Didn't install within warranty period thus defect was not discorded in time so it's a total loss.1Ok but sound quality is not greatI installed these speakers on my 20 foot boat, driven by a Kenwood KMR-M505DAB. The speakers can handle power, but the tweeters leave much to be desired. Mids and highs sound very confused up to the extent that sometimes it sounds like you're listening to an FM radio station with STEREO on and bad reception.Just to clarify - I checked them at home with my Denon amplifier and the tweeters sounded the same - so this confirms that the issue is the speakers and not the Kenwood radio.3Great valuethese are holding up on our boat now for almost a year - durablethey sound great too5Really awesome!These speakers are so much more than I was hoping for. They are in my 21 foot Regal and the sound they produce is really awesome. I have them powered by a 90 Watt RMS Sound stream Bluetooth amp and they far exceed my expectations. I wish I could fit two more of them where I have two JL Audio 6 1/2 inch speakers that cost twice as much. Everyone asks what I have for a Subwoofer and I tell them I don't have one. Anyone complaining they don't produce enough Bass must not have enough power driving them. They can't believe how inexpensive they were.5Broken loose tweeters from 2 sets poor qualityOrdered 2 sets, had to return both set because tweeter are broken loose from speakers, very poorly put together. Glue did not hold tweeter in place.... very disappointing. Never installed, this problem is straight out of the box.1Impressive low cost speaker capable of big sound, but little harsh at high volumesBuying speakers is so subjective, everyone has a different sound quality they consider acceptable.I first read all the negative reviews, and for the price i had to try them.My boat was purchased used with a set of 5 Kenwood installed and no deck, so first year we had no tunes.I installed JL Auddio 700/6 amp and Jl 50 m media center and connected the old speakers and was shocked, they actually sounded pretty good.When out of the lake on windly rough day the 5 speakers just were not enough. It became quite clear to me how people can blow there speakers quite easily by over powering.So added 2 of these 8 inch speakers to back of the boat, run slightly higher gain on amp to the 8 rear over the 5 fronts, and the sound output seems to have doubled and on rough windy days i still well bellow the -16 dB level i was playing the 5 at.I use a recording device to record the speakers at high levels and then play it back with head phones at low levels to fun the Max volume there becomes audible distortion. Then i can find my max volume level without damaging the speakers.The sound quality isn t one of my fav as I m very partial to silk tweeter and softer speakers like, boss, high end automotive jl audio. And in large spaces like my shop Klipsh.But the bang for the buck on these is a bargain i would have lost money betting against these that they couldn t or wouldn t sound 1/2 as good as they do.I really checked the tweeters good after the reviews said so many came loose or broken. I couldn t get either of these to budge.Add in.There a little lacking in response at low levels so i would recommend paring them up with a 4-5.5 speakers to get better low volume responses and the ability to have beach party5Tweeter broken off in first set, but second set OKTweeter broken off on one speaker. Just started the return and ordered a new pair. Hopefully I won t get defective products this time. Will update after I get new pair.Got the second pair today, hooked them up individually in the pontoon to confirm they weren t blow, they sounded good. Full install w amp to come soon!4
