Great product These are really good. The light has the perfect amount of brightness. I used them to install a car battery at night with no lights around. They clipped on to my hood easily and provided enough light that enabled me to remove my old car battery and install a new one. These are so good I might get another pair. These lights can be a life saver if you are stranded. I highly recommend getting these for safety and ease of use. 5Wow! Very impressed I was a little skeptical when I bought these. But we were going on a road trip and wanted to have something like this in the car. Well, it's a good thing we bought them because while traveling they needed to be used; for changing a tire, walking the dog etc. I can not believe how bright these guys are. It's almost blinding and floods a good area with light. Bonus that it can magnetically attach to the car as well. I am very happy I purchased these. Great product. 5Great emergency lights for the car! I ordered the two pack for my car. They're smaller than I thought, but that's not a bad thing. These are not high performance lights that are going to light up a large outdoor area. For lighting a close space, though, such as when changing a tire or searching through a vehicle's cargo area, these work really well. The side light throws an even, wide flood, which is great for task work, esp. when used with the magnet. The tip glows bright orange when the end light is on, making them easy to see from every direction. They are lightweight and seem sturdy enough. The only quality issue that I can cite is that the battery cover didn't snap into place very firmly. I don't foresee this as a major problem, but it makes me doubt that they will be anything more than mildly water resistant.Overall, great lights for the price ($15 for two). 5Great These are great flashlights to add to your emergency and non-emergency supplies. The magnet allows you to attach it as a lantern to any available metal surface, freeing your hands. They are different from similar products in that they are much slimmer and lighter. They take up less space in your car console box or toolbox, and are much lighter in a backpack or toolbelt. But they give very bright light. Also, they are coated with a rubbery plastic which is easy and comfortable to grip. They do not have the flashing red light that other emergency flashlights have, but I have a big flashlight for that, and how often will you need the red light? Whereas this smaller, lighter flashlight will be used much more often in more situations. Will make great, useful gifts for anybody. 5Handy emergency flashlight This is a good emergency flashlight to keep in your car. The magnet at the base will allow for hands-free operation.The selling point of this LED flashlight is the magnet at the base. This magnet can come in handy when you don't have a second person to hold the flashlight while you do an emergency vehicle repair. There are two options for light sources. The focused beam at the end of the tube and the area light coming from the side of the body. The amount of light is what you would expect from an LED light of this size that uses the same size and number of battery cells.Batteries are not included. But they use regular AA that should be easy enough to find. The problem with keeping batteries inside a device for long periods of time is the leak. Battery leaks are one of the leading causes of electronic device damage. I recommend that you use rechargeable batteries because they rarely leak. Alkaline batteries have a tendency to leak. So keep a freshly charged NIMH battery in your car near this flashlight.I would have given this five stars but the door to the battery compartment is not as secure as I would have liked. Aside for that, this is an inexpensive item that should be part of your tool set. Highly recommended. 4Compact, Versatile, Bright & Durable light source! Very nice, bright, versatile light. And so far reliable! I like the fact that it runs on just a couple of AAA batteries and has both a traditional flashlight type of beam and a side beam. Also has a strong magnet to enable placing it on any magnetic friendy metal surface. It seems fairly well built and sturdy and has therefore exceeded my expectations! 5Pleasantly surprised. Brightness is good. Features are nice. 5 star flashlight for the low price as I have tested it for a half hour to see if it actually works.While I ve yet to have a roadside stop or any other thing to do with my car since I bought it only a month ago.The flashlight itself on the head is bright enough for basic usage, but I may want something brighter than this at night in the middle of nowhere or wherever! Maybe around a couple hundred lumens brighter than what this light outputs. I also have a cheap wind up modern LED flashlight inside my trunk as well that was given to me, and this orange flashlight is much much brighter!!This light is cheap plastic on the outside, yes, but it feels heavy-duty enough that it ll work when intended. My advice is if one is in a rainstorm, try not to expose this flashlight to water too much. Such as, keep the flashlight well guarded under the hood for inspection if needed as a cautionary measure. Or, you can get a waterproof flashlight with a magnetic tail cap! I know they are out there! I was just cheap.I also like to keep the 3 aaa batteries hooked around a rubber band on the outside till I need to use it for battery safety reasons, as I keep the light inside the car s glove compartment. It s small enough to fit on the inside car door driver seat pocket as well. I didn t check the middle console oddly enough haha!!It s a really handy flashlight and the magnet works as it should without easily falling off the car hood as I thought it would. It s also my first magnetic tipped flashlight of any kind and I am surprised I haven t heard of them before. I should have bought 2 and given one to my parents or just keep around the house. 5Perfect, simple, design. GREAT value. Exactly what you want in the glove box. This is not a fancy flashlight, it s made of cheap plastic, with just okay build quality, but it is exactly what you want in your glove box/spare tire bay. When you re stuck in the dark, on the side of the road, this is the tool you want. Big bright LED will light entire engine bay, anti roll design keeps it in place, nice strong magnet on the back snaps to any steel part of the car, and pocket clip keeps the light on whatever you are looking at. Yeah, I d love a waterproof one made of some nice machined aluminum, but for $5, this will work just fine.Only real design improvement would be a red or yellow safety strobe.These are a must for any vehicle. 5A good emergency light on the road These are really light weight flashlights. The two modes work well as a basic flashlight and a basic lamp. I do wish the orange plastic wasn't so translucent, a lot of light bleeds through the plastic when using the flashlight, but as a basic tool it works fine. There doesn't look like any water resistance so these may fail in the rain. I put this one in my glove box for light on the road when I need it. If it survives the heat car heat for 6 months I think I have a winner for a handy emergency car light. It is pretty small and the magnet is quite strong. 4Ordering more for all my vehicles I bought the twin pack and I'm about to buy another twin pack. If you are looking for a cheap but very effective emergency light to place in your trunk or glove box this is it. I frequently tow trailers and have changed my fair share of tires on the side of the road in the dark and that is primarily why I ordered these. The magnet on the end of these is very strong and holds perfectly to my fenders. The lights are very bright and illuminate the work area extremely well. For changing a tire one light is more than adequate. Near one of the ends of the light there is a hexagon shape molded into the handle. This little detail is easy to overlook but it serves the important purpose of making sure the light doesn't roll away if you need to lay it down and keep the light pointed at something. Overall I'd say they are perfectly sized. Big enough to do the job yet small enough that they can be packed out of the way when not in use, perfect for a glove box or small automotive tool bag.If I could make a suggestion I would ask that a future model include a red light. A solid or flashing red light could serve as a hazard or signal light and increase its usefulness as an emergency flashlight. 5
