Stopped after 1 week.The product is okay for the price but seems these have problems after about a week of use. The speakers stopped working unless the speaker was touched and that brought them back to life temporarily and then out they go when not touched. They were run on 4 channel mode on channel 3 & 4 with a 500 watt amp giving them about 100 to 125 watts each with the amp channels set to about 75-90% variably. They sounded good enough to listen to music in my car but I don't see these as my final solution even though the seller has replaced them due to the problem with this particular defective set. They were audible with 20 watts to each speaker but not loud enough to listen with my 10 inch woofers therefore I hooked them up with 125 watts each. These are rated 200 Watt speakers each. There is just some type of internal wiring defective. So 3 of 5 stars because this set didn't last after 1 week. :( Now I'll listen to bass only until I get better speakers for full range in front.3Sea going speakerI bought 2 pair of these little weatherproof speakers for my Sport 13 Boston Whaler, replacing the older & heavier Duals. I like the fact that they're small in size but still have pretty good sound, they also match my Hull color. Installing them was easy though when I screwed in the little white knob to secure the speaker to it's metal bracket, it refused to tighten, the knob is still stuck in the speaker. I had to purchase 12 small washers to beef-up the screw which made for a very tight fit. I have an open boat & even though the speakers are mounted under the front console/bench seat, the quality of sound, ain't too shabby, not mind blowing but good enough. I also like the fact that the grills aren't metal so I needn't worry about rust. I would recommend them as you probably won't find a reasonably good pair of small weatherproof speakers at less then $20,00 for a pair. They look custom made on my Whaler.3cheap but they work I wanted something I could trash in my old jeep and these seemed perfect. I had be be immaginative to get them mounted, but they have worked great since then. I can hear my radio even with the top off the jeep. They don't produce great sound, but what do you expect for this price. I just want them to be loud enough to hear over the road noises. The fact that they are water proof is a big bonus. I sometimes get a little rain when the top is off the jeep and I don't have to worry about them getting a little wet. They are fragile, so when you put them in be careful (I broke one, had to tear it appart and re-assemble) and make sure the are in a safe spot. Should work fine if you do that. 4speaker wire inputs are kaputsboth speaker wire inputs/outputs; springs popped out hardware fell apart, if you aren't an electrician I don't suggest buying these speakers. the inputs/outputs for the speaker wire are so flimsy that hey self destruct even with the most delicate handling.1BUEN PRODUCTO Y SONIDO POR SU PRECIOBastante buenos en relaci n a precio, lucen muy bien y suena bastante bien, solo son un poco m s peque os de lo esperado y no tienen tanta potencia, pero para un espacio peque o son bastante buenos. If the company is paying attention to the reviews, please replace the face screens with plastic or nylon fabric4Not sure I'd call this "Weather Proof"I hooked these up in the cockpit of my boat where they are *mostly* protected from the rain (They are located under a roof, but can still get wet from wind blowing the rain on them) . They sound pretty decent, however the once white speaker grills are now rust stained. I was going to repaint them, but the grills don't detach easily. I can't really complain too much because they were pretty cheap, but if these had plastic grills, they'd be better for weather like rain.3Just what do you expect @ ten bucks a box?OK I admit I don't like misrepresentation but all things considered these are sleazy little boxes @ $10 you expect Tannoy EV or RCF?I bought them for near field monitors for the laptop, they do a decent job at defining percussion fairly well the hi end is raggedand there is at least some accuracy in the low end at low to normal levels, just perfect for watching movies in hotels motels etc, now for Joe Isuzu (who I really like).Truth in advertising ???? "3 Way"??? there is a cone driver, a 1.75" piezo and a psychological "super tweeter" (Shiny foil disk, no wires), not to mention the "capacitor crossover network" now technically a piezo element is a capacitor or at least it behaves like one, the impedance decreases as the frequency raises, I did stuff a 12 ohm 1/2 watt in series with the piezo but... it ain't a crossover!I cannot imagine what bogus power rating system they use, I think it's the same one that rates a $110 component that draws a maximum of 160 watts from the wall and delivers 800 watts a channel, sorry pal, watts don't just magically pop into existence without EMF, if they did the energy crises would be historic.If your looking for the truth remember WRMS (watts root mean square) or in audio land "Really means something", I'll bet if I took my Ampeg SVT, drove it to 20 VRMS @ 1.5 khz and stuffed that into one of these boxes, I'd let the smoke out of it in pretty short order.3Poor Paint & Customer ServiceReally surprised this product is listed as an "Amazon Choice" since it did not hold up after three months and the customer service was difficult to get hold of and uninterested in helping. The paint on one of the metal screens failed quickly (other speaker is fine so far in same environment). Clearly an inconsistent quality process and the only suggestion was to try to pry off the screen and repaint it myself. Why not just send a replacement product or screen? Didn't expect a high end speaker for this price, but since it said weather proof and I was mounting this in a completely covered area, I did not expect a problem. Happy to change the review if Amazon or the vendor issues a replacement but for now I cannot recommend.1Needs work Several of the previous reviews are right on. I got 4 of these speakers for my boat. They actually sound pretty decent... especially for the price. Don't expect instructions because they don't come with any...not that you should need them. It's pretty straight forward.The design on the mounting brackets is cheap. The brackets themselves are OK, but the internal nuts to hold the locking knobs are terrible. If you tighten the locking down knobs down all the way (something that you will try to do because they don't keep the speaker from turning otherwise) they nuts on the inside will come off and you won't be able to get your locking knobs out...and they still won't tighten. I recommend putting a washer or two in there before you attached the locking knobs. That might save you from doing what I had to do.In order to fix this problem, I had to take all 4 speakers apart and superglue the internal nuts back in place. Once I figured out the first one, it wasn't too difficult to repeat the process on the others, but it is still a poor design. I shouldn't have to fix a design flaw right out of the box.Take care mounting these and they will probably do the trick for you...but be careful. 2
