    We these did the trick very nicely bring back the mid highs and highsI needed something for my home theater system to brighten up sound. Being that I'm a 65 year old with some loss of hearing the system just sounds muddier and muddier the older I get. Well these did the trick very nicely to bring back the mid highs and high sounds. I can again hear the tinkling of wind chimes, the mid of trumpets and the crashing of cymbals as well as the flying of debris after the sound of a big explosion or every word of low whispered discussions. I bought 3 pairs and used them as complements to my existing center, L,R fronts and L,R rears. It sounds like I just went out and bough all new high end speakers. They came fast and were well packaged. I highly recommend these tweeters. 5Excellent inexpensive tweetersI attached these tweeters to a pair of bookshelf speakers that sounded a bit dull. (It's very simple.) They add a nice "sheen" to the treble, without being harsh or intrusive. And they look pretty cool, too. 5They are GREAT I wish they extended to 40 K Hertz.Many tears age Radio Shack used to make these tweeters under their name REALISTIC and I have lots of them in every home I own. For years I was looking for something similar until I found those PYRAMID ones almost exactly the same shape as the REALISTIC ones. I was stunned I immediately bought 2 and then another 4. Now to justify the 1 star I hold back: These go up to 25Khertz whereas radio Shacks were up to 40 K Hertz. Granted the normal human ear can only hear up to 25K Hertz which goes down to 15 K Hertz with age , so what is the big deal ? very simply even thought you can not hear the 40 K Hertz frequency this range gives a different pizzazz and stumpf.even to the 15 or 20 K Hertz that you can hear. So even we can not find the good old REALISTICs . Yes- I still enjoy the REALISTIC ones. Having said all these: I am NOT turning down the PYRAMIDs. They are excellent, consistent sound, they can be added to any speaker system and they DO sound excellent. They are designed for homes , they look good and they can stand a 300W load. Highly recommended. They will add life to any stereo system no matter what quality. They also can be added to TV sets if you can and it will enchant the speech to make it crisper and easier to understand. Naturally their sound volume depends on your equipment how much juice they can feed to the tweeters , some do more, some do less. But they will sound good no matter what. I wonder why PYRAMID since they adopted the design , shape , looks of the REALISTIC ones why they did not go up to 40 K Hertz ! to makew it perfect ? ! . 4Added sparkle to my tower speakersI bought these free-standing tweeters to work with my Polk Audio Monitor 60 floor towers. The 60's are smooth and well-balanced, but seemed to lack a bit of crispness for recreating the sound of cymbals and snares. I received my Pyramid tweeters and immediately hooked them up in parallel with the towers. The Pyramids apparently contain their own crossover networks.Placing them on top of the towers, I stepped back to listen and found the resulting sound to be almost perfect. The Pyramids added just enough highs to bring the rhythm instruments into the room. There was just a touch of harshness so I turned the tweeters around to face the wall behind the speakers. Ah, just right. The frequency balance sounds just right and I get an added touch of reflected sound to add to the ambience. 5Great valueThis tweeter provides great value as it s hard to find a tweeter housing anywhere on the market. This will give you a tweeter and a housing. You can swap tweeters with any tweeter the same size. To me the housing has equal amount of value for my needs. 5Excellent HighsI think many 70's music heads are looking for the crystal clear sound of a set of vintage Radio Shack super tweeters, I have to say these tweeters are in the ball park with crystal clear highs, you cant go wrong with this add on to any audio system. 5Excellent Supplemental Tweeters for some speakersDecades ago, I had Realistic Super-Tweeters. They are long gone. I loved them for speakers that lacked decent high frequency.I have a few systems where the high frequencies are lacking, and these really step up to the high-end audio plate. No complaints. I hooked them up and they made a world of difference.Are they as good or better than the old Super-Tweeters I had? I don't know because I can't compare. But they sure sound great to me. Super CRISP high end is what I like in a sound or surround system. These deliver. 5Nice highs. The speakers are larger and heavier than ...Nice highs. The speakers are larger and heavier than I expected, but they sound great. They come with a capacitor soldered in line to cut out the lows. I bet they would sound better though if you remove the capacitor and connect it to a dedicated crossover. 5Just the right amount of highs for my setup. You can remove and mount the tweeter in your own enclosure if you wish..These are much heavier than I expected. Well made. If you wish, you can easily remove them from the housing and mount in your own enclosure; they even come with a paper template for doing so. I use them as pictured. I just wanted to add some highs to an otherwise decent speaker system that lacked them. These fit the bill well. Not overpowering, just the right amount for my setup. If you want to change the crossover frequency, just open the housings and replace the bass-blocking capacitor with a different one. I purchased a capacitor to make the crossover at a higher frequency when I ordered these, but didn't need it. These speakers are 5 ohms impedance (I opened them and checked at the speaker directly, since the capacitor is in-line, as they say 4-8 ohms on the back. 4 ohms or 8 ohms are very different in how they affect the crossover frequency. I would buy them again. 4These speakers go a long to improving my old school Tv soundI placed the speakers in my Tv/Stereo cabinet and hooked them up in series with a couple of Sony Bookshelf speakers.I enjoy my 50 inch Sceptre Tv, but the sound has always been inadequate. They work well with my old Sherwood Receiver and are a more practical choice for me then a sound bar Well worth the money 5
