    Wake Tower Speaker This speaker pair is a fair value. The speakers that shipped with the pair are very low quality. I replaced them with a pair of high quality JL Audio speakers and they sound great. The Mounting Brackets are made from plastic, and do not hold up well in the wakeboard enviornment. My tower is 1-3/4" so the brackets do not work very well. Both of them broke in the middle where the bracket makes contact with the tower because of the pressure placed on those mounting points. I phoned the manufacturer and they did replace them no charge. I have since taken a thick piece of rubber to use inside the clamp and the bracket to make the mounting point of the tower 2-1/2 inches. This way it has even clamping power around the entire tube. I think the manufacturer knows there is an issue because the speakers ship with a safety wire. 3Absolute crap. The pods arrived with the speakers loose and ... Absolute crap. The pods arrived with the speakers loose and rattling around inside the pods! After removing the front grille, I discovered the speakers had been just stuffed inside the pods, with four screws rattling around. The wires and capacitor that had been hot glued to the side of the speaker had broken free also. I have never seen more shoddy construction in a product ever. 1These speakers are OK for what I'm using them for. These were about the least expensive wakeboard tower speakers I could find that looked fairly decent. I installed them on the T-top of a center console fishing boat. There wasn't a good place in the boat to put regular flush mount speaker so for what I wanted I'm pretty much satisfied. If you want something you can hear 50-75 feet behind a boat while riding a wakeboard I would not purchase these. 4Fast delivery Product arrived faster than expected. Installed in a 21' roundabout with 5.7L, can hear the speakers loud and clear at 60 mph. Some review questioned the durability of the brackets, in my opinion, they are plenty strong enough to hold them. You definitely need a subwoofer with these as they are only mids with a tweeter. I have these with 2 other 6.5's and 2 6x9s that are mounted inside the boat with a 12' down firing sub mounted inside the engine compartment and Concept 800watt amp to push it all. It sounded good before, but after adding these tower speakers, it really kicks A$$. 5So far so good. So far so good. Very nice sound and efficient. I thought I would need to add a booster amp to get the sound level I wanted, but these are plenty loud without the assistance. Sound is well balanced. Mounting hardware is good. Much better overall package than the cheaper wakeboard speakers I purchased last year. I'll update this review if I have any issues. I have only used these a few times since I mounted them. 5Rusting away... Total rust buckets! They are supposed to be waterproof wakeboard speakers and the screws and terminals rusted out within 2 weeks. I can't get the rust to stop no matter what I use. They were less expensive than the other speakers on Amazon and I wish I had chosen the others. I bought a pair in black and one in white, the white ones really show the rust.PS They sound great though...Boat captain and marine manager 1Would buy them again for another install Love the speakers for the price, very easy install. Easy wiring setup. I preferred these for price and fitment on my Polaris Rzr and being marine quality. And I m blown away by the sound. Put the 6.5 up front with the 8 in the back 5wakeboard speakers I received these during the winter when I opened them to install they were broken. the speaker mounting plastic where the screws conected them to the housing were all broke. I did not have time to return them so I fixed with longer screws and glue. very disapointed as this is my second set I added to my boat. The sound is very good 3Great product for the price Great proud sounds great! Easy to install!!! 5Used for a rhino not a boat I bought these and used them in my rhino for off roading in the dunes and just cruising through the desert. I am writing this review 2 years later I bought them dec of 09 its now dec of 11. They are good speakers I could hear them very clear with a few audio adjustments to the deck. They had good bass when needed and treble. If your looking for a quick $100 speaker set and dont wanna spend $500-$1000 on other rhino audio set ups these arent bad. The only bad thing that happened to them was the mounting brackets snapped after 2 years. The sand and vibration got the best of these though. They are pretty much shot now but for $100 for 2 years that aint bad. Now i am actually gunna order the 8in 300watt ones to install into the rhino. 3
