtually eliminated by the Hoya and B&W filters. If anything, the B&W had a slight (very slight) superiority of flare resistance making it better than the Hoya. The Goja were close to the Hoya SHMC, but a little more prone to ghosting. In Gojas' defense however, you do get what you pay for. I have since bought two sets as I gave a set to my son who is very new to photography and will be a nice addition to his D3300 beginners kit.4Exactly what I was looking for Product is exactly as described plus they threw in a little gift and personalized customer service note from owner. Follow up on satisfaction with product has been super. Case is well made and fits snugly in my camera case without taking up much room. Lens are doing perfectly on my Nikon. 5Good filters and included accessories Vivitar filters are nice, upon inspection reveal no visual deformities through the lens. There are a few light swirls on the FLD filter, but it seems to not show up on a photographs. So far I'm pleased with the rest of the kit, the hood is adjustable, fits well, the lens cap fits on the hood, so that is good (doesn't fit well on the lens, however, but your mileage may vary, I'm using a vivitar lens from quite a few years back)All in all, I think this was a good deal, accessories included that are not vivitar brand seem well made. Definitely no complaints from me. 5
