    Great product... but...Update:Read below for initial review. 10/1/19 - bigger box is now making a humming sound. I unplugged until I need it. I m not worried but my wife thinks house is going to go up in flames.Initial review:Product was purchased on two separate occasions in order to install two Nest E thermostats.The two that I received did the job.... on both thermostats, I needed an extra wire to supply a constant current for the AC side.However, I gave it a four star rating because the product I received first had a different appearance than the second one.... even though I clicked on the buy it again button.The first one had a green light and smaller box and the second was a bit bigger and did not have a green (power on) display light.However, like I said, it does what it s supposed to do.4Works well for the Culligan Water Softener 24 VAC transformer replacementPros:1. Inexpensive2. Replaces my Culligan Water Medalist Plus Series Softener 24 VAC transformer without a hitchCons:NONE.5Ordered twice...both transformers in pieces.Mine came in pieces like TedP's did. I also don't see how the back is supposed to stay on. Very disappointed. It came in pieces, with a missing screw on the low-voltage side as well as a torn wire from the transformer to the low voltage terminal. I can't even see how it's supposed to stay together as there are no screws. Perhaps it's supposed to be a friction fit. It's just a transformer: normally, I wouldn't leave a poor review for quality issues like this (assuming they are a one-off), but effectively, I'm paying for the case to hold a $5 transformer.1Thumbs up!Worked perfectly for our needs- replacement for our older water softener.5
