    nice dispersement This 6" cover has a nice look lit and unlit. Light appears to disperse a bit more than straight down. Much cheaper than a Juno shower cover. Has two strong spring clip that slide up inside the mounts. I think you will be happy. I think you can paint the trim any color. 5Beyond excellent !!!! Works beautifully! Clips fit right into housing and took all of 30seconds to install. took longer to take out of the package. The lens helped focus the light and actually made the shower brighter when installed. It did cut down on the volume of the speaker but that is to be expected. Ordering another for the master shower. 5Better Choice Yes, this is just a simple can light cover and what can one say. Well, there is something useful to know about this product. If you need a replacement cover it's probably because you broke yours during the bulb replacement process. That's also probably because the plastic where the torsion bars attach had broken and/or deteriorated. This product still uses those springs or torsion bars, but the attachment point is metal. That's important if you don't want to buy a new cover with every bulb change. I did fold up the v-shaped bars slightly to lighten the tension but make the install a little easier. Doesn't affect the firmness of the installation. There is a sealing gasket but I did have a small amount of light leakage around the cover. Less that my previous cover though. Not an issue for me and if I didn't have a 16' ceiling I might have tried to correct a bit. Get this metal cover. It will last. 5Perfectly fine but missing an installation instruction page Only thing missing was an installation instruction page. Find a youtube video if you are a homeowner like me and installing one for the first time. It is really, really easy, but only once you have an idea of where it attaches in the recessed lighting cannister. 5Perfect for my needs. Just what I needed! I needed a solution for my shower that would enable me to add a colored led bulb, this is perfect! Glass lens doesn t distort or change the light color and allows the light to remain bright. Perfect. 5Exactly what I needed! Previous shower trim used a glass fresnel and plastic trim. Removal/replacement of bulb ended up in low quality plastic trim breaking. I could not find a standalone metal trim. After breaking 2x over the years, I found this item and couldn't be more pleased! Thank you! 5Well Made Replacement with STRONG Springs This replacement part is better than the original. The mounting springs attach to metal rather than the plastic used in my original. It's a pretty easy installation, once you get a handle on the strong spring arms. I suggest you wear leather work gloves when positioning the springs in the lighting can. Don't ask me how I know this. 5Brightens up a wet room. The ceiling over the tub and shower are 10 feet high, but have conventional can lights, rated at 60 watts, making for a dim washing area. Using CFLs, I got the light up to a 100 watt equivalent, but still weak with the frosted lenses. Thus these. The Fresnel lenses focus the light so there is less diffusion and more light where I want it. I'm delighted. 5Fantastic. I searched a long time for 6" Fresnel ... Fantastic. I searched a long time for 6" Fresnel lens with all metal construction. The price was perfect and product is great. This product does not have a plastic lens that will yellow/discolor over time and it does not have any plastic construction that becomes brittle from the heat and cracks whenever you replace a bulb. The clear Fresnel lens is beautiful and increases the brightness throughout the shower and bathroom. The dense foam gasket should last the entire product life as well. Thanks to all who answered my questions about this product too. Product was delivered in 2-3 days using amazon prime. Hint: pre-flex or slightly bend the metal springs to make installation easier. One lens was loose but with needle-nose pliers I bent the metal tab that holds it in place for a quick fix. I recommend this product based on quality and price. 5
