    Great idea, too small to work and color is off Tried using these to replace a Halo shower light trim kit with a new LED recessed replacement fixture. The Halo is trim is 8" in diameter and these rings are slightly smaller. They did not provide the coverage I needed as I overcut the original mounting hole. They also do not match the color of the fixture, they are slightly off. I ended up with an LED bulb and the original fixture. 2Can be enlarged to fit a 6" LED ultra-thin wafer downlight to cover hole from 6" can light An energy audit showed how much air was coming thru recessed can lights. Can light holes are bigger than you need for a true 6" downlight. I used a utility knife to trim about 1/16 in off the inside and they fit the new Lithonia ultra-thin led downlights which are air tight. The trim ring looks like it was part of the original light!. No more air leaks! 5They are perfect. See the photo We had to convert 8" can openings to 6" on our screen porch in order to use Alexa controlled lights. We did this since the fan was on the same switch and we did not want to run another wire. We had ordered deep inserts so the small bulbs did not sit in a large opening. However since we had vinyl we had a 1" discolored ring around the edge of all 3 cans. . We ordered the rings that were the same diameter as the original 7.5" outside diameter and the 6" interior diameter. They are perfect. See the photo. 5Did the trick! This hid my big old holes from former ceiling light kits. I didn t know what to do to make all big holes smaller to accommodate new insulatable light fixtures in our living room ceiling. I ordered these with big hopes and I am thrilled To say they work. Recommend these to other do it yourselfers faced with the same problem as we had 5Easy fix for recessed lighting update. I am updating recessed lighting in my kitchen to LED versions. I had to replace the can because the temperature sensor had blown. Low profile LEDs are an easy replacement, but the original holes were cut a little large in the dry wall. These rings are an easy fix. One thin I had to do was snip out material from the inner side so that it would fit correctly over the new LEDs. The plastic is easy to pare away with some cutters, and cut edge is hidden under the flange of the light. The result looks great, and was much easier than spackling and painting the dry wall! 5Just what I needed at a great price. This was a quick and inexpensive fix for trim rings that looked awful against my newly painted ceiling. The price was perfect, and they did the job. No problems or complaints. 5The only rings I could find a fix my problem Should ve measured my lights instead of assuming the size. The rings were fairly easy to trim down the center using a razor blade 4Love them I recently bought a house where it appears the previous owners were DIYers. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem. However, these people only came at their projects halfway, and apparently didn't follow the measure twice cut once rule. Almost every single can light in the ceiling had giant gaps and holes around it. Thankfully, they make these trim rings. They were simple enough to put on, just drop the can light and slip them over. The lights look so much better with the trim around them and now it doesn't look like a DIY nightmare! I attached pictures to show just how nice of a difference these trim rings can make.There is also the fact that when we were pricing them out, Home Depot and Lowes only had single rings for recessed lights that came with a baffle, and one of them was the price of 5 from Amazon. We didn't need anything super decorative, really just something to cover up the hole that was too large. 5Not returnable! Did not work with our can lights. These were delivered one week ago. When choosing the return items choice, simply says not eligible for return and refers us to an entire page of return policies.
